Interesting lie. Of course we all know He-Man's first appearance was in the mini comic included with their first figure in '82. Then eventually the cartoon was made to accompany the toys. ThunderCats has absolutely nothing to do with MOTU.
@@Chalor. Yep... As a matter of fact, the "He-Man" toyline was only set-up by Mattel because of the movie "Conan The Barbarian" with Arnold Schwarzenegger... When Mattel realized the scale of realistic gore (and sexual content), instead of what they thought was supposed to be just "fantasy violence", they pulled out from making a toyline for that movie, and had to come up with a marketing ploy for the factory production lines and figure molds and stuff they'd already bought and paid for. Hence the cartoon (and comics that came with the figures). That's why there's varying origins and storylines for different characters in it's early days. They didn't get everything "down-pat" right away lol...
@@sarlaccstapeworm990 Now I remember some of the stuff regarding Conan the Barbarian, but not to the degree that you just mentioned.....wow, that's exciting stuff. I don't even think the He-Man episode from The Toys That Made Us went over everything you mentioned. No wonder why they used the Big Jim jungle tiger for Battle Cat and Panthor, 'cause there weren't any giant cats in Conan. If things worked out totally different, I'd wonder how a built from scratch Battle Cat buck would've looked like....definitely 5 or 6 points of articulation at least.

The fact that he was on par (power wise) with literally ANYTHING that D.C. or Marvel ever created, just made a 7 year old me giddy as hell!😂👍

He-man would absolutely kill Lion-O. Sorry to break that too ya man. He's OP as heck. I disagree with him apparently "dying" at the end of this cartoon. He's so strong, and the power sword is so unbreakable (seriously, that's the one storyline filmation never did...the Power sword has never been broken or "depowered") that he'd cut through the Sword of Omens and through Lion-O (the Sword of Omens has been broken a few times in the original cartoon).
