I love this video. Please keep making amazing videos! Your laugh is very sweet. I do not enjoy romantasy at all but love a good romance subplot as it reminds me of the happiness my wife and I shared. That said, I 100% agree with you that even if there are soulmates, etc - romance realistically, a lot of times, isn't not so straight forward. My wife and I knew each other for two years before dating and during the first year and a half of knowing each other, we hated each other. That then blossomed into friendship then into romance. And then we dated for a few years this got married. Anyways, I really loved the video, you have a very down to earth personality!
I have to agree with you on Robin Hobb, the whole book series that entire world was pure, genius, and there, romance was very realistic. I could see that stuff happening, because a lot of it was the kind of real relationships that we in this world have. L O L Brandon Sanderson is a wonderful writer, and I want to state that in both letters. But he does not have a concept of Romance or how people really should even get together. It’s almost as if he’s dysfunctional, but you have to love his books, they’re so in-depth, and they are so attention grabbing. I don’t think I’ve ever been bored with a Sanderson book ever. The magician one, I read it, but it was so long ago, and it’s been too many books in between, I didn’t really notice the romance, now that you actually say it, I kinda see it, but I did not see that when I was actually reading, those books. So thank you so much for this, and I really enjoyed this video.
It’s definitely interesting seeing how different authors handle romance. I wish Sanderson was better at it, but I can live with all the stuff he’s good at.
@@TiffanyRussell yes, his books are just so imaginary, and atmosphere that he uses to paint the picture really kind of Cascade through your mind. It’s easy, so easy to get lost in one of his books. But there is one author that does romance kinda OK, even though I always thought that the romance was a little off. But Michael Murdock was very good at presenting a romance between two characters while the romance was not the entire theme of the book. So that’s something.
Love these recommendations! Agreed 100% with Robin Hobb and the 3rd book romance 🥰. I did love the Mistborn Era 1 romance. Now, you have me intrigued about The Faithful and the Falleb!
I think my favorite part of the romance in Mistborn was in the third book when it’s a lot more solid. The Faithful and the Fallen is Gwynne’s first series, and I’ve heard his writing gets better after it, so I’m really looking forward to starting the next series of his.

I love that you and your wife had an enemy to friends, then friends to lovers story. I hope it lasts a long time.
