      its that player blindness, its easy to see when your watching but when your in the heat of the moment trying not to get shot by bots its a little harder to see the bright red orbs burning in the sky.

    Note they didn't say it but do not use plasma punisher with bubble shield it will hit the shield.

      That's gotta be a bug. They need to patch that out ASAP. I'm a plasma punisher main and while I never use the shield I do pick it up sometimes from my teammates.

    About the Warbond comment on 1:20, they happen every 2nd thursday of each month. Regular updates like fixes and balance changes are usually on tuesday

    Nay 1:20 Warbonds come out every second Thursday of the month. Cutting Edge released on March 14th 2024 which was the second Thursday of March. Then Democratic Detonation released on April 11th 2024 which was the second Thursday of April. With this information it is pretty reasonable to say that May’s warbond will be released on May 9th 2024. Which is only 10 days away when writing this comment.

    It'd be cool if they re-added the ability to find secondary objectives with scanner pings for the Scout Armor perk. Helps fulfill that recon guy fantasy. Hell there could even be a "tacitcal intel" booster that lets you see all secondry obj's when you drop into the map.

    If you encounter the glitch at 39:52 again, tap the button you use to go into first person when aiming twice and it should bring you back. Its a really weird glitch thats been in the game since the start and it has something to do with getting submarined when you are in the process of ADSing.

      Although I should be angry about this. Videos like this always fill me with confidence, which is then shattered when I load up the game only to be crushed brutally at the end of the mission.

    I think the strategy for keeping the player base is nerfing weapons and buffing enemies until the player base resembles Helldivers 1.

      What weapons became useless due to this patch? Tell us. The Quasar is still the best anti tank option by a mile, the Eruptor is still an A-tier primary that does what no other weapon does. Any other nerfs that were even remotely impactful? No. Now lets look at the laundry list of buffs.

      ​@@brilobox2No one mentioned any guns being useless. It's not even all about the power level of the gun it's about the feel and ease of use. Both of which they keep making worse on guns that already don't feel great. If I wanted to play a tac shooter with unwieldy guns I would play CS.

