@@sebastiangibson9671 No they don't. You see 1 that sucks and because you absorb negativity like a shamwow you will ignore every crossover that is good to focus on that 1 that sucks.
“Fans have their expectations to high”. That just sounds like an excuse to make subpar shows and films
Microsoft fan boys in hysterics. They gave the okay to a show where John Halo walks around with his ass out most of the time over this. Crazy work.
the doom slayer x master chief crossover is something that's been talked about in online spaces for actual years, what on earth was that one guy getting into a fight with charlie about lmfao?
Like other people have said, there's a good chance it was just someone being a contrarian. Sure, people have been able to lie since the dawn of time, but I feel like the sheer number of contrarians and people stating opinions they don't actually believe just to tilt others _skyrocketed_ from around the mid-2010s to now. Thinking about it too much is like a 'Develop Intense Misanthropy Any% Speedrun' challenge.

The people arguing with him this was a good move are actually so dumb wtf 😂
What’s really crazy is that Microsoft owns both of these IPs, so it’s not an IP problem. It’s an out-of-touch management problem
The Unreal Tournament episode went beyond hard.
didnt hear about this til now thanks for shouting that out. the music good like the og's?
Microsoft have all the resources and IPs and developers and yet they do not use them well
They like any business put the least in to the cheapest things they can which will make the most. But if you ever produce anything potentially using any of those things they never plan to use ever again, they'll copyright troll you in to the ground.
Why in 2025 is anyone still surprised that MSFT makes every wrong decision when it comes to Halo?
It’s really not the wrong decision they just had a shit show from paramount on top of secret level falling off because of disappointing episodes but also their attempt at a concord episode why would Microsoft want to front the blame for another shitty halo thing? If it did happen and was shit it would be the same thing from the paramount show halo fanboys shitting themselves over how trash MS is and how dirty they did halo just save themselves the time from the episode and deal with the whining fans now instead of later
@@jonroll They have literally nothing to lose from a one-off 23-minute episode, and it's an easy cross-promotion for the upcoming DOOM & Halo games. It's probably some licensing rights thing in the end but a missed opportunity nonetheless.
@@PowderedToastMan3 look at the split just from the supposed refusal and then think about if it was even mid not even actually bad the blowback from the keyboard warriors it is not worth it
Not surprised, but still frustrated.
Bungie did such a good job that people are still able to get worked up over this shit after 15 years. It’s sad.
@jonroll thar reputation is already in the gutter. What else can hurt it now.
“NO! ITS MY IP TO SIT ON AND DO NOTHING WITH!”
Another example of rich people being the dumbest of us
Fun fact: Halo and Destiny are 2 parallel universes after Marathon Infinity splits the Bungie universe, that's why the stories are parallel and the aliens all resemble each other.
Now that they're both Microsoft IPs they should have went for re-combining Halo like this, in the same way.
No
Officially combining them would be so bad now. Not only is Halo too fragmented, but Microsoft can’t do EITHER IP right.
What’s the point of combining two franchises that nobody is excited about anymore? That’s only adding more shit on the plate for the next poor souls that are hired to try to fix Halo or Destiny.
@@ryatt9365 Sony owns Destiny now, not Microsoft, that's the whole point. Halo was always a direct allusion to generic FPS story structure, but it was Marathon's, which was Bungie's take on early FPSes/Doom clones, so it's weirdly fitting to swap out Marathon with Doom and see what Halo would have looked like if it was based directly on Doom 2 instead of Marathon Inifinity.
Destiny's Logo is Master Chief's crotch plate, lol
Microsoft really hit us with the “This shit fucking sucks, actually!”
Still waiting on them to bring back the transformers cybertron games since they own activision now.
Charlies chat is 100x more smooth brained than XQC's and Asmongolds combined
“We’re Microsoft. We hate money AND our customer base.”
Thanks, now I'm a bit more sad being reminded the Ip I used to love is owned by clueless people who couldn't agree to a good Halo project even if their life depends on it...
They did a Playstation episode with helldivers sackboy and God of war but Microsoft Doom Halo crossover Ohh no way we cant do that
Microsoft is like a rich kid with no friends.
I 100% think doing this crossover episode would have been the right call. Even if it was fanservice to the max, it would have been fun as hell. Also.... WHAT'S WRONG WITH FANSERVICE?
Microsoft won't say yes to anything unless it's subscription based.
Charlie: "Valve doesn't want people talking about Half-Life"
Valve: *releases a new game set in the Half-Life universe and released a documentary about HL2's development on the games 20th anniversary (as well as updating the game and making HL2 free as well as HL1 during it's anniversary)*
Yeah sure seems like Valve just really wants people to stop talking about Half-Life
That would have been awesome. Why are Microsoft allergic to fun?
They'll put the Master Chief in Fall Guys & Fortnite, but not with Doom Guy? Lowest IQ move of all time.
Secret level was solid. Even to a point where many of which can easily continue into more episode.
Halo needs more animated like stuff and I’m surprised Microsoft never capitalized on that.
Also, Doom is owned by Microsoft, you really would think they would jump at the chance to help write a show that features two of their biggest characters shooting bad guys together, a show they wouldn't even have to pay for to get made.
Microsoft: Nahh, imma do my own thing
5:48 “Valve turned down an Episode on Half Life. That doesn’t surprise me though. Valve just doesn’t want anyone talking about Half Life anymore, they’ve tired of it, they’ve moved on, they’re not making a Half Life 3, they don’t give a fuck, so the last thing they want to do is put it in peoples heads.”
Pure unadulterated cope lol there’s literally been leaks of them working on something Half Life related and the Voice actor for G-Man said there would be “unexpected surprises” this Year while doing G-Man’s Voice, but feel free to deny facts. 😂
why would he cope about them not doing stuff? you think charlie hates the idea of more half life content?
@ no he’s just in denial about it

