I once got an instigating laser musket early game, got it to 5 crank and it could one shot 90% of my enemies, not quite on the level of an instigating Gauss rifle but it was pretty damn awesome
I find the best weapon is a shotgun with the wounding, which makes who ever you shoot bleed for extra 25 dmg over time. the thing is though, it stacks, along with the fact that the effect is for each bullet. dealing huge amounts of damage
Interesting, as the Explosive is dangerous to shoot at enemies within a short distance as the explosion will damage the SS as well. Also, the projectiles of a shotgun are called pellets, slugs or shot (usually buckshot), not bullets.
I too do most of my legendary killing with the wounding shotgun. I call it "My 4GA Death Bleeder". It is awesome. I have a poisoning laser that kills after the hit as well. If you need to farm legendary animals, supermutants, gunners, or raiders and you have a few dollars to spare boy do I have a solution for you. There’s a thing you can buy for your camp in the store. It adds a beacon for your camp that attracts waves of enemies and legendaries do occasionally spawn. Basically just tell your settlers to go to a different settlement and set up a wall with a few bottleneck “air locks” and fill said “air locks” with turrets. You’ll see a legendary every 10 minutes or so. Have fun.
I got an explosive handmade rifle in my last playthrough. It's actually more controllable when it's got a muzzle break instead of the suppressor. It's nice, but not as good as the kiloton rifle, and definitely falls short of the explosive minigun.
I’ve been using my Two Shot Radium Rifle over the Kiloton variant. Is the Kiloton variant actually better or do more people just use it because it’s easier to get?
Point: 2 shot weapons don't do double damage. Per the wiki: "The game adds the base (i.e. unmodded) damage of the gun to its current (modded) damage and then splits the combined damage evenly into two projectiles. For example, an unmodded Hunting rifle does 37 damage, while a .50 cal Hunting rifle does 64. So a Two-shot .50 cal Hunting rifle does 64+37 = 101 damage, resulting in two projectiles hitting for 50.5 each. The damage value displayed in the Pip-Boy is the damage of both projectiles combined." The rounds also don't follow the exact same flight path, it's possible for one of them to miss.
hell, evil taco's statement was taken right from the wiki. two shot does not deal double dmg, except on unmodded guns. hell, if it did, why would there be an instigating? it adds an extra projectile, adds base dmg, and splits the difference. so, an unmodded gun with 50 base dmg, would get a second projectile, and (50+50)/2 = 50. a gun that's modded to 80 dmg would fire two projectiles, it'd be (80+50)/2 = 65 dmg for each projectile. a gun that's modded to be fully automatic to get 30 dmg would be (30+50)/2 = 40 dmg/projectile, making it actually more effective for decreasing dmg, increasing fire rate, than even just two bullets from the base gun. but, it's not double dmg, across the board.
Have you ever seen a Ripper with the chance to stagger Legendary? I found it during playing Far harbour and oh my goodness... your enemies have no chance if they are constantly being staggeref
My last playthrough of Fallout 4 I found an explosive combat shotgun very early and it made the run so freaking easy. At times I thought about storing it just to get the challenge back. Never did though because it's so fun to use lol.
Myself, I never use the explosive effect for the damage...Although it is pretty good there. I like putting it on automatic weapons and shooting the ground near the enemy. One, it makes precise aiming that important. Two, pretty easy to get multiple cripple conditions on any enemy. Basically the same thought process as the kneecapper auto pipe rifle but not just legs. Between those two points it is usually pretty easy to murder the toughest enemies or even toughest groups of enemies you accidently or delibrately encounter.
Pro tip: never fire an instigating nuka-nuke launcher with the increased explosion radius perk indoors. That instigating disciple's blade looks like an effective indoor alternative. "I haven't found any Nuka World farming locations yet" That's strange, since they're all over the place. The Shovel Museum, the farm up by the Red Rocket, and the sheds out back of Dry Rock Gulch have constantly respawning battles between raiders and gunners, super mutants or whatever. There's almost always at least one, sometimes two legendary npc's in these places, and you pretty much just have to go back into Nuka World to reset them.
