I don't comment much, but I had to say a big Thank You. Your explanation is so easy to understand. I hope that you are a teacher in our school system. You would create some very strong students.
I do not know where are you from, but in Europe we describe doors the opposite way. You stay in front of the doors to see hinges. To open the doors you must pull them. The location of hinges describe the door type. If hinges are on the left, the doors are Left Hand, if hinges are on the right, then you have RH doors. So at 0:53 doors in Europe would be left hand (LH).
The 32in closet door should open out with the hinges on the right side. The closet door should open out into the bedroom with the hinges on the left side. And the bathroom door will open into the bathroom with hinges on the left side. So what kind of doors do I need???
You should do a video at some point on motion sensor lights. Get into that nerdy stuff. I hate lights because it’s like we’re constantly in an out of rooms and by time you know it every friggin light is on. When you’re done shut off the light but you gotta be done first.
3280 is not 80" high a 3280 is a 3'2" wide by 8'0" tall The door your refering to is a 2868. The numbers don't mean inches. If the door is 2'8"Wide x6'8"Height it's a 2868 door. Which is 80" overall height. Common mistake because most doors are either 6'8" (80") or 8'0" (96") People confuse 8' with 80" all the time
This is a good point but I avoid that altogether by not using feet and inches. Doors at the store will be labeled 28 inches x 80 inches. So I always measure by inches. Less confusing to everyone. I definitely understand what you are saying because this is a very common way to measure in the industry because it is so easy to say 2 8 or “3 oh” but can be confusing to the DIYer. Thanks for the comment. 👍
Okay you do not put your back to the door you face the door if door knob is on right and hinges are on left it will swing to the left you walk into the room and face the door and by the way that's 31 years of Union certified Carpenter here

I'm sure he is in USA (note the accent) and he is 100% correct when you are in the USA. he didn't make any statments about. Europe.
Brother. Thank you. Simplest explanation in a long time
You are very good to make thing clear, Matt. ☺️
Thank you for this 🙏🏼 I hadn’t even thought about the access to the light switch! Going to get a LH now instead of RH. Thanks!

There is also such things as right hand reverse and left hand reverse that he did not mentioned. His closet door is a left hand reverse.
@@konde888 My downstairs bathroom door opens out the left. I'm having a hard time finding a door that'll fit/correct door
