- There's extreme, and then there's the Maserati MC12 by Edo Competition! With over 800hp, and a full conversion to Corsa spec, this thing is truly mental. It's one of the highlights from Barry Skolnick's Ikonick Collection, and this has been one of the best rides ever!
Joined by Barry Skolnick, owner of Ikonick The Collection, let's get the roof off and see what this is all about. Edo Competition have converted the road MC12, originally one of only 50 cars, into one that resembles more of the Corsa race cars. The 6.0l V12 has been enlarged to 6.3l and making 840hp, while the entire bodywork is upgraded to race spec. The exhaust however, is completely a straight pipe system and sounds beyond insane!

I'm honored to have been able to see this car as a kind before and after the Edo competition went mad with the vehicle. Fun fact, back in the day here in Canada we used to have this car, the ZR Edo Competition Enzo FXX and a Saleen S7 that used to race around the race track in Calgary years ago. Absolutely bonkers car collection here in Calgary and to see all three of those cars racing was quite an amazing experience. This thing was an absolute monster...

One of my favorite cars of all time!!! I always liked it over the ENZO. Where the ENZO looked weird to me, this looked like a Proper Supercar I thought. I have seen one of the white ones at a track event at Road Atlanta. The sounds it made had me looking for a clean pair of shorts😂😂😂

Your enthusiasm reminds me of my first time I went to the London Motor Show in 1989. I saw my dream car which was a black Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Sport and I saved for 15 years to buy one in the exact same specification.

I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else said anything about the MAF sensor looks like you beat me to it.

@@kevinmcgoff2235 Uhmmm... Technically the "leak" only removes the restriction of the airbox, so if anything with that gap the air can more freely flow into the engine - only it's of poorer quality as it is unfiltered.

Mc12, man its alway been one of my top 10 supercar, The sound, looks, the classy interiors, that v12 engine..just cant beat it

All of the slow, long drawn accelerations gave me goosebumps lol. There are only a couple of other cars that can sound so good from the inside (mostly because it's purely a racecar that's also a convertible 😂😣)

I have watched that older video so many fucking times and I can’t believe you got to play with it. Legit got nose tickley no lie back when I was younger. It’s just the manifestation of peak engineering and love for Motorsport. There are faster cars but there’s something about this one. Literally goosebumps on my face.

Absolutely phenomenal! Such an amazing car, but there is one thing that I am super confused about... Do the head lights work???? It looked like they just unclipped the clasps on both sides and just pulled the entire front shell with headlights off without having to disconnect anything else. Are the lights powered by a connection that is only made when the clasps are locked or something? I'm sure with this being a 1 of 50 that they got exemption for the fixed headlight laws governing all other vehicles, but I have no idea how or if they are powered! Maybe mettle pins between the shell and the body? Anyone have clues about that?
