Illegal to use copper for gas. It wouldn't have passed inspection which this was inspected. No where in California or west coast for that matter is copper allowed for gas. We had to use poly for the majority of the underground and then transition to hard pipe to connect back to the house and also so we didn't have to move the earthquake valve. I also hard piped it from the earthquake valve so it wouldnt be flopping around in the wind and so we could connect back onto the house hard piping. Did you do plumbing in Tijuana or..?? Copper for gas? Now that's crazy 😳

If I recall it's 18 where cars don't drive and 24 where cars drive. That was 24 to 30 inches deep in some areas