      ​@@brilobox2the quasar is not the best, it's just the ,OST convenient. The EAT is the best one by far but SUPER annoying to call down every goddamn time.
      The jar5 was fine, the big nerf wasn't warranted. The sickle can't be used like before as it has half the magazines.
      The crossbow was barely useful and now it's even worse.
      The liberator and concussive liberator are still mediocre af (the concussive one is still complete trash. Worse than the lasgun. Worst primary gun in the game probably).
      The adjudicator is the same trash bag that it was before. But it's an AR now so that means it gonna be like that forever cuz ARs will be complete trash as the devs hate them.
      The eruptor was a meme and wasn't never good. Now it's just worse and with half the ammo (now you can shoot it for 25 minutes instead of the whole match, won't 30 rounds vs 60. I'm not mad at the ammo. I never even ran out before. It takes approx 30 minutes to shoot 20 rounds so it doesn't matter. It matters that you now HAVE TO shoot more as the fake explosion that pulls you towards enemies more than it killing them, is much worse and with a smaller radius... When it already barely did anything).
      The flamethrower and incendiary breaker now do the same damage as at launch, just a bit more. You need the upgrade to do anything with it. With the upgrade, you get now the base damage we had before the patch.
      The only good things about this patch are the blister rof (now it's useable.not even close to being good but it kills.. a little bit) and the defender fast reload. Not that it matters much when it does 175 with 6 bullets.
      Lasguns are still a joke, liberators are still bad (penetrator was untouched?! Wtf!? 45 damage, 30 bullets mag? That one should be 80 damage and adjudicator should be 110). The marksman rifles are still bad. Absolutely zero reasons to use them vs bugs (only gun you need is breaker spray and pray or incendiary, anything else is making things much harder for no reason. Like bringing the HMG or the new awful rocket launcher that doesn't do anything to chargers and titans). Vs automatons... Scorcher and the nerfed jar5 will do 10 times better. There was zero reasons to nerf the jar5. Its AWFUL to aim and has massive recoil and loving af reload, with only 15 bullets that are slow, with few mags. 300 felt just right, in between feeling like complete ass and really good, always a bet. You either get staggered and miss everything as it slooooowly goes to where you are aiming or it destroys in an instant what you want destroyed. Now it's closer to the 200 damage version which was useless.
      Eruptor should have gotten a buff and bigger explosion radius, more similar to grenades and 600 damage.
      Jar5 needs better handling. If they nerf the damage, it also needs faster reload.
      The plasma shotgun needs more damage. It's too fkn weak.420 like the crossbow would be better.
      Crossbow doesn't do anything but stagger. It needs a bigger explosion and damage buff, with 520 damage when you hit with arrow. (100 DMG arrow+420 explosion.
      Liberator penetrator needs a penetration and damage buff. 80 damage and it can go through 3 enemies and bodies. Liberator 70 damage.makes no sense how a small caliber smg does more damage than all the Cars. So much for gun guys working at arrowhead.
      Adjudicator should do like old marksman, 112 damage.
      Liberator concussive needs a 550 rof and 70 DMG with more stagger.
      Sickle should get faster rof since it's a laser gun, with a bit less bloom, so it's more precise.
      Lasgun should set enemies on fire and spool up with more damage and faster rof over time as it overheats. Same for the pistol and the las cannon. The closer it is to overheat, the better it is, so you should try to get it as close to 99% but without letting it go to 100% so it overheats and wastes a mag.
      HMG needs a way bigger magazine, 125-150. Also, I would Add an ammo backpack, which gives the gun one 500-600 bullets magazine.
      Maybe other machine guns could have the same. MAYBE it could be a separate stratagem that works with all the other guns stratagems. Wouldn't mind a flamethrower gas tank backpack as well.
      Or a direct feed autocannon backpack that gives it a single 50-60 ammo mag.
      Or a recoilless/spear autoloader that reloads them over time, like every 5-10 seconds so you don't have to stop, making them more like the quasar.
      I'd also love if the orbitals, including the orbital Cannon, would get an upgrade where they shoot twice or 2 shots at the same time. So they wouldn't be so goddamn bad. It's crazy how much better eagle strikes are. They get multiple uses and a super short 2 minutes cool down.

    Watching you get ragdolled for like 70 seconds straight is the most poetic explanation for why 99% of players wear the shield backpack all the time since it's the ONLY source of (conditional) stagger resistance in the entire game 😔

      The more they frustrate people the more they'll lose players. Get rid of headshot damage as well, getting one shot by rng is not a good mechanic

    They explained in the patch notes that solo play didn't scale linearly, now it does so 1 player = 1/4 patrols, 2=2/4, and so on. Apparently solo was 1/6 while duo and up went by fourths. So solo patrols increased by 50%

      That's what they say. The reality as far as I can tell as a solo player through the week when I have time, group play on weekends with the guys, the solo patrols are not even close to being just 50%. More like 150%. I'm not saying they weren't easy and could use some adjustment, but there's a fine line to bringing something in line and overkill. This nerf was an example of overkill.

      @@jeffhunt5964 It's a 50% increase, but would feel kind of like 150%. I think it's fine. The game is supposed to be a co-op experience. It shouldn't be possible to solo a helldive imo. Honestly I'm surprised they haven't made it even more difficult overall. The fact that most people have probably an 80-90% success rate on helldive with randoms (at least I do, maybe that's not the average) is high. When I saw the difficulties and helldive was above impossible I assumed it would be literally impossible to complete a helldive without having a set squad with comms. Their are 9 difficulties, but it doesn't feel that way. Everyone plays 7-9, which to me means they're too easy. It should be a bell curve with 5 because the peak player counts and then it decreasing from their. I think 7 is probably the most popular right now.

      @@SPACE_BOOOOOST Pinging with Scout perk still works-ish. It's always be semi sorta kinda broken. What he's referring to is that you used to be able to click a location (no matter what armor you were wearing) with a secondary objective that hadn't been discovered yet and it would be selected with a box around it plus show the icon for the secondary on your compass.
      Not sure what the intended behavior was but they definitely busted/fixed it now.

