I wonder if the actors ever got tired filming in the same location . I mean you are limited with the ways you can shoot in the same area at different angles .
Hope the band has instrumental insurance, Lets rock in enemy territory, 😂👏👌👍🙂The guy changing the flat where did he get shot do not see any bullets in em.Did that german guy say pastout if I heard these guys play I would be🥂🍺
Not so. They are in the USO - under military discipline and required to follow orders. Not soldiers but civilians in an active military area. Also simple ordinary courtesy required of any human in a social situation.
+pepjrp Noah Berry Jr, ( son of Wallace berry the old actor from the 30s'), Also Dennis Hopper on drums. I don't know the guy on the Bass, but he had a career as a supporting actor in dozens of movies and also made a good living as a dilect teacher for a lot of Hollywood actors. His specialty was a southern gent which he did a lot.
I'd bet France was littered with hundreds if not thousands of rifles and such after the war. The burned out tanks, jeeps, halftracks downed planes. A scrappers paradise.
This episode was probably a dig against the Beatles and the music hippy generation. Had to use jazz because irresponsible and arrogant rock musicians weren't yet around in the 1940's though this episode was in 1967.
Those musicians *especially the BIG MOUTH with busted trombone were MAJOR MORONS. He is responsible for the deaths of the driver and the MP as well as the torn up fiddle and drums.*
Dennis Hopper can't even play television stage prop half ass simulating drums!...Gene Krupa he is NOT, and I don't care about his role in 'Easy rider' or his 'acclaimed' role in the 80's role 'Hoosiers'...LOL!!..Robert at 67. Dan Durea, I do give Kudo's in his role here. P.S..Kirby is my kind of guy with that kick butt B.A.R. with the 30' 6 ammo that can cut through tree trunks and cinder block..
I loved that BAR.
9:55---Oh that Saunders way: you just don't mess with him. He turns, takes his time and asks, "What did you say?"
should of broke his teeth with a good butt stroke ..

Lol An Infantry squad would never take a group of musicians on a mission.
Nothing like calling attention to the enemy is there???
Looks like where opie threw the rock in the beginning of the Andy Griffith show.
After Normandy, this lake, the village and the eucalyptus grove were the most hotly contested real estate in France.
and the most famous concrete drainage ditch in the middle of nowhere.
How many times does that lake show up in the 6 years
+John Wedeward That's Elysian Park Resevoir in LA. Google Earth it. Probably in more than a dozen shows.
@@bobwilliams1947 and the concrete ditch
I was thinking the same thing myself, quite a supporting cast, i think they're all gone now!
The 42nd doc ( Conlan, Kirby (Jack) and Billy ,( Lowell) are still with us. God bless Vic, Dick, Rick. Missed by sooooo many!!!

What caliber is that clarinet?
B flat.
COMBAT...
They're civilians and not required to show military courtesy or follow military discipline.

The more I watch this, the more I'm amazed how much France & Germany resemble No. CA!!! :-)
No way. They wouldn't fake a Hollywood TV show. Next you'll be telling us The Andy Griffith Show was not actually filmed in North Carolina.
Love to see Dan Duryea, one of the good old time actors.
Yea, a lot of them in this episode. Jim Rockford's dad. Ha. Dan Duryea dies not long after this filming.

Robert Easton , he was on the Johnny Carson show one night and went through about 20 American accents
That dude is annoying.
Saunders should have bitch-slapped Dan Duryea, just for good measure.
+CapnHawk Heck no - I vote for a good swap to the face with the steel buttplate of that Thompson!
Es lamejor seria tiempp demi papa lo gue pasa le falta hidioma español
I liked the B&W episodes but color tv was a new thing and all the networks were going to color.
Needs more cowbell
That's hysterical!!!
Jim Rockford's dad!!
God to see Rocky.
Yes
Shouldn’t they have taken the dead guys weapons?
I would have!!!

WHO?
That was a different programme!
Hello, I’m a homeless vet. I was just thrown out by the Sheriff. I need a place to stay. I’ll pay you back. There’s a non-commerce pact against me.
Rocky!!!!!!!!!!!!
The demeanor & brattiness of the musicians=the demeanor & brattiness of today’s US citizens.
This is the 3rd from the last episode of the show.
BOO!!!
The musicians were non combatants. There was no need for the Germans to attack them. Wast of time and money!

Maybe they were more in Motown, the classics of 60's???
