David is not a shredder or speed king, but he has a style and tone that I literally could listen to for hours. Although I'm a 2 channel amp with effects loop guitarist, I have a huge appreciation for his range and shades using a single channel amp and the guitar's controls! This is not an amp for me, but it sounds amazing, especially when David is playing through it (or them, as was the case live here!).
It was a great honour to meet David when I picked up my DGT Core and to have him both play it and sign the electronics cover. Looking forward to trying this amp when it becomes available here in Canada
Thanks Dave, for realizing anytime you can make musical gear more available to the public yet still exceed customer expectations is indeed always a Good Thing! And people say Music and Rock and Roll has been forgotten. Not with the likes of PRS and Dave in this world!
I just got my first PRS two months ago. It’s a 2013 DGT and I’m amazed on how well this particular guitar looks and sounds. Can’t wait to get this amp.
Thank you for adding reverb! So many amplifiers don't have it. If they don't, then I simply don't purchase it. I've never understood why manufacturers leave it off. I will not implement a pedal for that purpose. The tremelo is somehting I normally wouldn't use but it can only spawn new ideas and techniques...if it means sounding more like David, then I'm ok with that. Man, what a slick player!
Not every amp is a reverb amp. Plus there's enough aftermarket stuff now that it really shouldn't matter. If the amp you want doesn't have it, someone likely makes a version of the same amp WITH it.
Most of my favorite amps do not have reverb. I have a Fender 6G15 outboard that works with any amp. I feel about tremolo the same way you do about reverb...if an amp doesn't have tremolo, that amp had better be GOOD
Properly implemented tube driven reverb does add significant parts, complexity and cost: At least one tube plus the reverb pan plus associated circuitry. I can see why a lot of designs leave it out.
Hey DG! Loved the Phil Keaggy, Glass Harp volume swells on you’re PRS…experienced him first in 1969-70 vert near my home town, across the boarder here in Pennsylvania! As always, tasty playing. Cheers!
I have loved each of my PRS Core guitars for many years. Superb craftsmanship and design. I wish I had the same experience with PRS amps. The Custom 50 had problems and support from the company was awful. Simply put, I would buy a PRS guitar with confidence, but I will never consider another PRS amp.
Got mine this week and I’m looking forward to gigging with it on Friday! It sounds amazing. My only complaint is the l.e.d.s on the foot switch are blindingly bright. And black tape will be going over the blinking trem light on the head. lol. Love the amp though.
Damn you guys at PRS! I have the DGT SE Goldtop and now I have to get the PRS amp too? I'm saving up for it as we speak. 🙂 Watched the video to the end. Do I have to buy two amps like DG has? Yikes! LOL
I'm curious if there's any commentary as regards why there is no FX loop in this amp? I understand the amp has built in tremolo and reverb. May be a stupid question but was just curious.
7:08 WOW! I'm not wowed by many PRS's. Especially not after Pauls comment recently about guys in their underwear in their basement. But this sounds great.
🤦 You don't know amps if you're wondering if it can do those 2 things that are at opposite ends of the spectrum. An amp that sounds like that will NEVER have Fender cleans. 🤦 That's like asking if a Bassman can also sound like a Deluxe Reverb 🤣 🤦🤦🤦
I love everything about this amp and I know my DGT would sound spectacular with it. But…. I have never owned a 15 watt amp that could stand up to a loud drummer. There’s not enough headroom for me with 15 watts in a live situation. I already own too many amps as it is so I couldn’t buy it to record with. I do hope the price point is attractive enough so many players can step up to a nice amp, though.
I will definitely check it out at some point. Unless I am mistaken, it appears that DG is using two of the rigs with the band. I’ve had to do the same when playing 15 watt amps.
I like the sounds of PRS amps but since they are built in Indonesia the price for me is too expensive to justify. I’ll have to stick with Line 6 still since I can’t afford any American made amps either.
SHUT UP !!!!!! this is too friggin' cool. The only problem? I'm too old to be spending so much money on equipment when I have everything I need for the P&W scene!! Congrats on what will surely be an excellent product, PRS ... and a super-big CONGRATS to Mr Grissom!!
What is so special about the PRS DGT? they put the bright switch on a footswitch, make the harmonic tremolo with faster speed, did they VOICE the preamps to his his specs or what? The PRS bias vary tremolo is the same as harmonic tremolo or something different?
Gonna be honest here....I see no reason for the high cut control to even exist. And this amp seems to be lacking in the complex detailed sparkle and harmonics that I hear out of ALL my favorite amps including my vintage Marshall Superleads, even with their volumes turned way down. I'm just not impressed. It's a decent amp, but it's missing the magic that makes me want it. My opinion. Other people will have their own.
@Turboy65 We respect your opinion, but we'd like to encourage you to get out and play one in person. Take your guitar with you, spend some time getting to know the amp, and dial in the top end the way you like. The controls are there for you to sculpt your tone. We're willing to bet that will change your mind. & If it doesn't, that's fine, but give it a playthrough and let us know what you think afterward. Cheers!

