Messerschmitt? I tnink not. It's a P-51 Mustang built by North American Aviation. Probably the same one that strafed LIttle John in the episode "Gulliver."
I was watching COMBAT when I was a kid in 1965. I was an Army Flight Lieutenant for a 4-ship squadron of helicopter gunships in 1973. This has to be the worst COMBAT ever made. The soldiers are all bunched up together. There is no point-man. No line-out of the squad in single cover. Been in battle enough times to know THIS IS BAD.
Those poor guys, getting strafed again by the USAAF. Those 8th AF pilots seem unclear on the concept of target identification. Seriously though, it seems to me that the studio could have maybe leased or rented one of the spanish-built BF(Me)-109s that were being produced well into the 50s.
Anybody who doesn't believe in Luck has never spent much time in a Casino or in Combat. I'm NOT superstitious but I know without a doubt that Luck is very real. I've seen it too many times to think otherwise. What is Luck? Who knows...
Dolan and squad has to duck from a P51 D 'bubble canopy' Mustang..LOL..I rarely nit pick from this outstanding mid 60's series, but this gaff is too much here, a 'Messershmit'?..LOL!!..Robert at 67.
Not another P51 Messerschmidt, that always gets to me. Even footage of a real ME-109 would be preferable to seeing what is obviously a Mustang to any war plane enthusiast.
They had the same viewpoint a Season or two back....Season 4 maybe..... Who could make that mistake ?? Wonder what they would call a P-47 Thunderbolt or a Lightning ?? Stuka ? ha !!!! Despite that, I like these guys.
Youu're not superstitious,BUT?That"but"proves that you are.In cassinoes skill is much more important than"luck".A good poker-player is the one who is knowing the chances of a good card comming up.That is statistics.He reads the body-language of his fellow players,looking for signs of good or bad cards.That's skill.If you play Lotto,you don't expect to win,but if you,out of millions of other people win,it's"luck",or rather coincidence.And life has never been fair....

Somebody hasn't been studying their aircraft recognition cards. That was definitely an Me 151 Musterschtang.
