E
Making it right now!
I made this tonight for the first time. Truly amazing and absolutely scrumptious! This will definitely go into our regular rotation. I love simple recipes and this one is fun. And Suzy, it’s so apparent that you loved your uncle Sammy…I could hear it in your voice when you talked about him. Great job keeping up on a great family recipe. Definitely an honor to him.
Looks delish , I can smell those great caramelized onions in this video. 😋
This is FOR ME!!!! lol -- Thank you Uncle Sammy!!! 💕 Looks delicious and I can't WAIT to make this one!!! 💯🙌🏾

Looks amazing!
Sounds wonderful!!
Oh my goodness, that looks DELICIOUS! Thank you!
Oh wow that looks so good, can’t wait!
Holy cow! This chicken is delicious! Thank you for sharing!
For browning onion or meat I like to use olive oil or a lighter colored oil for a better sear and better browning. Extra version olive oil is mostly used for dressings etc. It does not have a very high smoking point.
so good.
Yum! Making this easy one tonight! Along with horta ❤ Thank you for another delicious recipe! P.S. I love your dress!!
I will be trying this one for my Sunday dinner. Thank you.
Looking forward to this one 😋

No such thing as too much onion ever! ❤❤❤
Ever!
I agree!
Made this for my wife and grown kids last night and served it with Bulgur wheat. They loved it. The onions took longer than I thought it would but was worth it.

Huh…. 🤔 that actually does look pretty good, I’ll bet it’s quite tasty 😋 I’ve had some grilled onion cheddar burgers before, but this onion themed recipe you shown has somehow take the whole desire for onions and chicken to the next level especially to the point where your presentation and tutorial for making this onion dish has even got me feeling pretty hungry for onions and chicken combined into a hearty meal fit for a king
Excellent tutorial. Trying today with shallots and chicken tenders! With flour tortillas 😅
As an onion lover this is a must try. Looks so delicious!
Can't wait to hear what you think!
This looks amazingly delicious love me some good onions
Me too - you can never go wrong with caramelized onions 🙌
so easy to watch.....
I'd be tempted to add a small amount of Creme Fraiche at the end to make the sauce more creamy.
Yummy ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome delicious mmmmm 👍
I can smell those onions and they look delicious. I would leave the thigh’s skin on.
New subscriber here.
Happy to be here again 😊
I am happy you are here too! Thanks for watching!
“Like I said” imma make it tomorrow 😊
Perfect! Just bought large quantity of onions on sale. Looks delicious😋... but I'll have to cut back the sodium by half. Will try this recipe next week. Thanks for posting😊
Enjoy!! And yes, you can definitely alter the amount of seasoning in any of my recipes 🙌
God bless your uncle Sammy 🙏🏻❤
MMM 😋😋😋
The smell of onions cooking is absolutely heaven!
It really is! Nothing better!
It really is! Nothing better!
It lQQks AMAZING!...I guess the only 'concern' (for lack of a better word) would be...the potentially-lingering Onion BREATH afterwards! lollll Although, I guess it would work if the other person/people had also eaten it...then EVERYONE would have *onion breath* ;)~
Thanks for posting/sharing! I enjoy getting your daily emails that ALWAYS contain such WONDERFUL recipes!...I've made a few so far -- not to disappoint! They've ALL been awesome!...the next one i plan on doing this evening is: "Chicken and Asparagus Skillet Dinner" - CAN'T wait to try it! ~ Cheers, Diana :) P.S. I also wanted to say that I really enjoy watching your vids - love your style!
Lol! Yes, at least everyone will be in it together! But it's not too bad since the onions are cooked down so much 😊 I am so glad you are enjoying my recipes and videos - thank you so much for your support! I hope you enjoy the Chicken and Asparagus - it's a good one!
This sounds wonderful and can be adapted to someone who only has themselves to cook for. But I have a question is all that salt important to the success of the recipe my problem is that I have to be very careful of my salt intake for health reasons
I am going to try this but not all that salt thanks for your recipe.
Are you using a cast iron skillet specifically for the browning process?
I like the cast iron for this recipe, but you can use any pan you have!
With all this salt, did Uncle Sammy die of a heart attack? It sounds really good. Trying tonight.
Your top is so cute. Where did you get it?
Hello my friend you look tired today or.... are you sad? hope all is well...Thank you for this recipe 🎉
I'd say thier Spanish onion..milder than normal ones
I tried this recipe but I'll leave the salt out next time as my husband and I found it too salty.
I can't imagine the taste being very nice because the only seasoning is salt. No garlic, no pepper, nothing. I'll probably add those when I make it. I know onions and the stock will add flavor, but still... need to amp it up.
Looks delicious, but my blood pressure is spiking at all the salt!
She put a ton of salt in the onions and on the chicken. I am interested in the recipe, but minus the salt. Wow
So much salt ..
For 5 onions and a large amount of chicken???? Not really.
Looks great but too much salt.
“Soooo much salt!!”. First of all, kosher salt and table salt are not the same. Second of all, no one said you had to put that exact amount in or even make it.
A lot of you only use cheap table salt, don't seasoning your food properly, and it shows. Good quality large flake salt is more visible. It's not that much salt for the amount of food being prepared. Also, sodium is an essential mineral for nearly every bodily function so 🤫.
😢96😢😅😊p5
There's not a ton of seasoning in this recipe after adding a tablespoon of salt.
You can always alter the amount of seasonings in any of my recipes 😊
What am I missing? Because I'm Not getting 5 ingredients
I'm getting 3????
1): Chicken
2): Onions
3): Chicken broth.
4. Salt
And oil
@samscarletta7433 Sorry but I don't find that to be one of the ingredients that's given. You have to season your Chicken regardless if it's with salt pepper or garlic. If you don't the Chicken's is gonna taste extremely bland.
I've watched the cooking network all the time and salt and pepper and a little oil to It's a rule of thumb to season your meat plus you need that oil to cook it up., so I wouldn't not call that like something spectacular or different Ingredient. But thank you for your help and response. Happy cooking 🍳
Salt and Olive oil
She looks delicious 😋