    With the jar 5 the green laser that you see is more accurate than the optic so use the laser for aiming

    The heavy Butcher armor with the 2 extra atoms and 2 extra seconds of invincibility is a great choice vs bots, even more so now, also 100% either bug or "feature" that you can't ping poi anymore unless within closer range now

    I really cant understand the logic behind increased patrols the less people you have. Less firepower but more enemies to deal with???

      it hasn't changed to spawn more if you're solo than it does if you are in a full squad, it's just that more will spawn on solo than they used to. It's still considerably less than a full team gets.

      Before it spawned 6x less patrols on solo compared to a full team of 4. Now it spawns 4x less patrols on solo. I guess this just makes sense.

      think you have it backwards. less players means fewer patrols, not more
      4/4 players has always been 100% patrol spawns
      1/4 players is now 25% patrol spawns. it used to be 1/6th or 16.67% of full spawns, but was altered with the update
      solo play now has +50% patrol spawns ( 16.666%*1.5=25%)

    im pretty sure the ping wasn't removed, but it just breaks randomly. when farming credits in sp i noticed if it didn't work, i could leave the mission and come back and it'd work.
    for me the first mission i launch in a session just doesn't let me ping, but the second does, and from there it always works

    On a side note I think landing on large enemies with the drop pod sound cause a stun or if landing near a group of enemies cause a stun / stagger / ragdoll? Maybe as a booster or possibly upgrade

    I've noticed too about the headshots from above and such. Also noticed that the hitbox of the fabricators is bugged when you try to throw or shoot from the sides.

      With fabricators, you aren't trying to hit the vent - you need to get the shot to ricochet into the fab off the vent, so your angles will be different depending on where you stand.

    The increase of patrols to "intended" levels for anyone not running a full stack is nuts, especially for solo players who got a 50% increase.
    The change completely disregards team synergy and assumes that 4 people are exactly 4 times as capable as a solo player, despite the fact that 4 players can cycle stratagems more effectively, cover each other for reloads/objectives and so on.

      Yeah I'm not sure why they did that, I started soloing games after a while because I find I'm more efficient than a full squad, I don't like playing with randoms

      Yeah, a full team will almost always have an eagle or orbital available. A solo might be waiting 2 more minutes for his to come back up while he's being swarmed.
      I don't think anybody was saying solo play was too easy before. Intended spawn rates or not.

    I think this update is probably better for medium armor. I still feel and think that heavy armor still, this has too many downsides.
    Like being slow is a huge downside, If they want people to use heavy armor they should just give it like stagger resistance. Like big man should not stagger

      Heavy armor gains points vs bots because you want to be taking cover rather than running around kiting. The extra weapon stability and explosion resistance are also useful there. It's my preference for most bot missions.

    Man I wish I knew about this game to preorder it... Love that armor. Also, this gameplay was stressful and I have mad respect for the fact you completed the objectives. I probably would have been dead in a pool of dismemberments.

    So I had a neat idea for a new couple stratagems, both fortifications, one just drops down like a 10-20 meter wide waist high wall to use for cover, and one that just drops bombs in a 10-20 meter line to blow a trench into the ground to use for cover

    The full resupply means i can maybe enjoy the recoiless rifle now. Arguably not the best still, but having 3 red strategems is handy, and Q cannon nerf makes them kind of on par with the resupply upgrade

    About bug, occured at 39:51
    You can overturned it. It is happening because of rugdolling, while you was in 1st person view. So after many instances I've found out, that changing weapons and attempting to aiming do the thing. Conclusion: bug happening=> change your weapon to another one, try to aim, return to 3d person. If this didn't help, try the same actions with another weapon, then return to the weapon with wich bug happened in the beginning.

