When I retired I moved to Chiang Mai. I have been around the loop 6 times with additional trips to Pai and MHS. I lived near the Tail of the Dragon in the US, but the MHS loop just goes on forever and the side trip opportunities are endless. I have ridden 26,000 KM in NW Thailand and have not scratched the surface. This is bucket list stuff!
Great video guys, brought back some very pleasant memories for me. I rode the loop twice (clockwise, then anti clockwise) about 16 years ago on a Honda 750 Four, and it looks as gorgeous as ever. In fact some of the road sections have been resurfaced and look way smoother. You've got me itching to go back after watching this.
Checked this out because of Kayyywild!!! Love all the stunning drone shots in the intro... Looks like you guys had a blast though. So much adventure between the two of you! Those speed ramps though! I keep on thinking about how long you guys had to stop and capture which was a huge task I'm sure! That waterfall is stunning! So nice to see you guys capture each other in the moment! LOVE IT! Too bad you guys couldn't get in the waterfall because it was too strong! Yes! You made it to Pai and it is so magical! Doesn't even seem real! I love that we can see both of your perspectives even though you guys travelled there together. Can't wait to see more adventures from the two of you.
I've been around the loop 6 times. There is so much to see and do I've barely scratched the surface. One thing you should know: the Mae Sa Elephant camp is just upstream from a series of waterfalls off Asian Hwy 1096. The elephants swim in the river and although they have some pooper scoopers try to keep poops from going downstream, elephants drink around 30 gallons of water a day so urine does go downstream.
Your films using the drone are very good indeed....even the road trip was interesting 😊 the canyon landscape was fantastic...I’ve never seen anything like that before and it felt an exciting watch the way you filmed it. 😎
When King RAMA 9 died, Thailand suddenly decided drones had to be registered and insured. I got to it and was the 158th registered out of 45,000 drones, after the funeral, I never heard about drone registration again. I let a monk fly my drone at the temple west of the cop shop in Mae Rim.
Nice video! We've been there too! Great to be here. Traveling is beautiful, especially to capture and share with others! We try to do that as much as possible! Lots of Travel fun!
Hey Lore, glad you like it! Check out part 2 :) Part 3 coming soon.. Yep I’m still in Bangkok 😅 Everything is fine, I can’t complain 🙏 Congrats on the baby, hope you’re doing good 🎉
Awesome video Josh. Beautiful cinematography and great storytelling, loved the edit. How did you do those drone shots with both of you driving?! I also visited Pai canyon and loved it but thought it was pretty dangerous too, good footwear a must. All the best for 2021 👍🏼
Hey bro, nice video, I have a question, did you get permission to fly your drone? Tomorrow I'm gonna go to Pai and those places, and I want to fly my drone. Cheers!

You're right, the Pai canyon is great for sundown photos or for falling 150 feet to your death.
What is the name of the restaurant with the stunning view at 00:53?
Oh my god, you're soooo underrated
can i use this droneshot 0:07 my Thailand vlog edit?
Hey bro, nice video, I have a question, did you get permission to fly your drone? Tomorrow I'm gonna go to Pai and those places, and I want to fly my drone. Cheers!
oh!! WOW! I fucking love the road hahhaha...I've been planning to do Chiang Mai Loop, hopefully I will have some companion to travel too :))
Please tell me how long the descents are, I want to ride a longboard
Hello? Did you survive the loop? Where are the other videos?
Best road I did in motorbike from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son. In some curves dont watch the landscape 😂
guys how are you doing
Hell bro...where are you now?
You are verygood..is make
Great video. But I see shorts, no riding gloves and overall not appropriate gear. Be safe, dress for the ride next time. Live by ATGATT
Yawn!!!!
Not much about the road, its like a MTV video. Never mind, most folks seems to like it.
God those ear plugs are ugly … 😵
Horrible background music. Nothing but noise.
