I always have the automatic update on and none of my apps are updating, I press the update button on the apps when it pops up but it just does nothing, is there anything I can do to update them manually?

I have a USB drive for added external storage. Most if not every time I attempt to update an app installed on the external storage, it fails due to insufficient space. I still have 540 mb of available internal space and 111 GB of 113 gb of external space available. Thus far, to update an app on external storage, I have to delete the app, download and install it again, and do any required steps for the app to work again like login or connect to my Directv account. Any help?

I have been seeing news articles that Amazon is getting ready to ditch the android operating system and come out with their own have you heard about this as well maybe you can talk about it in a future video it really concerns me because I think if this happens they're going to end up making a close system like Apple TV or Roku would love your thoughts thanks

Yes, a lot of misinformation. I wouldn't be surprised if they change the interface since it definitely needs it. But to eliminate 3rd party apps? Tough pill to swallow. I will wait until information is confirmed and will do a video preparing people and give options. Thanks for supporting the channel.

How do you update apps that are on usb
If it’s an app that needs updating regularly, keep it on your internal. The external is best for 3rd party apps and ones you can record live tv

Why would it? Has nothing to do with downloader or any app on your stick. Plus downloader isn't going anywhere on the firestick.
@CuriosityCafe because I've seen other videos and they said it has been removed from the playstore on new Amazon devices (firesticks cubes and fire tvs) to prevent sideloading.
That was in the UK. Maybe it's different there. Just thought if they can change and add apps they can remove them with an update.
No, google playstore yes, amazon, no. Speculation. Who knows in the future, but right now. No issues. Just an easy video for people to post to get views. All good my friend.
I am getting a notification: Music. Media playback. I have to continually dismiss the notification. I made the notification, as you suggested, to off so I will see if this cures the problem. A RUclipsr in England addressed this issue but you had to download something to make it disappear.
