Yes I will admit I would’ve loved being able to actually make connections with more people and staying in an environment for longer, but the brotherly love and the exciting story is amazing. My opinion 4. Lis True colors I actually like this game a lot and i think it's overhated. It might not be as emotional as the others but it's still realistic and i like how some segments of it are just dedicated to having fun + the setting is beautiful. Although i think alexs relationship with ryan feels empty i really enoyed romancing steph, she's definitely the best love interest in the entire franchise and every part of their relationship was adorable. The whole time traveling mechanic was perfect, the setting my favorite, the soudtrack amazing and the overral relationship between max and chloe was what i loved the most. It had some flaws here and there with dialogues and graphics but nothing too major. The overral plotline was so emotional it just feels right for this game to be at the top of my ranking
@@illanifletcher4306 Mine too, people need to look ast political messages and focus on the main focus of the story, which in this case, is a story about Sean and Daniel trying to find their way after their Dad's death
BtS was so dumb. Glad it was #4. Worst dialogue of the series. The worst part was when Chloe goes to Rachel’s house, and Rachel goes upstairs to pack, leaving you to fend for yourself with Rachel’s parents. Every piece of dialogue is you speaking with one of the parents, cracking a bad joke, getting an awkward reaction from either the mother or father, rinse and repeat. Read the room Chloe. These people are very serious people and don’t have a sense of humor. Stop cracking awful jokes 🤦♂️
I agree with your ranking, I guess when I played BTS it was more exciting because at that time I loved LIS1 and I didn't complain too much about the game, but once the other games came out, BTS ended up under them, but i have a good memory of it and I don't hate that game at all, but I doubt that the developers have created the game with the expectation of being as good as the others, for me it's an expansion of the Lore and I greatly appreciate it, just like the DLCs
My personal top 4: 4. LiS 2 Idk what goes wrong in this situation. I like the concept of two brothers that try to find their better life. But plot is so much unpolished. From the scene with killed Esteban, everything go wrong. Cops never shoot until they see an aggression on them or others. But in this game this just a words. I understand that nationality plays role here. But it feels so wrong to me…. One more reason is the aim of all game. To get to Mexico. I feel so wrong, that every episode have own location with characters, and all of them not really opened to us (except key characters of course). And even if characters are opened to us, they almost never return in next episodes. I hope that someone will get my point😅 3. LiS: True Colors Game is ok, but they overrate Alex’s ability. She not only see the aura of other people. She can “travel” in time, with this ability thanks to reading other minds (Not only in present moment but also in past) Plot was not so much impressive, but it actually works, especially with game for Ethan. 2. LiS: Before the Storm Honestly, I doubt between 2 and 3 places. In this game, I expected to see more pre-history of Rachel Amber. How she start talk with Nathan, how she start date with Frank. But we got almost nothing, only that we have was Rachel’s end in photo room. Plot was a bit a mess. Don’t understand the point of Rachel’s family story. And don’t understand a fire in the forest caused by Rachel. 1. Of course LiF It’s so sad that I met this game only in late 2023. I think if I met this masterpiece earlier, this would impacted my life even more. With this game with strong message into, I overlook my sight of the world’s rules and laws. Plot, music, concept of time travelling. Everything fit so well in this puzzle. (I like music from all games of course). Personally I don’t have experience to play it now, I only see the walkthrough on YT. But I think this would be unforgettable experience for me, I’m sure. (Sorry for my English, for me as a Ukrainian, it’s hard to express my feelings in this language). Good day for everyone❤
I love this franchise so much. It just feels so alive. Especially the music of LiS1, 2 and True Colors really captured the spirit of this series. I never thought that a video game could shock me like the plot twist about Mr. Jefferson in the 4th episode of LiS1 did. Only Before the Storm I actually kinda disliked. I agree with you on this one, BTS just doesn't have real consequences and after the final choice which was always very important in the other games, I was very dissapointed about the insignificance of it. So, BTS is my 4th place. My 3rd Place would actually go to True Colors. I enjoyed it through every episode, the LARP-session felt so alive, I was just happy to play that beautiful game. The visuals are by far the best in the series due to it being the newest installment of the series. It was a great game but the climax at the end just wasn't to emotional for me. Alex was a great character though and her chemistry with Steph was gourgeus. The "Emotion Power" was fun and the dance with Duckie was very wholesome. My 2nd place goes to LiS2. I loved the road Trip concept which created a completely new feeling. While True Colors was heavily inspired by LiS1 which I didn't really mind, LiS2 tried something new for what I have respect. The music was such a banger in my opinion, best music in the entire saga, the "Into the Woods" soundtrack always gives me chills and "Blood Brother/Lone Wolf" is also a masterpiece. I enjoyed the plot most of the times, Ep.2 was the weakest in my opinion because of its very slow nature, but I could play all the other episodes with joy. Davids cqmeo was pretty cool too. The end was the best end of a Life is Strange game in my opinion because of its diversity. If you raised Daniel well, he will do the right things in the end and listen to you. Also, Sean is so great, he is the big brother I would love to have myself and just such a tough guy, still caring for his little brother. And the 1st place goes