- I have been using this method for 15 years and it always comes out great! Sometimes it’s best to touch up certain kinds of damage instead of having to repaint an entire body panel! When working on a flat panel like a door or a hood, it’s best to use a sanding pad along with your sandpaper! The supplies I used were: touch up paint from Nissan dealer, rubbing alcohol, 1500, 2000, 3000, 5000 grit sandpapers, and Sonax polishing compound. Hope this video helps someone out! Such a good video! Thanks for the help brotha. I got a pen that I used completely wrong. Can’t wait to try this out on the hundreds or rock chips I got on my car 😅
Thanks I appreciate it! Let me know how it goes!
Sweet!
Thanks!
Question, do you not try and polish the touch up paint before applying the clear? This is where I always get confused. As how to get the applied paint matching the original without affecting any other areas.. but if it comes matched to the paint… 🤨 you wouldn’t need to polish it… I think I overthought it.
Damn i was looking for a video like this over a year ago. Lol
This pen is not explained well. Until now.
What do you use to get the paint to dry fast ?
Heat gun
lets do a diff color like Silver
Modern vehicle care what buffer or at a minimum which model would be good for polishing out the sanding marks. Would like to get one strong enough to use for this same project but it doesn't have to be an expensive model. Thanks
Any 3 inch DA polisher will work fine for a small project. The higher end brands like rupes and flex are meant for professional use and will just run smoother and last longer.
Really impressive work. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Can you share the link where I can order it ?
Most car dealers sell them, just provide them your vin number and they will order it for you
When polishing, what speed rpm is your recommendation to use ?

Who applies polish before finishing the job 😂
Bro what 😂😂😂
@@modernvehiclecare Polish alone won't last more than a few months without a few layers of a high quality clear coat.