Explosive minigun: epic way to make swiss cheese of your enemies. Also, theres an easy way to get a Furious effect handmade rifle. Just use the right hand set of dialogue options when meeting Mason for the first time. He rewards you with the Problem Solver, which has the same effect but is a painted variant
Been working on a “beginning saved game” for it, no cheating. Done a lot of repeatable quests and ended up doing a few quests that needed to be completed for perks without needing to continue the main storyline. Some of the nice weapons I got was an Explosive Mini-gun, Explosive Combat Shotgun, Lucky Missile Launcher, Lucky Fat Man and a Two Shot Gauss Rifle.

@@levilock1346 it deals insane amounts of damage for how easy and early it can be obtained. Yes, the explosive handmade rifle or minigun beats it, but those are Not really weapons you can get that early. Spray n pray puts the Game into easy mode after you visit vault 81 until at least Level 40. And .45 ammo is Not that hard to obtain If you Invest a bit into good trading.
eh, you got lucky as shit, but that could be said for most any weapon combo, i guess, just that one's pretty desirable. me, i'd prefer something i might not accidentally kill myself with in two shots.
leeman27534 the best part I already invested in rifleman and demolitions expert. So not only did I get a super op weapon I got the perfect legendary weapon for my build.
I got a bleeding gatling laser that I like more than my explosive shotgun. I'm level 120 something and Mirelurk queens still go down insanely fast with it. The shotgun usually requires a bit more work and yes, I did get the perks for it.
Personally I prefer damage bonus over incendiary. In survival at level 100, I have the AK with 25% damage plus 25% limb damage. With all the damage perks it kills a radioactive death claw in 1 shot sneaking or 3 shots not sneaking. Semi Auto with a barrel magazine, kills majority of raiders in 1 shot to chest not sneaking.
I think you forgot the Kiloton Radium Rifle... At least it's one of the best weapons I've found so far, and also relatively easy to obtain. Also, the ammo is extremely inexpensive and easily obtainable. I'm still relatively early in the game atm, with the radiation damage, plus the explosive damage and the fact that the base damage is higher than a normal radium rifle... Idk, it just seems really powerful to me. I'm kind of annoyed that I haven't found anything better so far lol. I decided to go the 'rifles' route, so I'm basically limited to non-automatic rifles atm. fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Kiloton_Radium_rifle
It’s best with commando, but either way it’s good. The demolition expert perk maxed adds 30 extra damage per hit instead of 15. Area of effect is brutal.
eh, even with the two shot, my kiloton radium rifle's matching its 91dmg with a powerful automatic receiver, and gets 15 explosive dmg and 100 radiation dmg per shot. two shot just isn't as good as some people make it out to be. on a really high dmg weapon, instigating is better, on really low dmg weapons, especially faster ones, adding some sort of bonus dmg is better, explosive's the best, though can be fatal. two shot actually does do well on the stronger weapons that have really high base damage, and high fire rate, especially rifles that tend to have automatic receivers that lower dmg and give better fire rates, cause the added dmg is still the base, it doesn't lower, so evens out to a higher total than double what it would've been without two shot, unlike what would work on like a gauss rifle, where two shot is only like 1.4X dmg because the gun gets so much better upgrades. but, radium rifles seem better overall than combat rifles, so even the two shot doesn't really make it better, just about equivalent. until you factor kiloton radium rifle's explosive and radiation dmg, as well.
I have gotten two explosive combat shotguns. I can confirm they are incredibly powerful. I got my first one around elvel 10ish and I can personally confirm it is pretty OP.
"It's light because it dosen't weigh much", "It can attack quickly because it's fast" You need to script your stuff man. Have someone else read it, and make sure you're not doing this.
