I liked that it was a real "Dirty Thumb" to give the thumbs-up. And, if I owned a Harley and lived anywhere near Columbus, I wouldn't think twice about where I'd take my bike for service. Glad you're making videos again brother.
THERE ARE other mechanics out there in the wild, but John is, and always has been, THE REAL DEAL!! He's the ONLY one I would ever trust!! Keep up the great work John, and hope and pray that you have continued success!!
Wow man “ I’m not here to rip nobody off , I’m here for some honest work at a reasonable price , just here to help you trust your bike “ couple things I’ve never heard of LOL .. I’m in New York wish there were more like you here or just one like you here anyways never change and you’ll be in business forever all the best
Man I wish more shop were like you !!!! You’re not about the money you’re about the bikes and taking care of your customers. We need more people like you in this world. If I’m ever out that way I’ll stop by
Man, all of that electronic shit! When I got my first Harley, a '51 Panhead, the only electronics involved was the flashlight I carried for working on it on the side of the road in the middle of the night.
I know this is an old video, but it was really awesome to get to meet you guys today. Everyone was super cool...I was on a monster and star struck a bit LMAO. Thank you for taking the time to talk and shake my hand.
I used the same Powervision from my Sporty on my Dyna. I even wrote my own tune after being unimpressed with the canned maps, my Dyna runs better & cooler than it ever did. I had to do a bunch of homework & learn about how air cooled engines work but knowledge isn't a bad thing to have.
You should paint all the walls white, might help with the lighting. Wish you were closer to me I’d definitely take my bike to you man. You’re an honest dude.
Another reason to support your local Independent motorcycle shop is fast delivery of parts. Got a call 5 minutes after watching this video about the voltage regulator I ordered the day before. It is at the shop less than 24 yours after ordering it for less money than I could have bought it online.
Man, I'm glad to see that the COVID mess and all of the shortages didn't kill your business right as you were getting started. I was worried there for a while when the videos stopped coming out as often. Congrats on keeping it going. Looks like you aren't too far away from expanding.
I bought me one early this morning. I bought the Kyrakan radio, Tour-Pak too, and will look into that helmet you bought. I also have the mighty Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic FLHCS 114. Thank you, and keep up the great work. RLTW
Oh Columbus GA .. My best guess was FL .. I worked in a Motorcycle repair shop when I was 15 years old in 1975 .. I mostly was a parts washer.. but I had been working on my own Yamaha YZ-80-A out a GYT Kit on it Ported it ect.. changed carb jet sizes changed my own tires ect.. The shop helped me replace the one case after a stick got pulled into the front sprocket ocver on my 1976- YZ-125 a year leater.. I worked on a Farm the in 1976 for some reason Longer hours for more pay I guess..
VCI? when I lived in Germany its stood for Verband Der Chemischen Industrie or German Federation of Chemical Industries. When I worked around chemicals its stood for Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor basically spray some stuff on metal parts to keep them from corroding. But I think it for your application it stands for Vehicle Communication Interface.
Very informative John! After 40 years of Honda's, I finally bought my first Harley (2013 FLHTC) and I'm learning about it. You've taught me a lot. Thanks!
Mr. Maxwell. We missed you. You just know how to make people laugh or smile. Your First year did involve a Global Pandemic so I have a pretty good idea that shit will get better. Especially product delivery... They may be higher priced because of Gas prices and "what not" ... Good luck John. G
John I wish you were here in CO because you would have all my business for motorcycle work. Glad it's been a productive year for you and glad you are starting to do videos again.
Het I took my 2009 Kings Mountain Indian Chief Vantage that most shops want tough and John was awesome. John I hope you do well and the way you and the Men you have working for you are awesome as well !!! Want a fair and Honest pricing and Great job GO SEE JOHN MAXWELL at Maxwell's Motorcycle shop Columbus Ga.
Wish we had a Harley mechanic like you, up here in S/E South Dakota. I’d forgo my last year of extended warranty, and install the stage 2, with the Redshift Cam.
All common stuff a HD dealer does. No difference. Mine doesn't have the fork lock anymore with my TBars. Dealer flashed it so it runs just on the on/off switch on the handlebar.
@@synonyx true. For $125/hour. I’m fortunate to have an ex HD Service Mgr/tech now working out of private garage for half. Cash of course. And that’s only when I can’t do it myself or don’t have the software, yada, yada.
The TCI is an indispensable tool used to interface with a vehicles ecm (electronic control module) thus enabling the tech to adjust, download, set, reset all pertinent configurations associated with particular vehicle/program. John you use HD MC I assume. I use(d) CNH software for farm equipment repair, upgrades etc. Close bud?
man, what a great video, i use john all the time. not a better tech in the columbus area. i ride from warner robins ga to columbus. i dont trust the local area shops. hope u hav continued success with ure business
Man, I wish more shops were this straightforward and transparent.
Where are you located
I know its a pain but if you painted the whole shop white that would help with lighting.
yep. First thing we did moving into our new shop. :)
You are "the real deal" buddy!!!! I have followed you since you started and so happy for you!!!!
Ocala Fl.
I agree 100%
I second that!
Trust and honesty are huge! No one I trust more than Maxwell. His knowledge and honesty are worth there weight in gold!
Stage 3 and 4 upgrades! Market that like these Harley dealerships do.
It’s so nice to have the beard, sunglasses and dirty thumbs in my RUclips feed!!
Glad your shop is doing well support your local mechanic keeps America riding free. Thanks John
It's really great to see a brother do good.

