If they keep missing the plug, try slowing down the retrieve speed. It might even interest the bigger fish. Only the small fish were hitting the plug because it was too fast for the big boys. Anyways, good luck to you during the rest of the fall run!
Sowing Seeds Lawn Care i do it all the time. when you are always after these fish with trebles you figure out wjen to go down and the grip youbhave to have. im not saying i havent been hooked myself but you slowly learn these fish like to flop like ass holes and you gotta adapt lol
Nice. This happened over the weekend in ocean county. First they was outta casting range then when they came with range they didn't want any lures at all. Super picky since there was so much bait. Very frustrating indeed
hi Chris I'm looking for a new saltwater light tackle rod. I do a lot of jigging so sensitivity is important to me. I was looking at Penn and Powell and I remembered pompano bay. id rather support a smaller company like pompano bay. how do you like yours?
fishing trip question: im planning a trip to come to the beaches of new jersey to catch the striper run this fall, around diamond beach and cape may, is there anywhere where i can park my car near the beach? and also is there anywhere i can park and sleep in my car(kinda broke), if not then ill get a motel.
Id be more into freshwater if there was good action to be had but my area in southeastern PA is mostly overpressured bass/catfish/panfish which I don't spend much time on... now If I lived in a less populated area and I could catch quality fish it would be a different story but for me the ocean is where I get my kicks.
I have never spear fished and for stripers the limit is one fish, I wouldnt be against it but I really just like to see/feel them eat and then watch them swim away
where in south jersey were you i was fishing of the manasquan beach yesterday extremely windy caught nothing there were baitfish close to shore can you give me any suggestions on where to go i would greatly appreciate it
Every once in a while give it a pause while they attack the lure. Such a cool fishing trip. Even if the fish were not huge monsters... You caught so many of them it makes up for it.
I would have tried to jerk the bait a little slower, the huge bass sometimes take a little longer to hit compared to the smaller ones because they are smarter, but also lazier than the eager smaller fish. Of course, I've never fished Stripers before, but I know that sometimes if you do some uneven jerks of a popper, let it sit for 2 seconds do a couple more, then it sparks the larger Bass' interest instead of steady fast ones. It also works with Pike and Muskie in the freshwater world. Just a thought.
definitely throwing a big pencil there or a spook if they are in close. big plugs, wide cadence. frequent pauses with the spooks, even a few with the pencil. if i knew they were all bass i'd throw wood but i have a feeling you're onto something throwing plastic with all of those blues out there. nothing puts the damper on a day like losing a 30 dollar plug with a few bucks worth of hardware on it. i bet the doc would be a killer on a day like this in a kayak or boat where casting distance isn't a huge issue. those things cast like a shoe but the action is unmatched. wooden spooks cast ok, but nothing like a pencil particularly in the wind.
I would really like to move to florida once this fall season comes to an end but honestly, for the months of sept-dec, Jersey is the only place I want to be
I made a comment in the past about you needing a ruler because you’re supposed 27 an 28s were actually 23 and 24s...I’m man enough to admit when I’m wrong....I thought the same thing for Elias till I saw him measure it...something about these go pros and cameras make you’re fish appear smaller.....but like I said...my bad...and I’m learning a lotta techniques lure wise from your vids
Sea-Money Fishing how are you doing sir, I was wondering 2 things, what type of knot did you use around 2:00 in your video for the pencil Popper? And second how much does one of those Kayaks go for? I've been considering getting one.
Hey man I've been enjoying your videos for a long time now, their excellent and the fish you catch are amazing, makes me very jealous and makes me really want to meet you and go fishing with you one day because I enjoy the same type of fishing you do just never had the chance to really do it, I'm located in northern Virginia and if you wanna go fishing on private ponds, rivers or lakes email me or respond I have many of places for a big variety of fishing and hope to hear back from you! Good luck on your next trip man, tight lines
Pow bela pescaria ,, também adoro pescar . Eu de vez enquando brigo com xaréu em média 6 kilos e robalos em média 10 kilos à 4 .. só quê eu costumo pescar em barreiras de corais " arrecifes"