Some personal favorites of mine: Two Shot/Wounding Laser Musket and Two-Shot/Never Ending/Wounding/Plasma Infused/Explosive Double Barrel Shotgun. I know, that's a lot of favorites, but I love the double barrel shotgun more than the Combat Shotgun; just wish it were stronger. As for the Laser Musket, a regular 6-Crank with the best Mod's and Maxed Rifleman will be doing well over 600 damage. Add in Lone Wanderer, Bloody mess, etc, you could be approaching 800. These are rough estimates from what I remember. Now if you make that a two shot, you're around 1.4k For the cost of 6 Fusion cells. This is cheaper and way more efficient in terms of ammo weight than the Gauss Rifle by a mile for Survival mode. Also the added benefit of storing shots before use rather than charging and holding before each shot. Now Wounding I like for the Beam splitter. Each individual projectile gets another 25 pounds of bleed. Not the most effective, but still good, and very satisfying to see health tick down
It's easy to get but it's not the strongest stuff. Old Faithfull is better and still has no place in this top. And for good reasons - they're way harder to get.
Consider the Big Boy MIRV. Or the Two Shot Six Crank Laser Musket ( one shot Annihilator Sentrybot killer ). Or the Irradiated Stunning Super Sledge (sounds like a hammer I know). combine with 4+ Vats enhanced armor pieces, ninja perks, gun-fu perks, and the like, you can 1-2 shot everything while staying in vats. Survival mode almost seems obligatory.
Little late to the video, but the Furious Ripper shouldn't be on this list. Look at the footage of it. See how long it takes to kill anything with it? Now look at all the other footage of the other weapons on this list. Yeah, if you're not blind you can tell the difference, like night and day. The Furious Ripper doesn't have the utility of a weapon like the Kneecapper Pipe Rifle, so it's pure damage. And it just pales in comparison to all the other weapons in terms of damage output. Maybe if this was expanded to top 20. Or top 30...possibly top 40. Idk, there's a lot of better weapons should you really think about it.
TLDR: Borderlands is easier bc you know where you can farm for a specific item (e.g. farm BNKR for the Bitch), whereas Fallout legendaries are by chance, and theres also a high chance that your legendary weapon might not have the effect you want or vice versa (e.g. Ghoul slayer's sniper rifle instead of instigating sniper rifle).
The way the two shot effect increases damage is by adding a second projectile which is completely unaffected by perks or bonuses that would increase it's damage. Weapon mods do of course still benefit this second projectile.
I love my exploding minigun, unless my companion runs right in front of me. I would think that perk allocation would determine whether the minigun or the shotgun is better for your character.
because it is not overpowered compared to other weapons shown on the list. The weapons he showed, are also effective in survival mode unlike the overseer's guardian.
Before I started the Nuka World DLC I managed to get an exploding and two shot handmade rifle.. I was excited, but annoyed that the ammo isn't integrated into the base game.
I found an Instigating Gauss rifle on my very first playthrough off of a Super Mutant lol. That thing is no joke though, that was practically the only weapon I used for a LONG time
Got lucky, just started recently. Started off managing to early on drop a wounding pipe revolver that has now been fully upgraded including the .308 so it is pretty powerful, then a wounding and then a 10mm pistol, now fully upgraded including the powerful automatic, less power per bullet but nice rapid fire. I just got an incendiary combat shotgun today, nearly fully upgraded just can’t get automatic on it yet.
My all time favorite weapons found have been and the explosive combat rifle and the explosive pipe gun, both set up as automatics they rip through everything and ammo is plentiful. They do tend to make you sloppy though and can't be effectively used when fighting alongside allies.
Explosive legendary shotgun with maxed out demolition rank can bring down mirelurk queens with only a few hits. You can wipe out any building or army with it, however something he doesn't mention is it's one huge drawback. If you shoot anything within 10 feet it blows you up in the process. If you suddenly find yourself in a tight skirmish with no way to back up you're screwed. You have to switch weapons and hold you're not killed in the process.

For example, an unmodded Hunting rifle does 37 damage, while a .50 cal Hunting rifle does 64. So a Two-shot .50 cal Hunting rifle does 64+37 = 101 damage, resulting in two projectiles hitting for 50.5 each. The damage value displayed in the Pip-Boy is the damage of both projectiles combined."
The rounds also don't follow the exact same flight path, it's possible for one of them to miss.
