Also, the folders in one ui, if you press home you go to the homescreen which is better but if you did want to go back to the folder screen, you can still do that if u exit app using back gesture instead. That will take you back to the folder screen. 1 thing I love about android is just having more little options incase u need them.

9:00 best decision in One UI.
Having the folder lower on the screen is the best solution for those who use the phone with just one hand, which happens most of the time. Especially on phones with large screens like the S23 ultra

10 years ago I used to look at iPhones with a certain degree of envy as to how much smoother the UI was than Android. Now though, it really feels like splitting hairs at this point 😂
From hopping on an iPhone every once in a while, I'm most bothered by the lack of a universal back gesture, often thinking how on earth do I go back from here i.e. find the random back arrow or start swiping around, hoping the app has a back gesture.

    MY 2023 list :
    1. Huawei mate x5 foldable 1 tb simply brilliant it has absolutely everything devoid of nothing
    2. My glorious incredible Samsung s23 ultra most fun phone ive ever owned
    3. ONE PLUS OPEN good hinge
    4. XIAOMI MIX FOLD 3 excellent design
    5. PIXEL 8 PRO impressive AI
    6. Iphone 15 pro max 1 tb great video and excellent clean implementation of their AI voice accessibility feature
The Huawei mate x5 fold is phenomenal. It has micro SD card, every camera is incredible, 3 to 5 day battery, stylus pen works every screen , big front screen, emergency satellite crash etc it's amazing and I'm a big Samsung fan
The iphone 15 pro max is my favorite iPhone but it can't compare to any of those androids with its limitations and many of those features like programmable side key and USB C Samsung has had for years
Too many limitations with the iphone . I started with the iphone Years ago . I first transitioned with the samsung s10 plus and then now my s23 Ultra and next year z fold 6. The s pen gestures and utilization of camera from a distance , multi tasking, 10 x zoom , samsung dex and flow , Nintendo emulators of super smash bros ans Mario oddyseey, astrophotography of constellations, better photo editing, customization of theme and keyboard, copy and paste clipboard, better AI capabilities, things like micro sd card, music ring tone customization, how you can download anything from anywhere at anytime , foldable innovation etc . Thats why Samsung , Huawei, Xiaomi and Google Pixel 8 pro are superior to the iPhone. The iPhone is based on simplicity which is good for some but I'll never accept being forced to use e Sim to go back to it

on iPhone you can stop the animations because they are slower, if you set the duration to 1.5 on samsung you will also be able to stop them... it's true that on the iPhone the animations are fluid but they are often too slow, on an iPhone 15 at 60hz they are really too slow, almost horrendous... I don't mind fast, perhaps if Samsung set them to 1.25 it would hit the mark.

These type of comparisms have no value since each company has their own philosophy on animations
    * Iphone animations: slightly slower with the option to completely turn them off within accessibility
    * Samsung animations: slightly faster with the option to configure exactly to your desires
If you want to make a better comparison, configure animation scaling of samsung to be as similar to the iphone as possible since you prefer iphone animations then make the comparison. Samsung with their large portfolio sells the most phones every year and these buyers dont care about animations. You are a tech nerd who cares about animations so configuring animation scaling in developer options to your preference shouldnt be a hassle or complicated
Id recomend these to make samsung feel like iphone since i tested everything myself to come to this conclusion.
    Windows scale 1x
    Transition scale 1.5x
    Animator scale 1.5x
Most people just put all the scales to one value which make some things slower

Subject: Suggestion for Improvement in iPhone Photos App Album Editing
    Hello Apple Team,
After creating an album and adding photos in the iPhone Photos app, when I navigate to the respective album and click on the "Add Photo" icon, it displays all types of photos and videos on my device. In this situation, it shows the photos and videos I've previously added to the album, leading to potential user errors in selections.
My suggestion is to provide an option like "Show previously added photo and video types in the album" when the user clicks on "Add Photo or Video" after entering the relevant album. This way, users can add new content more efficiently without mistakenly selecting items they've added before.
Implementing this improvement would enhance user experience, making the Photos app more user-friendly.
    Thank you.

