Lovely peaceful video Ewan. Not an easy location for sure but you made it work. I liked the way the dunes folded into the distance while at the same time echoing the folding of the waves. A nice tidy flawless composition.

Thanks Simon. Yeah sure was a lovely place... just not a photo destination. Never wore a watch the entire stay, as truly... time doesnt matter there.

    Hello Ewan,
it's nice to see you again so soon.
And once again a simple piece of wisdom: keep it simple!
How often do I search hard for new motifs - when in fact they are almost always right under our noses...
Thank you for this relaxing film and two wonderful photos!
...until next time...cheerio from the other side of the world!

@@tonyhayes9827 many thanks indeed. That's a lovely thing to see. I try my hardest with everything that I do. The production side of these videos though, it's quite high intensity and take some time for each one. It's an interesting process shooting these, as it affirms inside your own headhow you approach a scene. Quite good for photo photographic growth. Kind regards Ewen and thanks for watching

Beautiful shots and I agree, keeping it simple and not comparing with where you usually take the shots helps find new compositions. Just love these beach shots and the blurry shot of the marshes 👍👍👍👍

Hey Marc, hope you are well.
It is hard coming from such a majestic place to photograph, as New Zealand… As I do often struggle sometimes when I am not in that environment.
The shot of the Morus is backlit as well as sidelit, which accentuates the Orton effect that I put on it. I wanted it a little bit dreamy. Hope I haven't pushed it too far though.
Kind regards from New Zealand. Ewan😊

Hey Owen. Thanks man. Yep, completely agree and because I print large prints for homes and offices, they have to be soothing to the eye, and hence gentle colour spaces and content. I start with my output and work back the way , which governs how and when I shoot. Maybe back to front... I don't know. lol. Thanks again. Ewan

Hi Ewan: This was a wonderful, peaceful video. I live in central Canada so getting seascapes for me if not possible. Sometimes on the great lakes we get some opportunities. I really appreciate how you explained looking at the clouds to anticipate what the final image could look like. Keep well . . . Keith (Barrie, Ontario)

Thanks very much Keith. Id love to do Canada at some point on one of my travels. Such a huge country. Though lake views are lovely... the lakes there are usually also massive which can look more like Oceans. Ill maybe do Yosemite and pop up to Canada in 2025. Thatd be awesome! Id need tips on where to go, or more importantly where NOT to go. LOL
Taking cues form your surroundings are important, which is why im always looking 360 around me, making sure i miss nothing. Best wishes Keith. Ewan

@@EwanDunsmuirImages Hi Ewan: I have been fortunate to have been able to travel extensively within Canada from a photographic perspective. All of Canada is very beautiful but my personal 'must-see' locations would west coast of Canada. Specifically, the east side of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta which would include Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. The areas are all part of our National Parks system. The best time to view these locations is late spring (May/June) followed by the fall (mid-September to early October). This area is simply too busy in the summer months. The next location would be the west side of the Rocky mountains in British Columbia. The best area on the true west coast is Vancouver Island (not the City of Vancouver) and the archipelago of the accompanying islands . Everywhere on Vancouver Island is a paradise of ancient large-growth trees similar to the West Coast of the US. It is a very peaceful are inspires amazing opportunities for creativity. To see more about both of these areas, you might to watch videos from RUclipsrs Adam Gibbs and Gavin Hardcastle ( their older videos are the best). The East Coast of Canada is also amazing. Unfortunately, I haven't been to Newfoundland yet and this island would remind you of Scotland. If you need any more ideas please let me know. Cheers, Keith

Mind you I'm no impressed with picking up the camera when half an inch O water is coming at you, if you don't get your feet wet on a beach you're not trying hard enough 😉

LOL, fair point on the 'waater' but the tripod has screw out adjustable spiked feet and i have only just got them free after months, having rusted up... form salt water. (I was actually done anyway). I just ran a work shop North of Auckland and we were for ever dodging the waves, back and forth. ONfe the feet are wet... they are wet! Hiope you are well Andrew. Thinking of coming over next year to run a two day workshop in bonnie Scotland, by which time, I might have a new camera... maybe. Aw ra best! Ewan
