- Ciro 3d Highway Pegs can really help you catch comfort level 1000 on your Harley Davidson. I certainly approve of the way these mount to the frame, and I really like the new twin rail footrests that Ciro makes. They match the stock HD "streamline" style without totally ripping the MoCo off!

Ciro3d makes some awesome products I just hope they expand beyond the 2014-18 line. great showing the whole procedure sometimes losing stuff helps find a better way like a phillip screw. we all lose stuff. great stuff. thanks

This was a great video. I think most guys like to do some of their own work to get to know their bike and make it their own. Having an idea about what is going on before starting a job is great. I would love to see more videos of this nature with varying degrees of difficulty. Dirty thumbs up!

Excellent video. Always informative and entertaining. Exactly what I need for my '21 RGS with stock chopped guard. H-D does not make anything that will work as far as I can tell.
Great video. I got some Kuryakyn highway pegs that are in a similar position, only they come off the engine guards of my ‘18 Road Glide Special!

I had those type pegs on a 2011 FLSTSE2. Rode 86k miles on that bike and was comfortable all the way.

Another great Vlog You've put together. I have an unrelated TECH question for you. I have a 2015 Ultra Limited, I have found out that the BOOM BOX needs an upgrade(defiantly in need of an upgrade). In your opinion, is it better for New Port Richey H-D to do the upgrade? I have some thumb/jump drives myself could I install the upgrade myself? Also if I do take it to the dealership in your best guess roughly how much would I be paying for New Port Richey to perform the upgrade? Thank you so much for all that you're doing. Keep up the great work.
Liked the video I ordered the same set for my bike. I was totally disappointed when I opened it and saw most of the powder coat had came off. I sent them back for a refund. For $250 bucks I thought it would be better quality. But I could of gotten a bad batch. Neither to say I'll look for a better alternative. Love the channel.
I just bought a set of the Highway Peg mounts. John, you will be happy to know, the little screw for the Tab Spring you lost is preinstalled on the new sets so you don't have to loose the thing and go crazy. :-)
Thanks John, I am thinking of a slow speed lay down, as in training for slow speed very tight turns (Ride Like a Pro program). I thought the first point of contact would be the Engine Guard and the Saddlebag guard? The foot boards would just fold up... This would be on a 2019 Street Glide Special.
I don’t think it would touch even as low as I have them mounted, but don’t forget, they’re fully adjustable, and can be raised higher than I have them mounted.
On an iPhone if you swipe right from the compass there is an angle display. Might be useful for getting both sides the same.
Hi John, I'm really enjoying your videos. I have a question about these highway peg mounts. Occasionally on my 2018 Ultra I scrape the footboards in corners, this is not a serious problem as the footboards pivot up - so I dont lift a tyre off the road. The mounting for these pegs seems to stick out further than the footboards and dont have a pivot. Is this a problem if you ground the bike in a corner and could it become a safety issue?
I'm looking for a something to install on the top of my engine guard of my 2017 SGS. I've noticed that, while going down the hwy., I can put my feet on the top of the engine guards and the wind is so much decreased and my legs are kind of short for the traditional hwy. pegs mounted on the outside of the engine guard. Please give me some options. I would like to find some rubber pads that would work.

What’s funny is you said it takes about an hour to install. It always takes me twice as long to look for that itty bitty part I dropped and then going to the hardware to find a replacement. I think parts makers should throw in a couple extra cuz you know it’s gonna happen. You know it’s true. 👍

Will these still work with the HD extended length floorboards?
Hey John I like your Channel I keep watching it every time something pops up but I noticed these pegs that you are putting on the Road Glide how durable are they. If you happen to lay down your bike because you lose your balance when you accidentally pressed on the front brakes too hard like what happens to me now and then and the floor board hold up from keeping your bike from getting damaged.

If it were to lay over (wreck type situation) it would hit the mount before the engine guard. Which is the same case with an engine guard type mount.

