💥 Apple Cake Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour (190 grams)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup sugar (150 grams)
1 cup (1-2) red apple, peeled and roughly chopped
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup vegetable oil (120 ml)
1/2 cup greek yogurt (120 ml), can be substituted with milk
a pinch of salt
*add 1-2 tbsp milk if the batter is thick*
💥 Apple Cake Recipe Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Line an 8 inch (20cm) cake pan with parchment paper and grease with oil or butter.
2. Peel, core and cut apples in small pieces.
3. In a mixing bowl, add flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. Mix to combine.
4. In a separate bowl, add eggs, vanilla extract, salt, oil and yogurt. Whisk to combine.
5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and gently mix with a wooden spoon until combined Add chopped apple and stir briefly to combine.
6. Bake cake for approximately 30-35 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 10 minutes, release from the pan and let it cool to room temperature.
7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream or coffee.

I am making this cake right now, and just put it in the oven ! I added 2 tsp's of Cinnamon and a pinch of ground nutmeg, a pinch of cloves, a pinch of all spice and a pinch of ground ginger, just because I love the Autumn baking spice scents and flavors !!! Bye the way,... the little dog peeking up at you while you pour the batter into the pan is so adorable !!! What a cutie pie !!!

Update ... when I took this cake out of the oven, we could hardly wait until it cooled down, but I did in fact give it an hour to cool down real well on my cake rack! This cake was so moist and so yummy, It is now going to be one of my top go to cakes when I know I will have company! IT is just perfect !!! It is moist, flavorful and it will leave your kitchen smelling like heaven! Thank you so much for such a wonderful recipe !!! I just love your cute little dog in the video !!!

Just tried this yesterday. I used milk as substitute for the yogurt and added 1.5tbsp of lemon juice for that tangy taste. The taste is great and the procedure is easy. My housemates loved it. Next time will try add walnuts for added texture. Thanks for the recipe!

I substituted with a single cup of vanilla flavored keto yougurt , and i added to the apples 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon to let it marinade while making the dry ingredients. OMG 😲 😱 it was super moist. Loved it 100 %!!!

Just made this. Quick and easy, fluffy and delicious.. made some custard but the family ate the cake on its own. Only mistake I made was just making one cake instead of 2 (they ate the lot in one sitting) ... Thank you x

Recipe is a champ. Delicious, didn't need powder sugar. I did add 2 tablespoons cinnamon to apples and macerated them.

Well, I made it! The magnet was, that it didn’t call for cinnamon.
I had no yoghurt, had to put some kefir instead and after comparing the video to my stuff I ended up adding a bit of cream to it. Oh yes, cut the sugar in half. I don’t know why all these recipes call for a ton of sugar, if anybody wants it very sweet they always can decorate with powdered sugar. Anyway, it turned out great, light and beautiful. I put some chopped walnuts on top and Next time I’ll add a bit more apples! Thank you!

I have some apples that I want to use before it gets spoiled so I will use this recipe. Instead of yogurt I will use milk and instead of chopped apples, I will shred or finely mince it.