    Me and this other guy were standing next to eachother both with a shield pack and we survived a direct hit from a tank turret emplacement. Im pretty sure that prior to the buffs it wouldnt have mattered and we would have both died

      It's actually so goofy. I understand trying to avoid "pay to win" in the game, but at the very least keep the strong weapons strong, and buff the weak ones from the premium war bonds. While I'm not in this crowd, some people are paying real money in order to get the premium war bonds! It's a little disingenuous to then make the stuff they paid for entirely obsolete. And there's not a good argument for pay to win even if the guns were a step above the rest. It would be more accurate to call it "play to win" in this case, since if you don't want to grind, chances are you'll eventually have 1k super credits on hand.

    I played yesterday against bugs using medium armour with extra padding and man, the headshot damage buff is SUPER noticeable when getting swarmed. Not getting the ol' hunter 2 shot for the whole mission was insane.

    The bug that happened to you at roughly 39:52 - it has happened to me only once before. I was stuck like that for AGES. The only thing that unstuck me eventually was just shooting my primary. I'd tried every combination of crouch and dive etc. Might have worked for you in this case!

    Apparently with hulks you can cripple each leg and it will kill them. I've not tested it though, saw a vid on it yesterday. I'm guessing you can still ping stuff if you have the scout armour.

      A thing you can do but chews up WAY more ammo than just two tapping the eye hole. With auto cannon, for example, it takes 5-6 shots per leg to break them. Way too much ammo to expend.

      Shoot ONE leg with the autocannon to cripple them so they can't move, then go for the eye two tap.
      Do this for the scorchers, those are fast enough to catch up to you.

    16:30 Muscle Enhancement nullifies a good chunk of the slow down from deep snow _and_ the blizzard status. Not completely, but by a very noticeable amount. It plus Stamina on snow planets = far _far_ less of a slog.

      Some medium armor has above 100 armor, like the basic medium armor you start with which has 150. The headshot damage reduction should apply to that.

    6:00 disagree, blindly pinging areas should NOT randomly reveal information about if it is a special or unique location, once you sight-ping it(Q) or get closer enough in proximity in overworld, THEN you can ping it so it has brackets around it. You're supposed to traverse the planet, not play battleship. Telling us how many hidden things there are to do, would be a nicety though.. especially all the ones that are something we placed on the planet in the first place.. like damn our maps suck yo, forgot we installed that gun battery just last week..

    You should try using the Mortar Sentry against the Automatons, rather than the Autocannon Sentry. You can hide a mortar behind a rock and it will flatten your enemies without taking fire. Just make sure you don't let enemies get too close to you

    The Sentry upgrade 50% resistance to explosive damage is worthless. They still get destroyed from any kind of explosive.
    I've also gotten cheesed that same way when getting hit by rockets, I think it's something that they need to fix.

    IMO, still needs flinching/stagger and knockback resistance, half of the times you die simply due to being ragdolled or chain staggered.
    Also hot planets make heavy armor unplayable, even with stamina booster.

    38:18 Pro tip: Never place sentries by you. They'll have a clear line of sight on both of you. Place it far away from where you'll be holding ground. That way, it'll flank enemies coming for you and distract enemies that are coming for it.
    I always use Mortar Sentry to place it behind cover so it distracts enemies and kills most of them in the process. Place it away from you or your squad and it'll never drop shells on you or your team.

      I find that a mortar never shoots next to itself, so standing near it is one way to avoid getting hit by it. However, enemies love to hunt down the turret, so placing it far away from you can also create a distraction for your enemies to deal with.

      @KillFrenzy96 yeah they actually target the furthest enemy from their position and have a range of 125 meters, further than any other sentry. If you place them underground, like next to a friendship bunker or by those underground crates, they'll never get destroyed because they're not in the line of sight. This way, they'll be racking up kills until the enemy marches all the way to their position, giving you ample amount of time to flank or complete an objective.

      It was a bug that allowed you to ping map objectives that weren't discovered yet. Scout merely let's you extend enemy unit detection via pings.

    If it was pingable in all armors (I normally run Scout so I don't know f it was) I'm positive it was unintended and has since been corrected.

    i find it hilarious that the superdestroyer can tell you you're in range of enemy artillery but can't satellite image all the POIs or just shoot the artillery with orbitals
    like if they can point out the artillery then they should be able to aim their own orbitals. but in that case then wtf are strategems for?
