Holy. Hell. I'm one of the "beta testers" for this game listed in the credits. I know the guy who made this game, BY HIMSELF. I would never have guessed that his game would be played at GDQ. Simply amazing!
@@NFITC1 Hell, the whole menu system, save system and whatnot are already impressive. There are dialogues, cutscenes, etc. And I don't think this game is using any kind of off-the-shelf engine. So yea, hats off.
This music is wild- just when you think the composer has figured out what key the melody's in it veers into a whole-tone scale for half a second to remind you not to get your hopes up.
I would be honored if I ever made a game and it ended up in Awful Block at a GDQ. It's easily the best part of the marathon and one of the highlights of my year! And yeah, that focus beam cannon is dope af. It's like the creator thought guns were lame and didn't fit the setting, so he made a daemonic entity that vomits forth streams of unreality every time someone hugs it.
Wow my first comercial game fames not for the reasons I hoped but its fames none the less. I am working on a sequal of sorts right now. It still baffles me how people managed to find all these glitchs.
Hey I'm damn impressed that you made this all by yourself! It's something I couldn't do, and if you can make this alone, I'm absolutely certain you have talent, so keep at it! :)
The way you conserve momentum while the game is paused reminds me of the flash game Pause Ahead, where that's the main gimmick. I think it was also runned at some GDQ some years ago
This is what happens when you enter to the industry with a 3D game but yeah, definitely better than what can I do with my experience Good job developers
"Alright time to watch the next run" *clicks run start time stamp* *immediate chaos happens* "... okay maybe I should start at the introduction for this one."

Say what you want about Sword of the Black Stone, but at the end of the day, it is, technically, a video game.
Well, you're not wrong.
Certainly, a thing that happened.
absolutely one of the games of all time
So basically the pause function here is just the game turning it's back and trusting the player won't move while it's gone, lol. Thanks, I love it!
_Super Hydlide_ had a _Blaster Master_ final boss, and this game has a _Blaster Master_ pause attack. What is this, _Blaster Master_ block? xD

zaxlor nice! Is he a friend of yours
@@somefishhere Yeh he's a good guy
For a single dev, it's not a bad game.
He made that by himself?!

To be fair, the music is accurate to the quality of the rest of the game.
Keepin ya on your toes
"It's a goofy, weird game and definitely worth $2"
Couldn't have said it better myself
“Patty, donate me” is my favorite line for donation readings

I didn't know that Sonic Team realeased a new franchise
I'm getting shivers because *that's cold.*
SAVAGE

It still baffles me how people managed to find all these glitchs.
Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing your next project.
You made a game, that's more than most people can say
As someone who tried programming once, I'm amazed that anything works at all.
Hey I'm damn impressed that you made this all by yourself! It's something I couldn't do, and if you can make this alone, I'm absolutely certain you have talent, so keep at it! :)
Love when authorblues runs obscure awful games.
Werecarebear *masterpieces
I'll tell you what, a better game than I could make right now.
This game unironically deserves to be on Steam
It’s still somehow better than half the early access games out there...
@@ShermTank7272 It's miles better than all the visual novels for sure.
It is on Steam, for 1.99
I genuinely want to buy it now lol
It is better than most games on steam because it's actually finished.
5:20 "CHARIZARD!"
Best part of the audience right there.
The breathing animations look like they’re being given the Heimlich maneuver.
I love the passion behind this game, and the phrase "Now were going to introduce a new mechanic"
This is like a fever dream, but you can't wake up.
I'm so glad you had that disclaimer at the beginning saying that game developing is hard, and not to make fun of the creator
Oh my god, 21:28 best $50 donation in this whole event!
WR!

Good job developers
Thank you for playing this timeless classic.
"No one be mean to the game!"
Everyone proceeds to subtly shit on game. Lmao
He meant that people shouldn't be mean to the developer, harass them and stuff like that
This game seems like it would actually be kinda fun if polished
It's a shame that it plays and looks like a Roblox level though
Cheecan Peecan Everybody’s gotta start somewhere!
4:11 "I didn't read it the first time!" in the background had me HOWLING
hey y'all. go make these two folk's dreams come true and buy this "masterpiece"
#1 GDQ world record. No contest
Someone woke up and decided they wanted to speed run this.
What a beautiful clusterfuck of a run! I love it!
"Alright time to watch the next run" *clicks run start time stamp*
*immediate chaos happens*
"... okay maybe I should start at the introduction for this one."
Quest 3: Defeat Darkness... I know where my magic misles went.
Benedict Holland *I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE.*
If this run was just a bit longer this bit could have been virtual hydelide levels of "so bad it's hilarious". Good funny run though
I fell asleep watching the awful block, and this game is what i woke up to.
So many games have pause button, but only this one has a pause mechanic, it's amazing!
its like Dark Souls
This game illustrates fantastically how hard game dev can be, tbh! They're clearly putting effort in, and with some polish it'd be solid
What a thrill to see a wr! Great run of a very strange game
This was amazing
I'm gonna buy the shirt AuthorBlues is wearing, I saw it at Target.
man, that's definitely one of the video games of all time
it's so hard to interpret what's going on onscreen as gameplay
Entertainment at its finest. 😊
You can buy this on steam for 80 cents
Light, dark and chaos?
*deltarune intensifies*
I don’t really understand what happened. So I’m going to watch this twice more. Then I’m going to buy this on steam. Then I will come back to comment.
That was a really good kaiba voice
What in the world is happening
This has to be a pre-pre-pre-alpha build, right?
no, but it has been made by just one guy alone.
Holy fuck the boss monster noises are straight up ripped from Rune Factory. That’s the roar of the chimera from Rune Factory 1.
Well, it's a little rough around the edges I guess...
This somehow has a better and more understandable plot than Destiny or Anthem.
What is this game even
"I didn't read it the first time" HAHAHA
this is the hot garbage that I love
What am I watching.
I kinda like the music tbh
Can't help but wonder... where did AuthorBlues get his t-shirt from. Important questions must be answered!
You can find it at Target if you're still looking! I actually own one myself.
I have the same shirt! I think I got it at Target, or maybe a different similar store.
Hoshi Wo Miru Hito?
It it me or does Dark Volt look like a Pokémon?
I own that shirt its a cool shirt
I have the same Sonic shirt!
Uwu
I have bought worse games for more than $2.
This game looks awful
Awfully good
So bad its good