I’m so incredibly impressed the work DG and PRS do together. I love my DGT and look forward to trying this amp
I am loving my HDRX 20, and now this stunning amp is here. Well, one more amp won’t kill me!😁👏🏻💙
The little switches are a great idea.
I’m considering this amp for my 14 year old Grandson’s first tube amp. It sounds amazing to my ears.
Lucky kid! anything endorsed by Grissom is gonna be pro quality stuff!
That sounds fantastic, even on phone speakers!
The quality of his tones no matter lesser expensive or top dollar gear is impeccable - fat & juicy yet clear and articulate.
Thanks Dave, for realizing anytime you can make musical gear more available to the public yet still exceed customer expectations is indeed always a Good Thing! And people say Music and Rock and Roll has been forgotten. Not with the likes of PRS and Dave in this world!
I’ve never been a huge fan of Paul’s amps, but this thing sounds fantastic!
I just got my first PRS two months ago. It’s a 2013 DGT and I’m amazed on how well this particular guitar looks and sounds. Can’t wait to get this amp.
Oooh, I'm in that Saxon Pub video! Blurry, but in there. 😀 Nice amp!
I like it! I think this one may be in my future.
Thanks for the presentation. Love my DGT core guitar.
Wow! That is an awesome amp. Going on my list. 😊
Doug Sewell makes great amps , love my DG30 and Blue Sierra 50 , looks like another one to add , perfect for the small gigs
He’s a genuinely nice guy and really knows his stuff too. PRS is fortunate to have him on board.
Very impressive, playing, sound, everything. That DGT sound get's into you for sure !
So awesomeee!
Incredible tone! Very articulate!
Beautiful tones
Dam you PRS! You guys are killing me with these new amps.
Damn. I'm sold.
Wooohoo! Some Allman Brothers gear I can afford!
Yes, David is an Allman Brother. Once a Brother, ALWAYS a Brother! ❤️🙏🍄
I’m sold ….
I want this. Love it.

I agree, seems so simple and not much cost to add something a lot of people will use.

@@Scott__C Right on Scott! Cheers!

Two superheroes making stuff❤
All those finger prints on that vinyl!! 😮😮😮😮😮
I’ve been playing VOX AC 15’s for a bunch of years, I think I’m gonna have to make some room in my studio for this as well.
Gettin this…..the DGT is my no 1 Guitar….
Hey DG! Loved the Phil Keaggy, Glass Harp volume swells on you’re PRS…experienced him first in 1969-70 vert near my home town, across the boarder here in Pennsylvania! As always, tasty playing. Cheers!
Saw Keaggy play with a band called The 77's in Lancaster back in the late 1990s. Great show!
YES !!!! Ive been asking for one of these !!!!!!!
I have loved each of my PRS Core guitars for many years. Superb craftsmanship and design. I wish I had the same experience with PRS amps. The Custom 50 had problems and support from the company was awful.

