I remember reading a few articles a couple months ago that there is a big demand for a subway in Seattle. There's even a facebook page supporting the project as well. However, I don't know if it's a heavy rail or a light rail subway. The problem is the cost of the all of course. Either way, kudos to Seattle.

I'm absolutely NOT a fan of light rails in general but there is something about Seattle's light rail that is very intriguing.

They are going with the downtown portion of the "Central link" as downtown's subway... The city is leaning more towards the development of streetcars in the downtown area than a dedicated "subway", though. Once all the Link light rail projects finish years down the road, you could consider them as a subway system if you don't mind it spreading out from the city and being above and below ground level at times.

The rain is rarely anything more than a mist. It's usually overcast (makes you sleepy, thus we drink coffee) and once or twice a month will you actually get a downpour. Seattle has more available jobs than any city in the U.S., and this city is growing like no other city. A great place, except its transport. The city's trying to expand the rail, but it's taken over a century.

well i love technology! as i said before i love the rain it helps me relax!. i love the cool weather! i cant stand the heat (i live in hawaii right now so i want to get off as soon as possible!) and i was wondering if its possible for a basement? or is it not allowed (some places dont have the grounds for a basement). is the light rail going to be a main transportation or is it only a few areas that has a lot of traffic?
