For cutting aluminu with a CNC router, use lower cut depth and much higher feedrate. That way you don't stay in one spot for long enough to cause the aluminum to soften and clog the tool. You're moving so slow that you are heating up the local areas. Use one or two flute tools. I recommend using alcohol for bit cooling with small jobs because it works really well and leaves a clean part, bed and whatever else stuff is splattered onto. The downside with alcohol is the fumes. It needs a lot of ventilation, especially on large time consuming jobs.
WD-40 is really good for aluminum, but alcohol is just cleaner and works just as well for routing. I use a mist cooler with alcohol on my machine.
Both WD-40 and alcohol are trade tricks when cutting aluminum.
Doesn't mist cooling with alcohol create a really inflammable atmosphere?

Polish youtuber arhn.eu also had problems with youtube's 4K processing recently. He had to reupload video because apparently it stopped playing completely (that's what he said under reupload, I was lucky enough to be able to watch it in 720p/1080p)

Your CNC problems weren't because of the tape, at least from what I could see in the video. Judging by your tools being gummed up with aluminium I'd have to say you were going too deep too slowly, take shallower cuts at a higher speed.
You want a single flute carbide tool with a flat bottom, if you can't secure your material very well then take cuts around half a millimeter down at over 2000mm/minute. I typically run 2500mm/m at 18000rpm spindle speed.
You probably also want a proper cutting lubricant if you're just using oil and air at the moment, invest in a misting setup if you need to cut aluminium often, less is more.
then you'd do more passes, I suppose? it caught my eye that the piece was too thick to be milled at once, much like carving wood, if you go in too hastly you'll gum up the bit and cause it to burn out and burn the wood.
I only suppose. out of ignorance and lack of experience in CNC in my end, of course.
@@sauloaugustomartino803 essentially yeah, in any situation where holding the material is an issue you should do light passes and make sure your last pass is as light as possible since once the price breaks free you want as little force on the tool as possible so it doesn't try to move.
The main mistake people make is slowing the feed speed down when it starts to struggle thinking it gives the tool more time to chew through the material but that is the worst thing you can do as the tool will rub against the cut edge producing heat and wearing the tool. Always better to work out what your feeds and speeds should be for that tool regardless of the specs of your machine. Stick to those feeds and speeds that work but vary the cut depth of your spindle doesn't have the power to maintain speed.
I myself don't really worry too much about loading my spindle as it is 10hp through a 1/4" tool so you aren't stopping it. But even on my 5 metric ton router I always make my last cut pass about 1mm at the most depending on the material and how well I have it held.

some bits take variability in RPM better, some outright just shag your materiel when going too slow or cut it more when going too fast.

Oh yeah it's exactly the same as routing timber, the only difference is when you get tool rub on aluminium is sticks to the tool and you have a bad day whereas when cutting wood I generally find it just makes more noise but still brute forces its way through without issues.
As for rpm variability that isn't something I bother with for my purposes but is essential if you want incredibly clean cut edges in harder materials as without it your tool can hit a resonant frequency and it will vibrate and chatter whereas with a constantly changing rpm the vibrations can never hit a resonant frequency so the vibrations are kept at a minimum

CNC problem.
1. Milling to deep.
2. To fast.
3. No coolant.
4. No safety.
Legit. The depth of cut and feed rate were too high, the coolant isn't really an issue, they could've just done a spray follow along with wd40 if they wanted a cleaner cut but it's not necessary. If they did a proper chip per tooth rate it would be fine and if they used the correct endmill or router bit.
Definitely was thinking "why the heck are the cutting a half inch into their table!, No wonder they are having troubles!"

Love the custom machining going into this build. Most people just kind of mount things where ever they can and call it a day. Also, my new PC has a Seasonic 750w PSU, which is also overkill for my build, but its fantastic. Ill never have to worry about it, and can upgrade other parts in the future without worrying about it.

This is awesome. I built three sleepers out of computers that people told me I couldn't. First was a HP Compaq DC7600 Full Tower, the second was a IBM Netvista desktop that you would sit the monitor on top of. And the last was a clamshell Dell Optiplex GX280 that I had to repin the power button. But it worked and I loved it! Love seeing your all work!

I had the memory error for so long with an ROG mobo and ended up having to go in and short the CMOS battery terminal to reset the default ram speed. Don't know if that's what fried your first board but if that helps even one person I'm happy.

Windows 2000 is essentially freeware at this point though.
Oh my! They are using a case I had back in 1995! It weighed as much as most complete PCs do today and was strong enough to support my weight as a stool! But the separate power supply kept the heat down, and away from the motherboard. I had a CDR and a DVDR, plus a3in and a 5in floppy drive. (google floppy drive yourself kids) I ran a 486-60 and later a Pentium 100, then a 300 in it without any problems. Cooling was a pain, because the cabling was so huge! I installed some fans that sounded like freight trains when they ran at full power. But it ran perfectly! Now I have a Cooler Master HAF 932, and you can put anything made into it with plenty of room for my big hands, and the air cooling is fantastic and quiet.

It probably doesn't have to do with the Speed of your CNC routing. More with the depth of it. I've seen people do Steel/Iron on CNC router with the right bits. What they have in common is they do not take much depth. Perhaps, 0.2 mm per pass till they are through. Very shallow cuts.
Yeah what they really need is a good o flute bit, and some more experience.

Put a like on any video using mobile app, close the app, reopen it and the video. Your like is "removed", and you can go cry how youtube is removing your likes.
@Russell White that's funny because people only notice likes/dislikes are "removed" when they are enraged and want to build conspiracy theories.
@@igoresque There's analytics and multiple bots setup to monitor dislikes and comments. hundreds of thousands of comments and equally hundreds of thousands of dislikes removed. I've half a dozen screens shots just myself showing multiple 40-70k blocks of dislikes removals. There's an algorithm atm preventing much more than a 2:1 dislike to like ratio.
I moved away from Canada a couple years ago. Hearing Alex and Anthony talk makes me feel at home.
