- Straight out the box to your screen, watch Nate take the new DGT 15 amp from PRS for a test drive. Here’s what PRS has to say about this new amplifier:
Designed from the ground up to rival David Grissom’s favorite vintage amps, the PRS DGT 15 is rich with character and feels alive under your fingers. From sparkling cleans to heavy overdrive, this 15-watt single-channel amplifier intuitively offers tones beyond the typical limitations single-chan- nel amps can have. It is a versatile amp with all the magic of smaller-wattage vintage tubes amps but is fully applicable in a modern setting. The DGT 15 is designed with several highly functional tone-sculpting features to maintain balance and articulation through its many unique settings. Starting with
a 3-band TMB (treble, middle, bass) tone stack, the DGT 15 also includes a 3-position bright switch, boost, reverb, top cut, and presence front-panel controls. But it is not just the controls, but the combination of the controls and control parameters that bring out this amp’s extreme functional versatility. For example, the bright switch can be set to on, off, or on except when the boost is engaged - so you can intricately manipulate the amp’s high-end. The Master Volume can be set to be on, off, or on only with the Boost. The tremolo circuit oscillates the power tube bias (old-school) and features speed and depth front panel controls to dial in to your exact preference. The included 3-button footswitch allows you to control boost, reverb, and tremolo at the tip of your toes. All of these features mean you can find your sound and shape your tone with the PRS DGT 15 amplifier.

Thank you for an excellent demonstration of the abilities of the DGT amp. Well done Sir.
Thank you! 🙏 I appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave a comment. 👍
Your review of the Bad Cat - Hot Cat convinced me to purchase it. Your passion and talent definitely brings out the best of everything you demo...This one's no different. I traditionally like more gain, but this amp is beautiful at what it does. Great job and terrific enthusiasm!
Wow, thank you so much! That is such an encouraging thing to hear and I appreciate you sharing. God bless! 🙏
Great demo and playing as usual
Thank you! 🙏 I appreciate your encouragement!!!
I really like this amp. I think it will be a great purchase for my Grandsons first proper amp.
Excellent choice!!!
Nice demo of the amp and some super tasty licks.
Thanks for making the video!
Thank you so much! 🙏
@@naterevolution I’m very interested a chart of your opening riffs. You were doing some super interesting chord forms with open string drones and descending lines.
You’ve got a super touch and chord tones/melodic sensibilities which are similar to my style.
If I live closer to Springfield MO, I’d come take some lessons.
@@jerryhorton5708 I’ve been thinking about doing a small group format for some jam lab/lessons… if you would be interested, I’ll keep you posted! 👍
Great review. This amp sounds much older/vintage than its modern looks would imply. Love it. I can help by wonder what it would sound like through the Grissom 212 can instead.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m sure this amp would sound fantastic through a 212. 👍👍
Great playing and demo! I particularly enjoyed hearing the NF53 through the amp!
Thank you so much!!! 🙏
Fantastic review!!!
You said it best Tony!
Thanks, Tony!!! I appreciate you!
Killer demo Nate
Thank you, brother 💙🙏
Awesome work man! That thing sounds mean!
Thank you!! 🙏
Voluptuous chunkerific? Anyway, great demo. I just bought one of these amps. I’m still messing with it, so jury is still out. It’s certainly one of the warmest amps I’ve ever played through. I agree with you one hundred percent, though, regarding its character. Its voicing is tailored to a very specific set of parameters. For my ears, it’s not an overly versatile piece of gear, but it excels in what it was designed for.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I appreciate you. 😄👍
After nearly a month of owning the DGT 15, I have to say that I’ve never spent so much time fighting with an amp. Though I think it has a ton of potential, I’ve found it to be designed in a matter that’s generally counterintuitive, at least in terms of the way my tone chaser’s brain is wired. In reality, I might be trying to get blood from a stone. Because it reeks of quality, I find the thought of parting with it hard, but I’m creeping towards sending it back.
I am actually seriously considering an option to buy it!
Give us a call and we would be glad to help!
You’re using an overdrive pedal aren’t you! I have a Les Paul standard volume all the way up and master volume low and mines not feeding back.
Great question! No overdrive pedals were used whatsoever. Try turning on the boost and cranking the volume and turning the master volume down. If that doesn’t help, give us a call we can walk you through it! 👍 Thank you! 🙏
It’s ok…a little too thin sounding on the demo…got to try at a shop before making any purchase.
It's not thin in personal with bass turned up obviously but it always sounded scooped when I played. I don't like that exaggerated scooped supposedly tweed sound
You must be using a foot pedal, mine won’t break up.
Great question! I’m actually not using any pedals, try turning the volume all the way up and the master all the way down. Now, slowly turn up the master volume. You should hear some nice break up. Don’t hesitate to give us a call if you run into any trouble. (Ask for Nate or Nash) We are here to help!
PRS…..meh….
To each his/her own. All of my electrics are PRS and this is first PRS amp I’m going to own (tried their other amps which are great, but not quite my taste).
But I also get where you are coming from - not everyone loves the same thing. That’s what makes the old globe spin