Prince Original compare a fatman and big boy’s damage with no mods on either. Then compare with the mirv mod.
hell, evil taco's statement was taken right from the wiki. two shot does not deal double dmg, except on unmodded guns.
hell, if it did, why would there be an instigating?
it adds an extra projectile, adds base dmg, and splits the difference.
so, an unmodded gun with 50 base dmg, would get a second projectile, and (50+50)/2 = 50.
a gun that's modded to 80 dmg would fire two projectiles, it'd be (80+50)/2 = 65 dmg for each projectile.
a gun that's modded to be fully automatic to get 30 dmg would be (30+50)/2 = 40 dmg/projectile, making it actually more effective for decreasing dmg, increasing fire rate, than even just two bullets from the base gun.
but, it's not double dmg, across the board.
There's almost always at least one, sometimes two legendary npc's in these places, and you pretty much just have to go back into Nuka World to reset them.
your intro is awesome
“Never ending punt gun with explosive buckshot”: God mode.
Powerful Deathclaw Gauntlet with unarmed build
Just ask French Tomahawk
Explosive minigun: epic way to make swiss cheese of your enemies.
Also, theres an easy way to get a Furious effect handmade rifle. Just use the right hand set of dialogue options when meeting Mason for the first time. He rewards you with the Problem Solver, which has the same effect but is a painted variant
can you not spend 7 minutes going over one weapon that is a melee so not that many people will use it and then spend like 1-2 minutes on real guns
eh, not that many people are gonna use any particular weapon, really. some might say the same thing about like, the gauss rifle or something.
i think this guy is confusing Fallout 4 with Skyrim...lol
Been working on a “beginning saved game” for it, no cheating. Done a lot of repeatable quests and ended up doing a few quests that needed to be completed for perks without needing to continue the main storyline. Some of the nice weapons I got was an Explosive Mini-gun, Explosive Combat Shotgun, Lucky Missile Launcher, Lucky Fat Man and a Two Shot Gauss Rifle.
No wounding Gatling laser? Isn't it just as good as the explosive mini gun?
completely underated weapon is the explosive 10mm because you can make it automatic and with the right perks it does 100 damage per hit
how many videos have you been making just about the same special weapons?
RUclips Cancer just like MrBossFTW and the likes, They make ten videos on the same subject. Just titled different. got to get them youtube views some how lol that's why I don't indorse bums like this. They just sit around on redditt stealing everyone's info then making shitty videos for the noobs. And before anyone says, why are you watching his videos then (my reply) I was watching videos on bullet weight for survival and fell asleep woke up and heard this bums voice so thought I would read the comments.
Well, he did mention at the beginning he'd done it before, and was just doing it again because of recent updates.
So i guess this is probably the final one since he's caught up.
Are you an idiot IT SAYS overall that means the best from all of his vids
Nicolai ...who
Sanz Roblox, Minecraft, and Vlogs two dynamic, who else?
Hey 2, thanks for the Vid! Just got fallout 4 a week ago and you and norespawns are my most viewed channels rn
Trace if your on ps4, your not gonna have a fun time
Trace you should check thenapple if you like fallout stories (I'm not a bot just recommending because he deserves more subs because of his effort)
HV Jayl - I am and I know PC is a lot better but PS4 is still amazing
For some good gameplay and challenge runs, check out Many a True Nerd in addition to these folksIf you want to build some massive settlements, check out Jug
6:55 there is the video besides the 6 minutes 55 seconds of describing THE SAME MELEE WEAPON
Thank you
best legendary ive found is the kneecapper's flamer, the best thing is not just the flames coming out of the flamer have this effect but the burn damage also carries it
Another top 10 plz! I already have most of these!
***** lmao. If only Neverending were on Harpoon Guns, and if Neverending Double Barrel Shotguns dropped on high level characters.
***** I know lmao. Well, time to become addicted to Destiny now...
Chrispy that game blows
Chrispy destiny sucks
Have explosion shotgun does 138. Damage
This video may be 4 years old but he knows that a pipe rifle can be a force to be reckoned with when upgraded with cheap and common ammo to boot
Spray and pray all the way baby!!!
