  • A quick look at how we can still photograph during Corona Virus Isolation and Lockdown, and isolation. Here - we have a quick look at some Macro Photography, Still life, 'High Key' and more traditional portraiture... as well as a landscape shot in the garden. Stay safe.
    A peaceful trip out to the end of the garden with not much narration whilst shooting - as that just seemed the right thing to do! = l
    Enjoy.
    Regards, Ewan

    Interesting to look back when all this craziness started. Now everyone is acting like it didn’t for the most part. Nice thing about landscape photography is you could still go to places for the most part. Your photos are stunning.

    Thankfully you had a government that acted early and decisively. Although I had a pretty straight forwards lockdown sitting in the back garden, photography, books, multiple cups of tea and the odd dram as I wasn't driving, eased the strain. When we could travel a little locally I even managed to shoot places without the dreaded tourists. I still lost two neighbours during the worst of it and another with long term serious effects he's still suffering with. Its not over and done with yet, two years on, but the vaccines seem to be limiting its effects somewhat.
    The one real positive I saw from lockdown was children out in the street playing rather than being driven to 'activities'. No school didn't seem to worry them one iota.

      OOO, sorry you had people so close, affected by COVID. I watched families have dinner together, playing with the kids in quiet roads, , climbing trees because they couldnt go far. Like the good old days! E

    I thought I'd seen the entire Ewan Dunsmuir back catalogue, but I missed this one. Takes me back to lockdown in the UK when I had to take extreme precautions because my wife was considered to be extremely clinically vulnerable during her chemotherapy. My house and garden became my world for 2 years, working from home, online shopping and that was effectively it for me. The only journeys out the house was to drive my wife to Manchester from our home in Lincolnshire UK, a round trip of 300 miles for surgery and had to drive straight home again and to drive her to our local hospital for chemotherapy. I honed my processing skills during those 2 years. This proved to be a significant boost to my photography. I enjoyed this video, although it reminded me of the most challenging time in my life so far. I can't help wondering if you'll choose to make more content at some time in the future. I enjoy your videos almost as much as I do viewing your images. Best wishes Ewan and season's greetings.

      Hey Tony. Many thanks mate and yes, I actually rewatched this recently and it took me STRAIGHT back there, although not with the same issues you had to contend with. Unsettling times indeed! I will be making more content in the new year. Not quite sure where the time goes and other pressing priorities currently, but will certainly get myself together in 2023. Off to the USA and the snow near the canadian border soon... and probably wont take any camera gear!?...
      Thanks for your continued following Tony and Ill be back with mores soon. Take care and enjoy your christmas!

    The words that came to my mind Ewan were, "top that if you can Mr Booth"! Brilliantly put together film that had a bit of everything..reality, drama and beauty! I too am lucky to have landscape behind my house, although I am more likely to get a photograph of the farmer muck spreading than exotic boats and feeding coots. The portraits were enough to get even me interested in them and as for that last pano...flippin eck. Id be appy wi that!

    • @EwanDunsmuirImages
      @EwanDunsmuirImages  4 года назад

      LOL - Thanks Simon. Portraits used to be my speciality many moons ago, but they are always hit and miss! Im glad you'd be "'Appy wi' that"! Simon. LOL Glad you enjoyed it! Your turn!
      Regards, Ewan
      PS - Is 'Coots' what they are. I wouldnt have had a clue!
