I just read six scorched roses based on your rec. Oh my goodness that book is so good. I also would add One Dark Window for the slow burn over two books and I would add Reign and Ruin if you can get into the political aspect then chefs kiss.
I'm not ready to decide my top 10 favorites because i haven't been in this genre for very long. But so far I have really enjoyed The Games Gods Play by Abigail Owens and Throne of the fallen, these books have touched me in a way I will never forget. I loved the book boyfriends and I swooned constantly. The books were in special editions and were very beautiful.
Great list!! I’ve actually read a bunch of these based on your recommendations: Six Scorched Roses (Soooo Awesome!!), Fourth Wing (LOVED!!! Although, I totally agree it Sounded Very young), A Heart of Blood and Ashes (Loved the female character- totally agree that she’s one of my favorite female protagonists ever), From Blood and Ash (changed my whole mindset about Fantasy Romance and how exciting it could be- Hawke is the Best!)-although I do have to say that I ended up liking the Shadow in the Ember even more bc of the female character…. I know, not a popular opinion! 😅, Spark of the Everflame (my new favorite series!! ❤❤), and of course the ACOTAR series- especially book 2!!!! Thank you for all your hard work putting this list together. My Bookclub neighbor just lent me When the Moon Hatched and I’m psyched to read it this month along with the Throne of Glass series which Another Bookclub friend has! 🎉You’re the Best!! i am currently on the 5th throne of glass series and my god its amazing, i wish i read it sooner but glad i am reading it now. I know what people mean by reading it for the first time

Same, same. I immediately reread the entire series of ACOTAR because I couldn’t leave that world. And then I read a few of the books a third time. I bought some merchandise based on it. It reignited my love of reading which I had set aside for a few years, but I just kept seeing people bring this series up again and again literally everywhere I went on social media. I bought the first book and was like “Ehhh….ok”. It didn’t grab me. But curiosity got the best of me and I purchased the second one. That was it, I was totally hooked. I couldn’t buy the rest of them fast enough.

I just can’t understand why no one is talking about The Broken Kingdoms series. Like…it should be on the list. All the lists. All in all, though, great choices here. I do prefer the story in TOG to ACOTAR, but character wise the ACOTAR ‘cast’ is way more fun. ❤️
