    so in cruise he gets 14 about MPG. That's about what my truck does except he can fly straight and I gotta wind with the roads. So he's doing better.

    Crazy to see 18 months from start to finish on a build of that scale. Great to see more people under 40 taking on projects like this. Bearhawk might just be the next vans for bush planes with a build assistance program and a little innovation.

    It's crazy that this plane will be considered a light sport aircraft under the new FAA guidelines. If you do the kit and make it experimental. 6 seat light sport with 800mile range is going to be a game changer.

      @@ExperimentalAircraftChannel I think I already mentioned to you that I lost my medical and that is why I no longer will be able to fly this or any other non 103 aircraft. It is a great aircraft though. Truly impressive.

      $200,000-$250,000 is hardly "reasonable" for a vehicle you have to craft yourself out of raw materials over 3,000man hours (times what You and your assistants are worth).

      Don’t know why they don’t use ceramic coating instead of wax. Love this plane but I don’t want global on anything I own. I couldn’t afford it anyway.

    So here is a real question. What are you doing to bird proof this aircraft... As birds get real in Africa. . Birdstrikes... So even running line from hood to wingspar over windshield and having two air intakes for engine would probably be a must. Good craft... Also if you get rid of all of your 90 degree skin contacts and give them a 9 inch arc. You should c speeds. And fuel economy go up a good amount...

      I spoke to the owner/designer of Bearhawk years ago and BRS and he was willing to do the calculations to make it possible. But he needed someone to buy the kit to make it worth his time. I guess since then, no one else has asked for the option.

      @@EllipsisAircraft as a high IQ person speaking to a low IQ person I’ll answer the best I can for you. The technology is there….mid air collision, snapped cable, passed out with my kid or wife or mistress with me, bird strike through glass ( happens a lot here in mde) spatial disorientation, icing, flying at night, over trees and mountains during the day. Watch the lancair video of the guy in Oregon who said he had zero options and pulled his brs and he also said he would never fly a single without a brs again. Grow up old man stuck in your ego ways.
