There's so many mind games with the 2T1L using the mons' typings, not to mention the insane concept of getting any ability that matches the type of each mon. Just watching the first few minutes tells you how jam-packed each round is; yet it's so cool to follow their line of reasoning each time, as they build their teams as well as building the hype for the battle that follows. These concepts continue to build in complexity between choosing the mons and their abilities which leads to very interesting thought processes in team building and the battle

I can't speak for everyone, but I love it when things line up in 2T1L where you can say "Normal, Normal, Normal." It's random chance that it's even possible to say that, so why not take the randomness even further? The reactions are also priceless. If some people think it's too much, you could expand on it by offering a hint.
As for the rest of the video, I love the new concept where you narrow the abilities to a specific but broad pool of options, making it a matter of how much both of you know Pokémon. I hope to see a lot more like this. Well done and good battle; it's always the best when it comes down to the last moment, and I loved Dylan's reactions to your Abilities. *Snickers.* Pity that this format can't let you give Well-Baked Body to Venomoth again, though; closest substitute for it would be Ribombee.

OOOOOOO!!! i love the idea with the abilities this episode!!! instead of just picking the strongest abilities outright,, which winds up with pretty much the same abilities being chosen every video,, it adds a slight twist while still being able to pick strong abilities :))) love it :D

Really love this concept! Hope to see ability concept more in the future. It really adds nice touch with the reactions of trying to guess the Pokemon with the ability. 12:18 and 13:40
The new idea they doing with the ability, that you can choose it when it fits a criteria, is really good. It's not making it too RNG and requires some strategy without giving them the usual suspects like guts or one of the ruin ones.
Dragalge gets adaptability so all dragons can get it. Wild

From the title I thought they were only going to give the first letter of the types, which seemed weird haha
But actually thinking about it, that could be a funny version. Only 7 types have a distinct starting letter, so between dual-types and lying it would be a lot of mind games.
IMO the Normal-Normal-Normal or Water-Water-Water strats are hilarious.

Really nice concept and fight! One other idea could be that you can give the Pokémon any ability one of the current three starter set has.

The stealth sass of hiding Mewtwo by lying about the Psychic typing being Dark when Shady hid a Mew *the same way* a few rounds earlier was gold
I love these ability choice restrictions. So much creativity
If Shady had gotten that Bounsweet in the last round, I think I would've cried for Shady. I mean, I would've laughed *hard* at his reaction, but I would've also felt really bad at how bad he threaded the needle.

Of the guys doing these types of videos, Shady I think is the best at battles. His brain just works for it. Blows my mind he never won a league back in the day.

I think a cool idea would be to take one of the harder knowledge challenges, like legend themes or dex description, and make it a guessing game where if you guess 0/3 starters, your opponent picks your mon, 1/3 you get to pick left, right or middle, 2/3 mons and you get to see all 3 to pick and 3/3 you get to pick the mon and it's ability. I find the knowledge based challenges the most fun :p
You should do this format, but instead of having to lie about one pokemon the person can pick whether or not they want to lie about any of them, to make trying to read the other person even harder

Idea if you want: Same concept with the typings but instead of the lie your opponent shows you one of your three starters

Two things:
1) Anyone else notice that they each got the Lycanroc and Ceruledge lines in the same round.
2) Shady did the 3 water type thing for that one round, but didn’t realize he could’ve also done it for baxcalibur, drizzile, and samurott.
He knew but he was against doing it att first then he became petty

Shady i love these videos they are a different spin and its sorta adds a puzzle aspect to these videos. You get the pokemon and have to figure out what type and ability can be matched with that type and if it helps or hurts that specific pokemon.

Another GREAT ability twist
Honestly a small change up to this system would be to have the lie KEEP the typing. Ground type Pichu for example
Giving the identical piece of information for all of the pokemon is fun for the audience (me at least) because it's maximum chaos. But it's less good for you because you have no control over what the mon is, the person choosing just goes for a random one usually and in a way that means that you have taken all control out of your hands, so if someone is watching for good play rather than sillyness they might not like it.
It's almost like there's a reason Eternatus is part of the Anything Goes Tier on Smogon haha
I'm more than fine with the triple typing designs because the point of the lie is to disorient and confuse each other so 3 of the same type does just that.

Good Format Sirs, got a recommendation, similar "ability" format, but you can't see the starters, Instead you get to ask 2-3 questions, and they have to tell the truth. Make your decision based on those hints!
