If you have a can with product but no pressure left, I have used my air compressor and a blow gun with a soft rubber tip to re-pressurize the can. Just remove spray tip, place rubber nozzle from blow gun over can valve tightly and give it a couple good bursts! You will feel it when you get it right its like blowing in a drinking straw. Then just put the nozzle back on and boom it should spray again! Don't over do this and you will need at least 60 psi or so to overcome the can valve but I have had great success with this! Keep in mind that liquids that cure in air like paint you should probably use quickly.
Great video, They should make those nozzle stem tips out of the same kind of plastic those clear packages for products at Costco are in, like SD Card packages that you practically have to use tin snips to open. The plastic that the spray can nozzle stems are made of is very brittle, I had the stem break off a can of carburetor cleaner bust and it only fell about a foot and a half and landed on the spray nozzle
Thank you so much man this was the exact same problem Im having right now with a broken tip. I actually had a nozzle for the phone the one you're talking about ordering through eBay and I didn't know what it was for and I literally just put it away about 5 minutes ago I'm not thinking it could give me a little bit of help but I can't wait to look through your other videos cuz I'm always working around the house looking for ways to save me a trip to the store
I was just getting ready to put a comment about safety glasses when you mentioned it at the very end. Thank you very much for that. Save a Can apparently is no longer in business. Can't buy it anywhere. Please someone else pick this up & make it. We need something like this product.
Easier to decant and use in air brush or spray gun. The cost of “fix” not worth the cost for $6 can of paint. I can see this “fix” getting very messy when one slips up a little. All one has to do is press on the tip a bit too much and then………spray paint everywhere.
@@davidlong1786Either you are a very young man or you have NO children. I have never broken one either but my kids have “accidentally” dropped several cans resulting in exactly this thing happening. Take care~Linn
When I have a can that has lost its pressure, I make a slight hole at the top and depressure the can. Once the pressure is down, I enlarge the hole and pour the contents into a small glass jar. I have an airbrush, so if I need to spray paint the particular color I can use my compressor and the airbrush to use the product. Most of the times I did this for model painting and I got the best application of paint in comparison to the mist from the paint bomb can. Wd40 or other lubricants that are similarly affected, I just open the can and dump it into a jar and use a paint brush to apply to the surfaces that need treatment. I never waste a spray bomb can unless I have to do it.
For $12.99 I can save so much money on the dozens of $15-20 cans of paint I have that are broken. What about if you have a rustoleum universal brand of paint though? I have a few that have faulty sprayers and have no clue how to fix them or get the paint out of them safely.
Those trigger guns are awesome. I've been using them for years, and they make long projects like painting so much easier. That WD40 trick is very cool. I like those spray heads, and it never even occurred to me that they could be removed and put on other cans.
I have a hair spray that won't spray like it should. The tip is not clogged. I've even tried a brand new tip, and it still doesn't spray correctly. I've also tried pressing down on the tubing, and it comes out perfectly and at full force. I'm thinking that the tubing must be bent inside. What can I do to salvage this can of my favorite hairspray??

Um … it weighs a little less than 1/2 an ounce (4/10ths) This is pretty useful because a lot of these products are pricey and throwing the stuff away is aggravating.
I can’t buy this, the PayPal link doesn’t work. Suggests that the company is having issues. I don’t use Venmo and I am certainly never paying for anything by direct bank transfer. Available only on the company website apparently.
It’s early Sunday morning or Friday night at 11, you live 35 miles from a store, or maybe out at the ranch, you use a lot of these in your work, money actually matters and some of these products aren’t cheap, you just need to squeeze out a little bit more and don’t need a whole other can, and you’d prefer not to dump a bunch of chemicals in the trash. There’s a half dozen legit reasons not to just toss it in the trash and “go buy a new can”. Trolls.
There's alot of aerosol product out there that isn't just 3-4 dollars. I'd hate to throw a 15.00 can of paint away when I could have bought a reusable product that could save me that $$ then and in the future.

At $18.99 for Sav A Can, there are not many cans worth saving.
It's meant to be reusable so it's an investment
Seriously, how many stems have you broken in your lifetime? I can say I've broken NONE. Yeah for $19 I can just go out and buy another can or 3.

Does the Save-A-Can nozzle come with different spray pattern for paint spraying?
Yes exactly the same problem face here
was hoping to find a tip on the Great Stuff thingy... my bran-new can fell and broke off the white tip at the steam :-(

Acetone will clean the expanding spray foam from the nozzles.
The tip weighs point four ounces NOT 4 ounces ! Good video Thank you !
Thank you. I love the tips.
Interesting tips, thanks.
Spray cans suck in general. I'm sure manufactures could fix the issues. The straws get lost or are the wrong diameter. 🙁

Great idea, that's what I do with brake cleaner and carburetor cleaner and put in a jar to use for brush cleaner when the spouts break off the cans .

I think that on those occasions it is better to take the paint out of the container and use it with an air gun.
You are supposed to file the tip flat or cut it clean and even with a razor blade
Cool 😎 !
