- If you have empty aerosol spray cans lying around, don't throw them away just yet.
There are a few useful things you can make.
In this video, I made a pulley, a handle and a spinning toy.

You could use a can opener to cut top and bottom of can. It gives you a clean cut
It is interesting to see how we can recycle used items into something else as well as get more insight into other ideas that we can think of. So far I like the knob idea best.

I'm sure you could make a bicycle bell from that door knob if you added a little spring and a hammer :)
That's a great idea, but I am not sure if it would work. I tried to hit the spinning toy with a screwdriver. It did not sound...well it did, but not loud enough to function as a bell.
Maybe different type of can would work better 🔔

I am currently trying to chop up a butane can for a project. The area around the vent is built like a bank vault. Its like 3 different pieces of stamp pressed steel, in consecutive rings. Its tough as nails.
I’m definitely trying that top idea.

It's a bottom and top part of the can. I call it a "disk", even though it's not an official name for it.
I cut them off and then glued both pieces together.

you probabaly can use the spinning top as an oil lamp too. just put a wick in it and fill ot with gas/oil
Yes, I was actually going to do it. Not with the spinning top, but with the actual can. BUT I decided no to. I must admit, spinning top - lamp would look much cooler than just a can-lamp. Great idea!

I've been trying to write the answer to your question for the last 20 minutes........I keep editing the comment.
It's a procedure that is hard to explain in writing. Usually I look & hold the object (like an aerosol can) in my hands, until I think of the ways I could reuse it.

When I was watching #1, I thought you were going to make a yoyo.

I would make some oil/grease/fat lamps! Cut can in half for home lamp or just the two top, bottom, and nozzle, fill with a bit of oil and put a piece of hemp, rope, wick, thru the nozzle and... -bam!!! Now you're rocking it!! Engineering Hobo style life hacks!!!
You could even add a reflector to focus and intensify the light; So... (HEY!!! Put the glass pipe down for one d#mn second! we ain't done yet!! ut the cylinder in half lengthwise and attach it with the shiny concave(inside) part to the flame. It will light up your life!! Because who wouldnt want to add more light to shine upon all the marvelous freedoms and your collection of soda tabs, yogurt lids, and pickle jars still filled with brine to keep afloat your most favorite of feces! Bro, those are gonna be worth money man!! The envy of Burnside my mans.. cheers