to LiS1. A classic which will probably never be beaten by Dontnod ever again. From Max to Chloe to the theme song to the plot, everything worked for me perfectly. Overall, I have to give credits to Jonathan Morali's fantastic soundtracks. Thanks to his music, and a part of us lives in that franchise, which we all so love. I have to talk about Mark Jefferson, my favorite villain in the series. He covered his f*cked up mind and motives really well in the first few episodes and I was completely shocked by the end of Ep.4. I even wondered after Kate's attempted suicide, why I should blame Jefferson for it, but after my 2nd playthrough I blamed him just out of pettyness😂. Overall, Life is Strange changed my life and it became by far the best story telling video game franchise I know. I would be interested if any of you guys agree with my list. I would be very greatful for every response because it took me 30mins to finish this comment. See you guys👋
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s been really nice actually to see LIS 2 get some love in these comments. Although it’s number 3 on my list, I think it’s really underrated, and unfairly maligned. Can definitely see what you mean about the climax of True Colors as well, it’s definitely a lot smaller than anything else, and that’s definitely what I mean when I talk about how much lower the stakes are. But yeah, can’t be the original! Glad to hear it affected you like it did me, it’s such a special game. :)
I honestly not sure how to rank the games? To each their own, I have my praises and criticisms that all make the games too complicated for me to rank. Here are my takes for each game. Life Is Strange - Story and characters are mostly solid. Max and Chloe will always feel like the main characters of the series to me no matter how much the series discontinues their story. But my main criticisms come from its visual quality, animations, and lipsyncing. All of which makes that game feel like something out of the 6th generation of gaming. PS2, Xbox, GameCube, all that. No matter how much the game was made on a budget, that's just how I feel. Doesn't help the endings can be compared to PB and J. Where one ending undoes the entire game and the other let's you ride off into the sunset at the expense of innocents. Say no more. Life Is Strange: Before the Storm - I feel like this game improved from the first in some ways. Really thought the Chloe and Rachel dynamic was a job well done. Especially its second episode. I also didn't mind the family secret plot line either. However, it's end result left too much to be desired for me as well. At least there's slightly more ending variety this time and the visuals with the animations are minimalistically better than the first. Life Is Strange 2 - In some regard, there are some drastic improvements from the first game on a technical level. From the visuals, animations, and most of all the choice and consequence variety that I felt was nearly on par with a Quantic Dream game. There's now a catch to each ending of the game depending on how you raised Daniel. Making the final episode my favorite in the series. However, it still sucks to see some characters like Lyla get wasted after one episode since it is a Road movie after all. At least Cassidy and Finn made up for some of their potential for me in episode 3. And as much as Sean and Daniel did grow on me throughout the game as well, they could never topple Max and Chloe either. Not to mention how overly ambitious the game became with the development and release time it took for watch episode. Therefore making LIS2 an ambitious albeit flawed sequel. Life Is Strange: True Colors - Now this is the game I feel gets the best of both worlds with almost no half measures left behind. A single setting with characters you stay with throughout the game for the proper development they're needed as well as the best visuals and more choice and consequence variety alongside the former that once again results in a bigger ending variety too. Something LIS1 couldn't have and something LIS2 wanted to have but couldn't have them both. And best of all, made Steph an even better character than she was in BTS. Taking most of the likeability she had in that game and tuning it up to 11 for TC. But then again, I don't think any new LIS protagonist will ever stand above Max. Not even Alex. Crossing my heart Deck Nine brings her back for the next game as a proper sequel to LIS1 as leaks from long ago suggested. That is my two cents on each game why they're too complicated for me to rank. Thank you 😉
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Interesting perspective, I think as a series the LiS games have always tried to keep evolving little by little, and we’re at an exciting point now where I can’t wait to see what comes next

I am honestly so happy to see somebody who thinks BtS is the worst of the franchise. Not that I WANT to dislike BtS, but it is just so disappointing and lukewarm to me, and I can never get past the notion that it doesn't need to (arguably shouldn't) exist. It has good moments and some great ideas but it ultimately just misses so hard. I hate to see people beating LiS2 into the ground as a disgrace on the franchise while placing BtS on or near the same level as the first game. I'm happy to see people finding such meaning in the game but I simply cannot relate Either way, great video all around :) It's just nice to see someone who understands my perspective a bit
@@onyxtheowl1001 Nightbus by Jonathan Morali! It’s never got an official streaming release I don’t think but it’s part of the game’s original score, and it plays at the end of the first episode
This is an accurate list. BTS was a predictable story and no powers, it was awesome to see Chole and Rachel though. LIS2 was a good game but the story wasn't my favorite. LIS and LISTC are easily the ones that should be debated for the top spot. I mean it's the game that started it all with amazing characters, the most interesting power Imo and a great story but it does suffer with time travel plot holes. For me True Colors is the best. The music, characters, the power is my least favorite and I was doubtful on it but I was pleasantly surprised!