More like spray and waste all of your 45 ammo While doing no damage
@@levilock1346 it deals insane amounts of damage for how easy and early it can be obtained.
Yes, the explosive handmade rifle or minigun beats it, but those are Not really weapons you can get that early.
Spray n pray puts the Game into easy mode after you visit vault 81 until at least Level 40.
And .45 ammo is Not that hard to obtain If you Invest a bit into good trading.
leeman27534 I just randomly got one without legendary farming.
eh, you got lucky as shit, but that could be said for most any weapon combo, i guess, just that one's pretty desirable.
me, i'd prefer something i might not accidentally kill myself with in two shots.
leeman27534 the best part I already invested in rifleman and demolitions expert.
3:26 there is another alien
Handmade rifle can be loot-locked at national guard training yard and its pretty common, same as western revolver. Hope this helps
I also have a two shot gauss rifle, it is insane i can one shot mirelurk queens on very hard with that baby
I also just got my first two shot gauss rifle and I love it
Btw I am level 79
I can't believe I'm still playing this game till today because I just love it
Me too!
I have a two shot combat shotgun🙌
i got the plasma infused combat shot gun
Cool I also got plasma infused 10mm pistol
I got a explosive muzzled 10mm pistol, I made it automatic and even that slays
The Blue Bees explosive is better
Rodrigo Magalhaes Yeah I know
Personally I prefer damage bonus over incendiary.
Plus it get's more powerful with rifleman, demo expert and nuclear physicist perks too. Add in stealth multipliers and it does insane damage!
It’s best with commando, but either way it’s good. The demolition expert perk maxed adds 30 extra damage per hit instead of 15. Area of effect is brutal.
I’ve heard you need far harbor
eh, even with the two shot, my kiloton radium rifle's matching its 91dmg with a powerful automatic receiver, and gets 15 explosive dmg and 100 radiation dmg per shot.
two shot just isn't as good as some people make it out to be. on a really high dmg weapon, instigating is better, on really low dmg weapons, especially faster ones, adding some sort of bonus dmg is better, explosive's the best, though can be fatal.
two shot actually does do well on the stronger weapons that have really high base damage, and high fire rate, especially rifles that tend to have automatic receivers that lower dmg and give better fire rates, cause the added dmg is still the base, it doesn't lower, so evens out to a higher total than double what it would've been without two shot, unlike what would work on like a gauss rifle, where two shot is only like 1.4X dmg because the gun gets so much better upgrades.
but, radium rifles seem better overall than combat rifles, so even the two shot doesn't really make it better, just about equivalent. until you factor kiloton radium rifle's explosive and radiation dmg, as well.
I have gotten two explosive combat shotguns. I can confirm they are incredibly powerful. I got my first one around elvel 10ish and I can personally confirm it is pretty OP.
I got mine from the chest at the end of far harbor
I actually got a explosive handmade rifle in the glowing sea
Cody Laforte I have one as well idk where I got it it's nice and all but I have way better shit
0:47: This is when the sole survivor was really sick of preston’s ‘another settlement needs our help garbage’
"It's light because it dosen't weigh much", "It can attack quickly because it's fast"
You need to script your stuff man.
Not the most effective, but still good, and very satisfying to see health tick down
Think you could follow up with a top 10 armor pieces?
I can't believe this intro was made about 6 yrs ago
nah if you don't have overseer's guardian in this I'm not listening...
It's easy to get but it's not the strongest stuff. Old Faithfull is better and still has no place in this top. And for good reasons - they're way harder to get.
I was ledendary farming for the first time. Passed up the explosive combat shotgun and kept going till I had the explosive mini gun
Best fallout youtuber ever!!!
It's because he was killing a Mirelurk Queen. Do you know how long it takes to kill those with melee weapons?
The explosive combat shotgun is deadly. I farmed and got one at level 80 and after fully modifying it , it one shots almost every thing .