Hey John, I’m planning on doing my own handlebars Paul Yaffe 12” I have a 2017 Ultra with heated grips and I can’t find any videos or blogs about that heated grip wire and how long it is can you let me know if I need any extra extension for that heated grip wire, I have everything else figured out. Checked the site and I found no reference to which bikes these fit. I would guess they may not work on the new Softails or the Lowrider. Any info you have would be appreciated. Great video.

nah, HD puts so much blue loctite on those bolts, the threads in the frame will have some leftover until my great grand kids watch this video on their iPhone 50...
Hey John, just catching up on my RUclips, and had (another) question - I have floorboard spacers on my Road King (moves the floorboards out about an inch or so - much more comfortable with my wide clodhoppers on there now). Would this style highway peg mount still work with the spacers?
Yes, but you would need an even longer bolt. When you added the spacers you used a longer than stock bolt. These mounts come with a longer bolt, too. Doubt it would be long enough, though.
But happens if you forget to put the stand down and it slow mo s to the pavement are ya going to break them off? What if you are going 5 mph or ...will they grab and flip. Inquiring minds wanna know. I made a sudden stop once cause a car came from around a van taking up my side of the road as I was leaving a gas station with a steep driveway and a high street I stopped but each tire on each straddling the low spot I couldn’t touch the ground and yes I rolled over would it have broken it off?

They’re likely to narrow at the bottom. I think they’re from Kuryakyn so you might can find some that fit your bike and look the same up top.

Do the Ciro Highway Pegs interfere with cornering clearance? One thing I'm digging about the new touring bikes is that I haven't ground the floorboard in a turn yet.

With the pegs being that low, how will tight corners/turns be effected? My train of thought is that when I am scraping my floorboards, will these scrape, could they dig into the road if I am leaned way over? Thank you sir!
They can be adjusted higher if need be, but I don’t think they’re any lower than most of the engine guard mounted highway pegs that I install.

That was my concern. I ride the twisties in the NC/Tenn Blue ridge a lot. I was worried about it decreasing the lean angle. I scrape the floor boards already.

I like those a lot more than the crash bar mounted. It’s a cleaner look and my short ass can probably use them. I have to stretch my feet out to even touch the crash bar.
They’re perfect for the shorter rider!

I ride with heel on fb & toes on hgw peg. Can these be adjusted up enough to ride that way than pivot toes over to brake without lifting heel??? Ty Triglides are awesome
Hey john love the videos. Do you know of any kind of highway pegs for a 2018 softail street bob. I have the bung king Highway bar on now to use as a highway peg. But I kind of want to take it off. It makes me nervous in the turns. I’d like a more forward control, but Harley hasn’t come out with a kit yet.
Have you priced doing the forward controls without buying a kit? Just buying what comes stock on say, a fat bob?
One of the sales guys at my local dealer said it was 2000 to convert the fat bob forwards to my bike. Seems like a lot of money. So I’m hoping Harley comes out with a model specific kit that’s a little cheaper. There is a company out of Singapore on eBay that has a kit. But it doesn’t have a very nice “fit and finish” look to it. I’ll give it another year before I brake down and spend the 2 grand on the fat bob parts. The sales guy said it cost that much because they had to change out the whole primary cover. Not sure what he was talking about.
I don’t know the full on cost, but now I’m interested enough to look into it. I think that sales guy might be taking your street bob in on trade and selling you a new fat bob for 2k...
John Maxwell ya I never really trust the sales guy. I haven’t actually talked to the parts guys yet. If you find out any info I’d be grateful. Next time I head down to the dealers I’ll inquire from the parts guys.
As an armorer we use a magnet, its about 8 inches X 2 inches mounted on a broom-type handel, to find small parts that end up on the floor. Just another Pro Tip for you.
I was about 5 minutes away from busting out the broom. I like the magnet idea on the end of it!

No. I didn’t realize this would be such a common question! There is plenty of space left in a lean angle

they absolutely will. That's really where they shine, no need to worry about that tiny 3" area of an engine guard put the mount and then try to adjust them so they actually work. Just by pass the engine guard all together!

I like this but will they fit on a 05 Softal
unfortunately the way footboard mounts, these will not work. They also don't make a set for my 18. Hence my use of John's touring bike. I do have some Ciro products coming that will fit your '05, though!