I LOVED your video style because u are giving your opinion without hate. But I really disagree, with all respect, because the game of my life (so far) is life is strange 2. I played life is strange 2 at the pandemic when I was just a scarad and confunsed boy, and when I played lis 2, and a saw two boys of my same color, Who needed to face the injustices of life and survive, I identified myself AND I learned o lot of things with sean and daniel, I saw that the world was not a paradise like my "world" (my home) was, I saw that there are people who suffer just for being different, in short, I saw the real world. Maybe lis 2 is my favorito game because I played him before the others games, but this game was part of my transition from child to teenager and taught me to be a good person. And i know that the life is strange games have soundtracks from the ultimate paradise, but lis 2 in particularly have a soundtrack that make me rethink in my choices everytime I hear tem. I LOVE lis 1 with all my forças because its a fucking game, but lis 2 have my heart. My list, in the moment, is: Life is strange 2 Life is strange ? ? Obs: I promised myself I wouldn't play lis true colors, but you convinced me to give it a chance :D (so, after play lis true colors I return here and finish this list) Obs 2: I almost always cry listening lis games soundtracks😢 Obs 3: I am brazilian and I am learning english, so ignore my spelling mistakes XD Obs 4: your video is very good(seu video está muito bom)
i dont believe that people put lis 3 in front of lis 2 lis 3 has no bad endings whatever you do it will have basically the same ending and lis 3 chapter 3 we play larp with ethan which is so fucking boring
I can completely understand your opinion but in my own viewpoint I think all of the tragedy Alex went through and all the twists in the game kind of made up for the no bad endings for me at least. I also think it could be that they wanted a bit of a lighter ending to hopefully get more business idk lol
I really loved BTS, I was so hyped that I I wanted to be done with first game so I can play BTS, don’t know why I guess I was 16 y.o that related to the characters Now I look back I think first game is definitely the best, even after 5 years it makes me cry
I totally agree with this list. I identify more with Chloe than I do max, though I used to be introverted like max, I was never acting outwards like Chloe does when she gets angry. Interesting how it speaks to people differently. They’re all very good games, though less so before the storm. Fork Rachel amber
Thank you for the comment! Yeah I know what you mean, I fully get why people like Before the Storm so much, like you say it's just about how each game speaks to people differently. Agree about Rachel too, one of my frustrations about BTS was the fact they presented her and Chloe's relationship as a very generic romance, when they could've done so much more with that. Rachel is manipulative and uses people, and I feel like they could've used that within the story to explore how naieve Chloe is, but sadly they don't...
@@TheGargantuanAppleHMPBTS any time. I mean yeah before the storm could have been so so good if they made the story different, like focusing more on Rachel’s manipulative side, the fact that she cheated repeatedly, how she ended up speaking with psycho teacher. I wanted to see Chloe’s development closer to life is strange. I wanted to love before the storm, but I think it was badly written sadly. I must say though that deck 9 did an amazing job with true colors. I love that game. First life is strange is the best though 😃
I often go back and forth with how I’d rank all the games but I do love all of them. I suppose it would be easier to point out the pros and cons of each game. LiS: Amazing story with equally amazing characters. Lip syncing could be painfully distracting. LiS BTS: Engaging characters and offers further depth. Too short and wasted potential with character history. LiS2: An amazing different take with a great journey. But I’m sorry I just thought Sean made many stupid and reckless choices and Daniel is frustratingly annoying and he made every situation so much worse,. LiS TC: Amazing characters with a beautiful setting. Characters felt kind of underdeveloped and despite being 5 episodes, it still felt too short. Just my opinions on the games and I hope we get many more in the future.
Life is Strange and Life is Strange 2 were awesome imo. Before the Storm was quite boring to me. And True Colors? I couldn't get into this one at all. Boring characters, boring story, boring setting.
