    Exactly what I’ve been learning the hard way. Throwing it too hard isn’t always good. Sometimes just backing off the speed helps the ball get through pocket better. No ringing tens.

    Excellent comments Phil...we coach the high school bowlers to watch the pins, as they tell you whether or not you threw a good shot.

    Yeah I used to bowl with a lot of guys that threw it fast with a lot of hand. Tried to tell them to slow it down but some folks are beyond talking to so they continued to throw rails and ringing ten pins.

      Instead of telling them to force themselves slower u should have told them to use a sanding pad. Change the equipment is easier than forcing someone to bowl a way that’s unnatural to them. A pro doesn’t slow down their A game the adjust their ball.

      @@jefferyboring4410 Tell them to use something they don’t have? You don’t understand these were talented athletes that had NO knowledge of the game to that level. I told them EXACTLY what they needed to do based on the level they could comprehend. They don’t know Jack crap about pads and layouts and things of that nature. Use some context and ask questions before assuming things. And we are talking league bowling here not the regional or pro circuit where those things are obvious.

    • @Swamprowdy

      It's called Lane shine, usually caused by oil on the ball. It would help to delay lane shine by wiping your ball on each shot. But for some people, that too hard to do. Others want lane shine to tame down the ball reaction.@@TraumaER2:06

    Assuming this really only applies to reactive resin since, to my knowledge, urethane enters the roll phase earlier?

    • @jefferyboring4410
      @jefferyboring4410 8 месяцев назад +2

      Depends how u have the surface. Urethane is supposed to be really rough so the ball makes a continuous arch the whole way down but now the urethane lines are blurry with odd formulations. But I’ll say I do not see men using sanding enough I’ve never seen another bowler sanding a ball before league. It’s absolutely instrumental For me to roll correctly otherwise I’ll never get close to a roll phase. I’ll throw it right to the break point. Everyone has a natural game and speed and we need equipment tailored for our personal game. I don’t want to force myself to slow down as I start throwing it every where

  • @nordattack
    @nordattack 8 месяцев назад +2

    I disagree with one point he made. The 6 pin going to the side wall and slapping out the 10 is a "poor" strike shot.
    On a perfect strike shot the 6 pin pushes the 10 pin off the deck. That is called a "Perfect Packed Strike."
    If the 6 pin is still hitting the 10 pin off the side wall then your ball is still deflecting off the headpin and not going though the pins properly.

    • @jefferyboring4410
      @jefferyboring4410 8 месяцев назад

      Ya I’ve noticed in the past he seems accepting of the 10 pin off the wall. I’m in the push em all straight back camo also if your catching pins on the wall it’s not pocketing correct

    I hear ya but you watch the pros and they’re throwing it 20 mph while the fastest guy in my league hits 15 mph. Are they measuring the pros speed differently?

    • @critterdude311
      @critterdude311 8 месяцев назад +3

      Typically on TV they are measuring the speed off the hand. The MPH readers at most centers read the speed through the pin deck, so they are very different readings.

    • @ripvanrevs
      @ripvanrevs 8 месяцев назад

      It's a 2-3 mph difference.

    • @jefferyboring4410

      Their using surface hes eluding to surface not how u throw it. The ball needs to slow down as it goes down the lane. How do u make a ball slow down as it goes down a lane to go through the fazes? Oil pattern and surface. Ya they measure speed differently but the pros use surface and swap balls amateurs use 1 ball and throw it slower