Farming in borderlands is easier or harder than fallout want to see opinions
TLDR: Borderlands is easier bc you know where you can farm for a specific item (e.g. farm BNKR for the Bitch), whereas Fallout legendaries are by chance, and theres also a high chance that your legendary weapon might not have the effect you want or vice versa (e.g. Ghoul slayer's sniper rifle instead of instigating sniper rifle).
So it's easier or harder?
I will say harder fallout than borderlands since you do not have the key chest and farming bosses is easy
if you do bobbi no nose’ quest and side with fahrenheit, you’ll get an incendiary minigun from her. a must have for any heavy gunner character
what is the mod weapon at the end? that mini nuke cluster bomb looks badass! lol!
You have to make it with a mod that lets you combine any attachment with any weapon but i forgot what its called :/
@@levilock1346 No it's an actual weapon attachment. I believe it's the MIRV attachment.
getting 7.62 ammo isn't a problem if you routinely visit areas the enemies respawn. the house near the nuka world red rocket and the shovel museum
"!I was lucky enough to run across an explosive 10mm at level 7. I'm now at level 50 and I'm still using it. named it "Bitch be Chill
A knife kill a deathclaw faster than a shotgun. The realism
I have the explosive combat shotgun on one of my characters and it really feels like god mode. it almost ruins the game..
I have the explosive combat shotgun. I named it "Close Enough" because aiming is a suggestion. Just don't shoot near your feet, not *that* close.
Almost all my weapons were one shot 😂
The way the two shot effect increases damage is by adding a second projectile which is completely unaffected by perks or bonuses that would increase it's damage. Weapon mods do of course still benefit this second projectile.
joshua pretty sure it’s the unmodded version that is added.
I had a two shot gauze rifle
Edgat Garcia-Corona lol autocorrect got you
I have one as well
I love my exploding minigun, unless my companion runs right in front of me. I would think that perk allocation would determine whether the minigun or the shotgun is better for your character.
The explosive minigun is flat out better.
3 WORDS SPRAY AND PRAY
roorha plays 1 word no
radium kiloton rifle says hello.
love that gun
for the throat slicer if you get the scav mag with +3 strength if you have less than 100 caps, when you pick it up and then get your money back later.
Where is the overseers guardian
Timed Panther vault 81 I think
its located in vault 81
Barska 4x32 yeah that's what I thought
I meant y isn't it on the list it is overpowered
because it is not overpowered compared to other weapons shown on the list. The weapons he showed, are also effective in survival mode unlike the overseer's guardian.
Before I started the Nuka World DLC I managed to get an exploding and two shot handmade rifle.. I was excited, but annoyed that the ammo isn't integrated into the base game.
Pathetic everyone knows the ultimate weapon is of course the goul slayers gama gun
Started a doing a melee build on my character and it's so fun. Definitely makes Fallout fun again imo
all right how the he'll u get deez
Ligma
I found an Instigating Gauss rifle on my very first playthrough off of a Super Mutant lol. That thing is no joke though, that was practically the only weapon I used for a LONG time
I have a friend

i got a explosive combat riffle is that still god
Got lucky, just started recently. Started off managing to early on drop a wounding pipe revolver that has now been fully upgraded including the .308 so it is pretty powerful, then a wounding and then a 10mm pistol, now fully upgraded including the powerful automatic, less power per bullet but nice rapid fire. I just got an incendiary combat shotgun today, nearly fully upgraded just can’t get automatic on it yet.
YES the furious ripper somebody is finally talking on how lethal it is
Dude that intro is awesome! Good job
My all time favorite weapons found have been and the explosive combat rifle and the explosive pipe gun, both set up as automatics they rip through everything and ammo is plentiful. They do tend to make you sloppy though and can't be effectively used when fighting alongside allies.
Yeah they are so fun to use
Explosive legendary shotgun with maxed out demolition rank can bring down mirelurk queens with only a few hits. You can wipe out any building or army with it, however something he doesn't mention is it's one huge drawback. If you shoot anything within 10 feet it blows you up in the process. If you suddenly find yourself in a tight skirmish with no way to back up you're screwed. You have to switch weapons and hold you're not killed in the process.
adam ropp can confirm you will die even in fully upgraded x-01 with explosive shielding on it.
