- Hannah and Fredrik travel to Australia for five professional events. Two of these events were on the Ladies European Tour and Hannah managed to make the cut in her first ever LET event. Unfortunately the second LET event was canceled due to heavy rain.
The final event of the trip was... a special one. The 2024 Sand Greens World Championship! And yes... the greens are made of sand. Throughout Australia, there are approximately 400 courses that have greens of oiled sand or some other similar material, usually due to the high cost of maintaining grass greens by small clubs in rural areas.
This event was hosted by the WPGA and NSW Golf. We are extremely thankful for the invites to come play in Australia and hope to be back soon!
Great job, Hannah! Congrats on the engagement to you both!
Thank you so much Joshua 🙏
I love playing in outback Australia on sand greens. Always fun.
Wow, great news about the engagement, congratulations! I think it’s helping you settle in to some good golf as well Hannah. Congrats on making the cut. Fred is a great caddie/support partner. Looking for more good results from both of you.
Thank you so much!
You guys are great, wish you all the success in the world, and congratulations on your engagement! 🎉
Thank you Duncan!
I've never heard of this type of golf before. Looks like fun. Congratulations to you both. Your engagement ring is beautiful. Fred, you did very well!
Thank you so so much!
Fred is one lucky guy, congrats to you both 🙏🙏
Love the content! Keep them coming! And thank you for the hat :)
congrats to you both
Hats are fantastic! Well done.
I'd love a hat. Sand greens sound intersting. Not sure if this is a cheap way of opening a dead course or some other reason. Love your content. Congrats on the engagement.
Thank you!
I've watched you guys play in Europe and the states but this is by far the best cos I grew up in New South Wales playing sand greens, more people should give it a go
That is awesome! NSW is absolutely incredible. Hope to be back soon
Stort Grattis till er båda!
Tack snälla!
Congratulations to you both, and good luck on the tour Hannah
Spent your whole career putting on green, all of a sudden, you have to put on sand. The madness!! Congrats on the engagement!!! Oh, and I’m here cause you ate the vegemite and didn’t puke lol. Remember, spread a thin layer and add some butter to the toast.
Thank you David!
Really cool event and great played Hannah!! I would love a hat!😀
Congrats again on the engagement. I played a browns course out in Bahrain but the whole course is like the green. Definitely need some luck shooting into the greens. Keep up the great videos ❤
Congrats on your engagement. ❤
Thank you!!
I would dig a sand greens championship hat
I never knew this was a thing 😂
This was awesome. I would love to get a hat from it.
Played sand greens in El Dorado Mo when a young man.
A hat from there would be sweet, yes please!
That at Walcha
En sån smäck skulle man vilja ha förstås. 😊
Haha Hannah har försökt översätta SMÄCK hela morgonen 😂
@@FredrikandHannah avslöja inget ännu. 😬😊
They can't be called "greens", maybe browns?
What’s the point of this, really?
It’s a cultural thing in Australia! They’re showcasing something that is pretty prominent in rural areas all over Aus. We thought it was very unique and pretty cool!
@@FredrikandHannahafter watching the demonstration it makes even less sense to me, but like you said, certainly unique! Congrats on your engagement, by the way. You make such a great couple and team.
@@discr1709 Australia is the driest continent on earth, they can't grow grass greens in many places. It's sand greens or no golf.
@@FredrikandHannah i'm australian and it's just lazy and stupid.