@@TheGargantuanAppleHMPBTS That's what I'm saying. LiS and LiS 2 were developed by Dontnod, while Before the Storm and True Colors were developed by Deck Nine. The Dontnod LiS Games are far better to me.

It sucks my opinion
@@darrenjones1413 your opinion isn't valid anyways
Great video! Here's my take on each game:
1. Lis2
2. Lis1
3. TC
4. Captain Spirit
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10. BTS
Thanks! Good to see LIS2 getting some love, very underrated game!
LIS1+BTS>>>
Agreed lis2 will always be my favourite
Bts was okay but tbh if the farewell episode wasn't included it would be lower in my list.
My personal top 4:
4. LiS 2
Idk what goes wrong in this situation. I hope that someone will get my point😅
3. LiS: True Colors
Game is ok, but they overrate Alex’s ability. She not only see the aura of other people. She can “travel” in time, with this ability thanks to reading other minds (Not only in present moment but also in past) Plot was not so much impressive, but it actually works, especially with game for Ethan.
2. LiS: Before the Storm
Honestly, I doubt between 2 and 3 places.
1. Of course LiF
It’s so sad that I met this game only in late 2023.
Life Is Strange -
Story and characters are mostly solid.
Life Is Strange: Before the Storm -
I feel like this game improved from the first in some ways.
Life Is Strange 2 -
In some regard, there are some drastic improvements from the first game on a technical level.
Life Is Strange: True Colors -
Now this is the game I feel gets the best of both worlds with almost no half measures left behind.
Lis2 is my top
1. Life Is Strange 2
2. Life is Strange Remastered
3. Life is Strange True Colors
4. Life is Strange Before The Storm Remastered

Haven’t played LIS true colors yet but here’s my current ranking
1.Before the storm
2.BTS farewell
3.Life Is Strange
4.Life is Strange 2
I love each of these games. Can’t wait to play true colors
is this the best game order list i bought all life is strange on my xbox wanna play it in the right order
1 Life is Strange
2 Life is Strange Befor the Storm
3 Life is strange 2
4 Life is Strange Remastered
5 Life is strange true colors
I’d say that’s the best yeah! Although Before the Storm is a prequel, it’s best you play the first game first to get the context for everything
I'm happy to see people finding such meaning in the game but I simply cannot relate
Either way, great video all around :)
It's just nice to see someone who understands my perspective a bit
i need to know the song name playing when you introduce lis2
I prefer 2 over true colors but I enjoy your takes
My list, in the moment, is:
Life is strange 2
Life is strange
?
?
Obs: I promised myself I wouldn't play lis true colors, but you convinced me to give it a chance :D (so, after play lis true colors I return here and finish this list)
Obs 2: I almost always cry listening lis games soundtracks😢
Obs 3: I am brazilian and I am learning english, so ignore my spelling mistakes XD
Obs 4: your video is very good(seu video está muito bom)
Thanks for the comment and sharing your thoughts too, it’s lovely to hear how much you love LIS 2, great to know that one’s really appreciated
i dont believe that people put lis 3 in front of lis 2 lis 3 has no bad endings whatever you do it will have basically the same ending and lis 3 chapter 3 we play larp with ethan which is so fucking boring
I can completely understand your opinion but in my own viewpoint I think all of the tragedy Alex went through and all the twists in the game kind of made up for the no bad endings for me at least. I also think it could be that they wanted a bit of a lighter ending to hopefully get more business idk lol
Life is strange 2 is the best❤
I really loved BTS, I was so hyped that I I wanted to be done with first game so I can play BTS, don’t know why I guess I was 16 y.o that related to the characters
Now I look back I think first game is definitely the best, even after 5 years it makes me cry
That’s cool, nice to hear BTS connected with you!
Before the storm has the best soundtrack IMO
Does anyone know the track playing at 7:48?
It’s called Night Bus by Jonathan Morali, it’s from the original score for the game :)
Double exposure?
Thanks for sharing, and yes I agree, here’s to many more stories from the LIS world in the future!
Life is Strange and Life is Strange 2 were awesome imo. Before the Storm was quite boring to me. And True Colors? I couldn't get into this one at all. Boring characters, boring story, boring setting.
Interesting!
I definitely think the Dontnod games are the most consistently high quality affairs…
@@TheGargantuanAppleHMPBTS
That's what I'm saying. LiS and LiS 2 were developed by Dontnod, while Before the Storm and True Colors were developed by Deck Nine. The Dontnod LiS Games are far better to me.
True Colors is honestly the worst.
100%
No shade to telltale but dontnod did it better.
I think its 2 1 true colors and before the storms last