@@germyforev4495 i think it’s pretty clear Gave feels nostalgic now and feels he owes it to himself and Valve to finish Episode 3.
I already feel robbed, robbed of a helldivers and god of war episode
They literally had them in the teaser poster, but we're literally a cameo in the last episode for a few seconds
you forget they literally hired people who hate Halo, and who tf wants to work with 343 or halo studios period when they have people like that on their team.
Please tell me if im wrong but didn't a few employees from 343 or other different studio pitched a game similar to helldivers II but with ODST a few years ago? but they got rejected by microsoft claiming it was a terrible idea and would be a failure . . . Now they must be regretting it seing the overwhelming success Helldivers II had
Fuck that would of been cool, come down from the orbital shock pods and first thing you do is get out and run and guns blazing, that would of been cool but no corporate is allergic to cool ideas and would rather shoe horn in political correctness.
Why is “fan service” a derogatory term, if I am a fan and the IP serves me something I wanted or expected, I’d be happy with that for once
It usually just means half naked women in my experience.
It’s mostly MISGUIDED fan service that people get frustrated by.
“Look! People love the minions! Let’s make a whole movie about them!”
There’s good and bad.
At this point, I'm convinced that whoever is in charge of greenlighting this is actually someone whose family was murdered by Microsoft and now this along with the Halo TV show was their revenge
Microsoft didn’t wanna taint doom with a bad series .
Imagine seeing Doom guy rip an Elite in half.
Now continue to imagine it, because it's probably never going to happen. Especially now.
Microsoft: "We can't chance having Halo look good because then we'll actually have to try and deliver on that"

Number 6348th reason why I hate Microsoft
So sad seeing the state of Halo when for so long growing up it was a staple in gaming and what got me to love Xbox as a kid. Still have some hope, it wasn’t my favorite game franchise for nothing.
Microsoft is the master at catching Ls

Meanwhile the Gman voice actor makes a cryptic recording in Half Life character and Valve doesn't deny its not a new half life game coming. lol
4:50 - No, the most exciting news was the cancelled Halo Megabloks game😅
Microsoft:"Good press? The hell is that? I'm too busy nuking all my goodwill and closing studios that don't deserve it."
Crossovers are literally made for fan service. Charlie's chat gives me psychic damage.
My head hurts thinking on what we've missed out
personally if I had made my personality being an Xbox shill I would have gone off to live like a hermit years ago. There are still disturbingly large pockets of them on twitter who have convinced themselves that Microsoft is playing 9D chess by pivoting to a multiplatform style, or how nobody even cares about Sony's singleplayer franchises, or how Game Pass is the future. You even had one in your chat at the end 😂😂 as if nobody plays Fallout or TES.
Todd *was* in the chess club maybe he figured out the 9D thing by now.
If they made a video of those two duking it out... I would watch a thousand times...
Charlie's viewers take the trophy home in "how can we prove to be stupid this time?" award
This is a travesty we've lost something genuinely beautiful
Going through the Microsoft IP list is one way to determine your age. I remember and played a lot of those old games.
My favorite Halo related content in recent memory is the Halo: Reach Crossover in Gears 5
And I heard rumors of Microsoft putting Master Chief and Marcus Fenix in Black Ops 6
Edit: i would've loved Doom Guy in Gears 5 as well, but the DLC was most likely already decided before Microsoft purchased Bethesda
RainbowFlag MasterChief: "yessssssss top1 priority!" - Microsoft
DOOM guy + MasterChief: "toxic masculinity!" - Microsoft

Back in the day a buddy of mine was ranked 4th in the Crimson Skies leaderboard. He remembers it as first though.
I can't wait for the Master Chief vs Doomguy remaster from Death Battle to do mad numbers.
All it took was "hey can we do a master chief episode?" "Ya do it."
Instead of "Well...."
Halo never truly recovered after Bungie split from Microsoft.
The Concord episode was actually solid.
Crazy how the biggest halo news from last year was Master chief coming back to Fortnite.
I'd LOVE to see a new Tenchu game and I think it's only a matter of time before *From Software* revives that series. Heck, "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice" started out as a new installment in the series very early in its development.
Same. We had a bazillion Assasins creed Games and Sekiro before a another crazy ninja game.
Everyone's arguing over Halo and I'm over here just jamming to the Nier music
Oh, is that what was playing in the background? I was wondering.
Microsoft is a child who tried some bad pizza and is therefore never gonna try pizza again
If the correct executive doesnt suggest an idea, nothing gets done. Ive had to learn that the hard way in the corperate world. If the right people dont get a kickback then the idea dies.
Admittedly, I have only seen the 40k and the Armored Core episodes so far, but if that is a broad guideline to the quality we could have expected from a Doom/Halo crossover then I weep for the lost potential.
Does Charlie play Nier OST in the background during streams?
The only scenario I can think of is if the idea was posed before the Halo tv show aired. So they still thought they had a banger in the works
How are there so many that actually support Microsofts decision 😔
