This turned out great! I was never really a fan of ghost because it was so small that the cable mess really stood out. You’ve made this into a real beauty. High quality on the production of your video too (all of them). Keep it up!
Man, people who sleeve their cables are crazy. I've seen builds where they sleeve the CMOS battery cable!! I'd love to get into it, but it's just more money I don't have lol
Some say people are "suffering from OCD", but I think we are enjoying yours! Excellent, inspiring work. Thank you very much, may be one day will try to do the same...
At this point I don't even care that this cables modification will not improve my computer's performance. It's all about that deep satisfaction knowing that your cables inside this beautiful Ghost S1 build are perfectly measured and there are no wires tangled around the inside the case of this size. Great job man!
I really enjoy your videos, you have a better grasp of components than many other PC RUclipsrs - and you actually take care and pride in what you do. Good work mate
@@optimumtech No worries. Also, I have an OpenBenchTable test bench in perfect condition that I am looking to get rid of by the way - happy to flick it to you for nothing if you were interested. Assuming you are in Australia that is!
the most satisfying thing about DIY assembly pc computer is the cable management... sometimes i spent alot of time just managing cable, rather than the built itself. btw.. your work is superb
Tip: I was using a small butane torch to bind the pet sleeving, but I have found a regular lighter and clear heatshrink is the way to go. You can actually see the sleeving melting as you turn the sleeve to get it melted all the way around. Makes it so much easier and enjoyable I found.
About to tackle my first sff build. Thought I had all the parts. Just realised I now need cables. That video made me happy to watch the time and effort you put in was well worth it. I will definitely be giving this a go. Thanks for sharing
You know how some people feel satisfied watching videos of machines repetitively processing goods with very high precision? I’m not one of them but cables though...cables I dig! It’s satisfying!
Looks amazing, I'm glad I discovered your channel a while ago and see how you are slowly but steady evolving and improving your work. All the best for the upcoming year!
I almost went with that same theme with mine. I have carbon white in there. Love that MDPC-X sleeve. I was just going to custom length, non-sleeved cables, but it looked so damn clean that not sleeving them was letting it down. Yours turned out about as perfect as possible. Excellent work man.
Your soldering is really great and you make excellent use of your helping hand stand. A tip I'd pass down to you is to put some dialectic grease on your soldered wires before you cover it with heat shrink.
I've been wanting to make custom cables for my large case for years and here you are doing it on a case this small...I gotta get my act together and do it
Dude this is amazing! I'm super interested in getting a Louqe Ghost S1 and making it my main gaming/rendering pc once I graduate from college and this is the ONLY video that I've found that goes in depth on how to cable manage the S1, so thanks.
Custom cables are not necessarily just an aesthetic mod. Considering the fact that you can use custom thickness, that means you can get better efficiency out of your power supply and less heat and minimum length means minimum EMI. Plus there are different wires with different cores and different characteristics like resistance, frequency response and other mechanical characteristics.
Why is beneficial? PSU current delivery its spot on with smaller cables. Constant Voltage and because of the smaller distance you have less need for amps that is good for Mosfet lines because they don't get hot. Good job with the build!
I love your videos and this is pure perfection! I replicated your Ncase M1 build and bought the Mindbender blue custom cables and boy am I thankful I did! Happy new year!
Watched a whole bunch of your videos now, but this was the one that finally tipped me over to subscribe. Well done mate! Personally I would have taken it one step further and replaced the brown and white wires for the power button with all black, but that's just my stupid level of aesthetic nitpicking.
i just built a node 202. the stock cables on the corsair do leave alot to be desired... that being said, i have all the tools to do this, including the molex pin remover..... im just too LAZY to do it. beautiful work man!!!
onecleangti Pro tip: The Platinum edition of SF 600W comes with premium sleeved cables instead of the stock ones. It’s only $20 more expensive than the Gold edition of the SF 600W and it’s a full cable kit, not extensions. So in the future, if you’re buying a SF PSU and intend to also get black custom cables, just buy the Platinum grade PSU.

That job is amazing bro. I recommend that you get the side panels done in acrylic or glass somehow to fit on the case with screws. Also to have ventilation on the panels. Or it could be that one on the panels is converted to glass
Man that's some real dedication right there. Are there any modular PSU manufacturers that sell various length cable sets for small builds? I'd love to build a silent Mini-ITX rig with Ryzen 3000 next year.
It totally worth it! OCD heavens! Mine was white and red. Any parts I can buy white, I'b duy white. Else, I'd paint them over if it's not dangerous. Still working on it though, recently picking up that sleeves like you did
With those custom cables, can you try an AIO build with the radiator on the bottom instead of the top? I think it looks a lot better aesthetically but according to other people the main problem is lack of airflow with full-length stock cables, and custom cables should fix that.
Your work is outstanding; very professional. Sleeving the power button and SATA cables was a nice touch. I'd be willing to pay for a custom set from you for my own build.
That is basically 13 minutes of pure OCD satisfaction

Not really, since this has nothing to do with OCD, which is a mental disorder.
@@TheEchelon ocd is a mental disorder? i thought everyone has it, just different kinds .
@@fynkozari9271 Haha no, a lot of people just view if like a personally quirk for some reason.
great production skills, you're good at what you do man.
Thanks!

Total legend, but Underrated RUclipsr
From component selection to build execution this is one of the most perfect PCs I've seen so far. Love the compact and well sorted sff systems.

Great work both on the build and the year's videos.
Jeezus when you even sleeve the power button cables... give this guy a trophy!

Solid build mate, well done! Good to see someone actually making cables and not taking the easy way out buying pre built
Cost... Sometimes is the cost...also... The time cost, tools... Hability
The cinematography of your videos is so satisfying

Melting the heat shrink and folding it then pulling it away pretty awesome
I just discovered your channel. You are one of the most talented tech youtubers out there
It's not OCD, you're just passionate about it. Like people who keep their car engines always clean and shiny.

Must be rewarding to complete an ordeal of this level. With bending taken into account on wire lengths.. Praise to thee!
As someone who has had. The exact same problem with split connections I chuckled a bit when you said 'real quick'.
