Hmm I felt like it was actually more open than FF16. In terms of areas of exploration but also because they felt more connected instead of completely apart!
A dream come true if they actually fixed the blurry image quality in performance mode. It literally looks 800p. Went back to FF7 remake and it was a night and day difference in the 60fps mode.

Thanks for the review. Even 50+ hours with very little deviation from the main story is very good length(IMO). I can imagine sinking ~100 hours in this. I do have ps5 but I will not make the same mistake I made with FF7R and play on the console first. PC just nails it. I can wait 3+ months for this at PC and hope I can play it 4k 60fps as I did FF7R. worth the wait. thanks again.
Thanks for the comment! I was pretty much a PC player but recent years have traumatized me with poor ports and shader compilations that break my immersion in the games! If you’re not in a hurry just wait and see if the PC port is worth playing indeed!!!

I did like it. I also liked Remake’s ending, but I understand why some people didn’t love it. With Rebirth, I don’t understand what people didn’t get or enjoy, it was pretty interesting, well presented and digestible in my opinion!
I saw that too. My guess, and I could be wrong is that the ones upset about the ending are the same ones who generally disliked Remake’s ending. If you enjoyed Remake’s ending then I’m guessing you’ll like Rebirth’s as my gut feeling is that they’re changing some things about the story and where it’s going, along with leaving more cliffhangers for pt. 3. It’s probably upsetting or confusing to purists or anyone who hasn’t been paying attention to the many theories out there

Regarding the graphics, I played the demo on performance mode and was satisfied, but then again I played on an old 1080p lcd screed so I didn't notice the blurriness until I decided to get really close to the tv, but from afar, didn't notice anything. Maybe this will be fixed on the ps5 pro😅.

Even FF16 was lame with normal being a tourist or very easy + castrated whole mechanics, no elements, no true magic, no status elements, NOTHING. It was just overrated 6/10 Darks Souls without combat meets FF game. Only FF7R was a ray of hope, it was actually good and mine goty. On hard it was excellent! With all minuses still 8.5/10 for me. Rebirth seems incredible, like a dream come true and honest 9.5 or hell yeah, even 10/10 game and Final Fantasy we needed and we were dreaming for. And I dont care about plot changes anymore, I liked every chapter except 17-18 last game. Even if ending is fucked people put 100+ hours are keep playing. I will try to avoid spoilers. Overall I enjoyed it! Cait Sith was better realized in this version than in the classic in my opinion. Vincent had some cool moments but still needs to be properly developed. Cid is the one I feel like still needs to have a proper development / introduction, but I guess they’re leaving that for the final part of the trilogy!

I’m not a trophy hunter and also I’ve been playing the drums for over 20 years… and the piano mini game is very similar to a rhythm game. I didn’t spend much time on it, I got two songs to level A, and one to level B (almost A but not there). I think the harder songs will be quite challenging to score an A!

I disagree, respectfully. Character skins and proportions are not realistic, but exaggerated. The Last of Us is realistic, for example. Looks way different! That’s my take on it! Thanks!
I didn’t touch the demo. That said, I found the game really beautiful in performance mode. And I’m the type of person to notice low resolution or frame rate drops normally.
I really hope you end up agreeing with me lol but honestly, while I’m playing I’m not focusing on checking rock geometry or shadow maps. And when I’m actively paying attention to the graphics it’s usually during cutscenes. I found the game amazing visually. And in regards to frame drops, I remember just one spot in the game in which there were drops but they didn’t impact the gameplay experience.
I saw a review where sound design is off in some places. I think they said the boulders sound like marbles and waking on rocks sounds like walking on tiles. Plus some reviews have said the end of the story is confusing. But other than that it’s been mostly good. Edit: I’m someone who’s a fan and already pre ordered. Just showing the initial commenter that it’s not all “glazing”.
To me? Nothing worth mentioning honestly. I was super impressed with the game, especially after Junon / Grasslands. If I were to nitpick I’d say some scenes could have had better lighting (skin tones looked a bit weird) and open world exploration could be more original instead of following what other open world games traditionally do. But those are not low points, simply not as great as the remainder of the game.
Digital Foundry talk about some technical difficulties here and there about graphic. But I don't think players will notice or care of those small details while playing.
I played the 1st game on ps4 after having bought the original FF7 $7.99 it came to ps plus essential and when i played it i concluded it was a 6/10 experience at best but more often than not it feels like a 4/10 experience soundtrack is good Sound design incredible Graphics great Gameplay good but not enough combat sections its mostly cutscenes and walking Zero exploration and the ending was horrible on top of arguably the worst remake to a narrative i’ve ever seen. I played the original version on ps4 i’d give that game a 9/10 maybe the remake series once these rebirth games drop will hover around a 7/10 experience when finished but i doubt it the narrative along with the price tag for all 3 of these games can get you dozens of JRPGs with better gameplay and Narratives like sea of stars
Hmm I believe we will get the full feature scene in part 3, when Cloud gets his head together and remembers what actually happened in the past… including that moment.

Ff7 was my favourite game as a kid. Playing it on current gen as an adult at this quality is unreal!
After the previous one changed the storyline and introduced some weird, convoluted ghost crap, I'm terrified how they further destroyed it.

Haven’t played the demo but performance mode for me was awesome. Flowed well, with very few drops, and looked really good.

I never ever find deluxe edition items useful, I actually prefer not to have those items to have a more pure experience with the games I play!

The game is definitely photorealistic. It's just that the aesthetic for clothes, hair and most of the stuff is stylized in-universe.

As long as it is like at least 92% faithful to the OG then I'm good. ( Imo remake was probably like 65-70% faithful so not to good)