¡Maravilloso!
PRS man, really good shit. Such a perfectionist. All that talk about the small amp, and he brought 2? Do you need a backup for a brand new amp? Ha!
That's how the pros do it... two of everything, with flight cases to match.
Does it come in a combo, that would be great.
David Grissom= Anthony Bourdain Guitarist
Love this cat's style.
Me(ow) too.
Good price too !
Tremendous
Holy smokes! One of my dream amps in 15 W configuration. I feel GAS coming on
Traded the '59 Esquire!? Damn!
Love you Paul I grew up in corpus christi texas
I lived there in the early to mid 80s as a kid. Then moved next door to NW LA.
This is the guy from the 90s-era PRS Guitar World ads.
I'm curious if there's any commentary as regards why there is no FX loop in this amp? I understand the amp has built in tremolo and reverb. May be a stupid question but was just curious.
Cuz they suck tone...
It'd be awesome if PRS did a live show of artists using all the low cost/SE stuff. Anyone who thinks that stuff isn't pro level hasn't tried them.
7:08 WOW! I'm not wowed by many PRS's. Especially not after Pauls comment recently about guys in their underwear in their basement. But this sounds great.
Sounds like you're telling on yourself.
@@HALWASRIGHT did you say something? I thought I saw a comment from you but it's not there anymore.
Sounds grear for roadhouse blues but can it compete with a Princeton or Deluxe Reverb for clean tones? That's what is most important to me.
🤦 You don't know amps if you're wondering if it can do those 2 things that are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
An amp that sounds like that will NEVER have Fender cleans. 🤦
That's like asking if a Bassman can also sound like a Deluxe Reverb 🤣 🤦🤦🤦
It's ckearlt the tone tolex that makes the amp sound great.
If I could only convince Grissom to authorize a Dark Cherryburst finish for the SE version of his signature guitar. It's PRS's most attractive finish.
Well, you survived John Mellencamp, so you must be pretty good!
Killer
Is the cabinet made out of tonewood, Paul … ?
Asking the important questions 😂
But it's covered with tone-dampening Tolex, unlike the violin - pity! LOL!
Not buying one until I can get it in non-veneer flamed maple tonewood
What's the song. Anyone knows?

The DGT 15 says, "Challenge accepted." You might want to visit your local PRS dealer and try one out. It just might surprise you!
I will definitely check it out at some point. Unless I am mistaken, it appears that DG is using two of the rigs with the band. I’ve had to do the same when playing 15 watt amps.
Especially if you have any outdoor gigs... need a pair of 6L6 or EL34s.
I like the sounds of PRS amps but since they are built in Indonesia the price for me is too expensive to justify. I’ll have to stick with Line 6 still since I can’t afford any American made amps either.
I am always struck by how much he seems to want a different neck pickup while specifying that one.
I got a univibe clone that i made , i cant use it becuase it makes me sea sick. Lol

Out of my cold dead hands will my DGT, no, its being buried or burned or whatever with me and I"ll play it in the afterlife too.
What's the price on this, maybe it's gonna be so expensive
Head’s at $1199
1200 for the head on sweetwater
Would you describe this as a mid-forward amp? Because the tones he dials are very mid driven.
Paul Reed Smith Guitars. Best guitars in this world, and the next!
1200$ for the amp, what is It with PRS, i mean i don't wanna compare the Mark tremonti 15 watts amp that came, which was 600$, but come on.
What is so special about the PRS DGT? they put the bright switch on a footswitch, make the harmonic tremolo with faster speed, did they VOICE the preamps to his his specs or what? The PRS bias vary tremolo is the same as harmonic tremolo or something different?
It's not harmonic trem; takes too many tubes to implement.
I see Grissom, ... I hear Satriani
My guess is that the hardest period of David's musical career was playing with the Dixie Chicks. Just say'n...
P.S. Cool amp...
Yeah I’m sure it was terrible winning Grammys and making tons of money …
So affordable there's not even a price out there probably going to have to sell a lung to ge one
$1200 for the head on sweetwater
0:23 "Oasis," "cesspool," tomato, tomato...
??? WTF ???
It has a sound. Great. But its not a sound that appeals to me. It's way too specific. Make your own sound.
