      Robert Lee Pearce
I agree that the first 3 albums were the best ones, and I also bought and liked Rock and Roll Over. On Destroyer, I only liked the radio played trax, Shout it Out Loud, Beth, and Detroit Rock City, but never bought the CD. Love Gun and Christine were good songs from the Love Gun CD, again I only heard the radio play trax. After that I liked Ace's Rock Soldiers, and New York Groove got a little radio play but not one of my favorites by Ace. Paul was a great song writer, but Ace's Lead solos is what I loved about Kiss the most. Now I pay $70 for an Ace Frehley show , and would never pay $500 to see Kiss. Paul and Gene get too critical of Ace's drug use, and rehearsal no shows. Who cares that Ace missed the European Tour and they had to cancel on the reunion tour? The Kiss barbie dolls and memorabilia are childish. I'm glad I gave Paul's interviews and documentaries a chance, and he's probably the most articulate member. I was wrong thinking that Ace wrote the best Kiss songs, but Paul did. I still think that Ace's lead solos make the first songs legendary instead of pretty good. I think Aces laughter on the Tom Snyders show is hilarious, and I'm glad Paul thinks it's at little funny. But seriously, I would have thought he was on LSD. Most drunks are totally obnoxious, but he came off only buzzed to me. Its cool to make new songs, but not just to make money. They could live off the original songs concerts and do fine. I think the Peter Criss comments that he's not the drummer he was and was never a John Bonham drummer are cruel. Thats the beauty of the early drum Trax, any semi-good drummer can duplicate them. the intro to Strutter is a classic opening drum riff. I could've lived without hearing the Ace dick stories when he was intoxicated. Peace

I got KISS on my 7th birthday in 1974. I ran to my room and played it over and over and over using a hockey stick as a guitar.
I did chores in order to get money to buy each KISS album when they were released all the way up to Unmasked.
After Peter and Ace left, KISS lost the magic for me. But those first six studio albums, KISS, Hotter Then Hell, Dressed To Kill, Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over and Love Gun were an important part of my youth. Alive! and Alive II were also awesome as well.

What Ace Failed to mention and maybe because he really has a hard time remembering, But Kiss had most of that Material for their first three album shortly after they started. Some of those songs were actually written by some of the original Wicked Lester Members.
Ace contributed to three songs that he gave to Peter Criss to sing and two he gave to Gene to sing, Not to mention how he also came up with that really cool intro to Rock Bottom.
Those early Ace songs were 1. Getaway, 2. Mainline, 3. Strange Ways, That Peter did,
1.Cold Gin & 2.Parasite that Gene did vocals for.
Strange Ways should have been played on the Alive album as it's one of the Best tunes on Hotter Than Hell. But in order to do that, one song would have had to have been discarded to make room for it. I believe the album would have been better if they had let go of C'mon and Love Me & Replaced it with Strange Ways.
Kiss Destroyer wasn't a solid Kiss Album, as Ace didn't play on Sweet Pain or God of Thunder on that album. He was replaced for several tunes in the studio with Dick Wagner, Alice Coopers lead guitar player and the creator of the Welcome To My Nightmare album. He's an awesome guitar player. He also did an amazing job on those kiss tracks, but it wasn't Ace. Also they received a lot of songs for that album that they in fact didn't actually write.
They did have quite a few tunes they had been working on at that time and decided to release those on a different Album a few short months later, and that album became Rock And Roll Over.
Peter Criss played on every kiss recording except Love Gun, because he was having trouble with that tune in the studio. By the time Dynasty was being recorded, Peter Criss was recovering from a car crash that he had and Kiss hired Anton Fig for those recording sessions, However, Peter did play the drums on one song off of that Album, and that song was Dirty Livin'. Every other track on that album was Anton Fig on the drums.
Peter only played drums on One Track on Psycho Circus, and if it wasn't for Ace insisting on Peter to drum on that tune, Peter would have been completely excluded from that album's recording sessions.
I felt the need to explain the truth here as Kiss never gives the truth, Ace does as best as he can remember, but he also doesn't like to go out of his way to expose all the lies that Paul & Gene constantly spout. Like the BS of how Peter Criss joined. Gene Never mentions how he and Peter met and played together in the studio making recordings before Kiss, or should I say, Wicked Lester was in need of a drummer. Ace also did some early recording in the studio before joining kiss and I bet the story of how the ad that Ace answered was most likely BS too. But the band did put out some great music from 74-78 and even managed to put out the album Dynasty in 79 with great success. & even though that's what Ace called a Kissco Album, it was a great Album. The Song Hard Times was a left over tune from his 1978 solo album. It's one of the best tunes on that album.
So there you have it. A fan that actually knows the truth. It took years to learn what I know. Peace..Joe

I liked Got to Choose the best, Parasite is good and I know Ace wrote it. Hotter than Hell is OK, I like the song Firehouse better. I agree with Ace that Kiss Alive is what made the band popular and I bought their first Kiss album, Dressed to Kill, and Kiss Alive. Me and my hi school buddies cut class, smoked weed to Kiss Alive, and went to the 1976 concert in San Antonio. If I could interview Ace, I would ask him which is his favorite guitar. I have a Gibson Les Paul and Flying V. I've seen Micheal Schenker play leads without a pick and I know I could do it too if I had a real quality guitar. Kinda like riding a Wheelie, I used to get a 10 foot wheelie, but not like the bad motor scooter riders did them.

There is a six member German band called RAMMSTEIN who were inspired by KISS,
big fire, lights and pyrotechnics. They wear a copper color face makeup.
RAMMSTEIN is coming to America in 2021.

No matter who does the interview with any particular rock star they always seem to ask the same lame questions never about the recording process itself which is what many die hard fans would love to know.

Hey, you guys. I’m a fan but not quite the kisstorian any of you are. Is there any truth to the things Ace’s X is saying or is she just kooky or looking for money? .
There private-lives were of little interest to me, I just grew up during the big Kiss craze in the 70’s, still love the material and have a soft-spot for Ace .. he’s probably why most of us picked up a guitar 🎸

She’s trying to do anything and everything to ruin Ace because he dumped her. I don’t believe it at all. As for as truth goes she has no proof she’s all talk.