It’s good to see you putting out videos again. Even if it’s only one here and there, it’s good stuff.
Man, all of that electronic shit!

GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE STILL ALIVE AND KICKEN. WE ALL MISS YOU VIDEOS. WE UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF BIDNESS
If you ever get the chance, I would love to see a video on a start to finish on how to properly tune your bike with a Powervision. 😉👍
I'm proud to see you get through the growing pains and still have a good attitude. Sincere Congratulations!
John Maxwell.. Awesome video bro.. VCI stands for Vehicle Communication Interface

Every workshop needs a dachshund helper, just gorgeous.

Keep up the great content.
All the best on the new shop
I sure as hell wish you were closer to Chattanooga Tennessee to me
Man, I'm glad to see that the COVID mess and all of the shortages didn't kill your business right as you were getting started. I was worried there for a while when the videos stopped coming out as often. Congrats on keeping it going. Looks like you aren't too far away from expanding.
Us bikers were riding while everyone else was hiding. Bikers for the most part aren't gonna run and hide inside just because someone on TV told us to.
Maxwell's is where i go when i need something. Btw, that was a nice barracuda silver denim RGS 🤣
I bought me one early this morning. I bought the Kyrakan radio, Tour-Pak too, and will look into that helmet you bought. I also have the mighty Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic FLHCS 114. Thank you, and keep up the great work. RLTW
Looks like you got it going on... full service, please :)

Congratulations on the big one year anniversary. I am glad your business is doing well. I think your videos are great.
Call a shooting range place for the old tires. They shred them up and put them in the back of the range as a backstop. They’re great for that stuff.

If only I could get my Night Train from PA to Columbus, GA for some work.
I would do the same from Ohio
I was literally writing out the comment about lights but you beat me to it. Good to seeing you getting the vids out again.
Tuesday: “I can disable fork locks, overide ignition, etc..”
Wednesday: Sheriff’s visit.

I feel the back order pain. I’ve been waiting for over a month for a belt and pulleys for my ‘06 Street Rod.
I knew you would really take off and business would grow beyond all expectations. Super happy for you.
Honestly I would drive my bike up from Sarasota just so you can service it! Glad your doing videos again!
Wish I was close to you John, hard finding reliable, honest service. Keep up the great work!
I am sticking with my local HD dealer, mainly because Maxwells motorcycles are not here in Granville QLD Australia 🤘
Congratulations on your own shop...
Very informative John, Thanks! See you soon.