I dont understand why Samsung's transitions are so bad. I mean when you unlock the screen with the fingerprint its HORIBLE and i dont understand why they dont fix it, take example Google, when you unlock the screen its a smooth wave that is so much better. I hope One Ui 6.1 or 7 will have better transitions...

You compare animations and "smoothness" (very subjective thing) on device that has so many problems that animations are probably at 10th place. Camera software is terrible on S23U ("we'll fix it with updates" - what happened with that?), vibration is just too weak (even after 10 months I still had a lot of missed notifications whenever the device is in my pocket), frame of the phone is too soft (gets damaged and scratched easily), display also, new One UI brought many hiccups, lags and worse battery life for sure... and everyone is comparing animations. On flagship that can't take a clear pic of moving subject, I really couldn't care less about animations. Looks like thing that Samsung would like people to talk about, forgetting all of the above issues.

    • @nazmulhuda3262.
      @nazmulhuda3262. 7 месяцев назад

Things that you've mention is concerning for a flagship but many also have less issues with that. Kinda subjective. There are drawbacks in every phone you need to weight if it's worth it or not. We people should complain about these regularly and manufacturers also have to take note upon those to make them better. Most does make them better, improve them, many just don't care.

    • @stevanb.2590
      @stevanb.2590 7 месяцев назад

@@nazmulhuda3262. not being able to get clear pic of moving subject in 2023. is not subjective. Most of the people I know use their phones to take pictures of people, kids, pets... and it's still mission impossible on Samsung phones. Competition solved it years ago and Samsung kinda ignores that problem all the time. Forcing users to install third party app (Camera assistant) that should fix things (and it does not) is pure insult. Weak vibration is not subjective, too. People complained about it on S22 series - on S23 Samsungs way to fix it is adding software feature to play vibration sound through speaker (useless in every scenario except in quiet room). Bloatware, with double apps (email, messages, internet browser...) that can't be deleted is ok on 100 bucks devices, on those that cost 10 times more, it should not be acceptable, too. Buy Samsungs A series, you'll have the same bloatware that's present on S series. If definition of flagship is "the best out there", Samsung S series devices really aren't flagships - too many compromises that users have to deal with every year.

      @@stevanb.2590
I agree with you. Objectively we should be able to take pictures in any moment, no matter if it's still or moving subject. And Samsung is not good at that, maybe because they have to process high megapixels which makes it hard to keep subject sharp and in focus, atleast allowing us to control would've helped like we know there is going to be movement so if we can bring down processing time, etc that could've helped. Though Samsung did introduce camera assistant which has many use full features along with the camera shutter speed, this shouldn't be an issue from the beginning atleast not this bad. It might be subjective for people those who don't shoot moving subjects but it's not an excuse for a $1200 phone. They should just bring 200mp when they know it's going to work good in every condition. Like Apple introduced 48mp camera and shooting in any mode looks the same and has no big issue at all.
Many people didn't have any issues with the vibration but surely its a small motor for phones this big and it's stupid thing to do for Samsung. I really appreciate good haptics, some might not find this an issue but why brands like Samsung should ditch good features?
Bloatware like browser is ok, I feel like Samsung browser is more useful to have than Chrome. Their own apps have some features that they want us to use. Many of which are useful. People should give them a try but they also should have an option to delete them as they are paying for it.
There are lot of flagships out there and everyone have their own flaws, it's up to you what you can sacrifice in order to get some good features and experience. But hey all should work on that sacrifice make them less of an issue.

@@nazmulhuda3262. I agree, but there are just too many compromises with Samsung flagships (for years now) and to be honest I kinda feel stupid falling for their "we'll fix it with updates" lies every time. You had years to fix things, and still - it's pretty much the same. Users complain about the same things, and they continue to release devices with same problems. Should not be acceptable at this price range, at least that's what I think.
