Love this! One thing I realized, besides the fact that these generational curses need to stop with us....is that forgiving someone and choosing to have God right the wrong (not me) is that forgiveness does NOT mean I put myself in to a position of trust with them. I always thought it was "forgive and forget," but it is forgive and still make smart choices. I don't go out with them alone, I am not alone with them at all. If I need to have a relationship with them, I need to have someone there to help me get out without being hurt again. If I don't need to have a relationship with them, I can forgive and give it to God, but I don't need to put myself in physical or emotional danger again. God says He parents the orphans, that might mean, I become a distance (physically) orphan because that parent refuses to change, and let God parent me, until my parent is ready to be a good parent.

It’s all in God’s timing, that’s something else we have to trust and remember, always pray and ask the Lord how He wants you to move and go about having these conversations and don’t be hard on yourself 💕

I have tried having conversations with my mother who hurt me, she seemed like she couldn't be bothered. She wanted to go do something else and she mentioned she wont apologize for her wrong doing. What bothers me is that i feel obligated to build a relationship with hee because she is my mother
I’m praying for your strength during this journey-but continue to just lean on the Lord and press in, into His presence. Your pouring out and healing is the opening to God being able to pour in and redeem 💕
The only thing with the communication is I have tried multiple times before.. My dad is very stubborn and narcissistic, so no matter what I used to talk to him about when telling him how I feel, it would be like talking to a wall. Like of course I want a relationship with my dad, but it is so much more complicated unfortunately.
Thank you for sharing this! I touched on that more in the extended conversation of this video. There are sometimes, we won’t be able to have a conversation for me my biological dad is no longer here and then in your case He’s here but he won’t listen and this is where still choosing to heal anyways comes in at. For me, it was writing a letter and reading it out loud (I mentioned that in the video) and then constantly talking about it and being open with other people that are around me about how it has made me feel and has affected me. I want to definitely encourage you to pray for God to help you, if you really desire a relationship I want to even encourage you to find someone to navigate that conversation for you, therapist, someone you trust and that’s going to act as mediator. Even if He doesn’t listen or tries to make it something that it’s not, at least you were able to release it. I pray that God mends that relationship between you and your dad, I really do and don’t stop having faith and hope that you can have that daughter/father relationship. 🤍

New to your page...... as a baby Christian I love the content. I always struggle with where to start my healing journey and I'm a little intimated by the bible. I know it's the enemy trying to keep me away from the word. Side note: I love your hair. What products do you use? Lol
God is so good! In the beginning it's going to be hard, the way the Lord gave it to me was a new born baby, they have to get adjusted to being out the womb and in the world depending on their parents, the same with us in the spirit. So, you got this, it's going to be hard but continue to read the word, find new ways to study, pray and apply the word to your life, but let the Holy Spirit mold you. Nowwwwww, the hair products I use it: Auntie Jackie's Gel (for my coils) and Donna's Recipe by Tabitha Brown.