Man you have no fear of those treble hooks!...lol
Sowing Seeds Lawn Care I was thinking the same things!! Cringing every time he reached for the plug hoping that 3/0 Vmc hook in the hand
Sowing Seeds Lawn Care
Fuck, that fisherman is gutsy. He pops those hooks out've those bass like a boss!
Sowing Seeds Lawn Care i do it all the time. when you are always after these fish with trebles you figure out wjen to go down and the grip youbhave to have. im not saying i havent been hooked myself but you slowly learn these fish like to flop like ass holes and you gotta adapt lol
by far my favorite video of yours. these are the days fisherman live for
Gregory Dardia f
Right place, right time! Dude...glad that you landed some awesome Stripers!
Extreme Philly Fishing hey found you!! Love your vids.
Looks like you needed to work the popper a little slower or toss a swim bait good find
tlsmoke23 swim bait will be destroyed after one fish
Nice. This happened over the weekend in ocean county. First they was outta casting range then when they came with range they didn't want any lures at all. Super picky since there was so much bait. Very frustrating indeed
when you grab the lure it makes me so uneasy bro. How many times have you sunk trebles in your hand
very rarely if ever
Exactly ! Can't believe how many times he did that ...Treble hook don't play..
@@ChrisMcIntee This video I lost count ..I'LL watch again later.. Good video..

What is the name of the popper you were using? Also what time were you referring to when you said dusk?

Awesome. Are you a big freshwater guy, or do you just fish sea mainly?
Id be more into freshwater if there was good action to be had but my area in southeastern PA is mostly overpressured bass/catfish/panfish which I don't spend much time on... now If I lived in a less populated area and I could catch quality fish it would be a different story but for me the ocean is where I get my kicks.
Sea-Money Fishing hit me up sometime I want to try fishing with you I'm new to kakya fishing I fish new Jersey to but don't know where to kakya at yet
if you are new, check out the navionics web app.
it is underwater topo maps and perfect for mapping the back bays and searching for the fishy spots.
Honestly that was some sick footage you got. This is why we fish!
Nice job man I hit up farther south but they headed back north..managed one then played with tog all day glad someone got into em good!
11.04 was one of the best top water hits I've seen in a minute.
That bass next to the boat! Good stuff.
Would you ever go spearfishing for the big ones if there all near the surface?
I have never spear fished and for stripers the limit is one fish, I wouldnt be against it but I really just like to see/feel them eat and then watch them swim away

Hey man I'm going down to the shore this weekend to fish for stripers from the beach any advice on lure choice or anything else?
Freaking awesome man!
You scare me with those treble hooks lol

got my bowl of popcorn once again
you should have thrown a sub surface walker specificly a sebile stick shad , they work the best for me in those kind of situations
Is it still good time to fish at south new jersey? do you fish in winter if weather allows
what kind of set up is that? I like that pole
#damnson action was like that here on Long Island for months, it was crazy. Glad to see it like that by you. Awesome vid as always
bernier 14 where do you fish by I live on Long Island and need some good fishing spots
Hey dude are you on west Coast or East Coast ? Nice Video
Ever considered flattening down the barbs on those trebles , you loose a few but much easier to unhook
Do you ever go fishing in the Marco Island area?
it's nice to see you learning to fish
Bad ass ! 3:06 sick video and damn those topwater blowups !!!!
would you be willing to teach me how to kayak fish? I have a lot of fishing equipment but no experience with kayaks
definitely throwing a big pencil there or a spook if they are in close. big plugs, wide cadence. frequent pauses with the spooks, even a few with the pencil. if i knew they were all bass i'd throw wood but i have a feeling you're onto something throwing plastic with all of those blues out there. nothing puts the damper on a day like losing a 30 dollar plug with a few bucks worth of hardware on it. i bet the doc would be a killer on a day like this in a kayak or boat where casting distance isn't a huge issue. those things cast like a shoe but the action is unmatched. wooden spooks cast ok, but nothing like a pencil particularly in the wind.
How many times was the word "bunker" used in this video ?
What type of rod/reel/lure were you using?

Ever consider moving to Alaska or Florida where the fishing is even better?
The fishing is not better in either of those places - just different!
I would really like to move to florida once this fall season comes to an end but honestly, for the months of sept-dec, Jersey is the only place I want to be
Fishing is deff not better that Jersey. Sorry
looks like a blast man!
Right place right time..Awesome Vid

Omg, great fishing ! I need to hang out with you. . .
That's why I like that Super Strike little neck popper.....If they don't commit, you can swim it and entice a bite.....

What part of south Jersey is this?
Awesome action packed video 👍🏻👊🏻💥🎣🤘🏻💯

How do you carry your kayak places?
Slowing down your retrieve would have increased your hook up rate by a lot, especially right at the end of your retrieve.
what kind of kayak do you use
what month?
just curious, I see you using that clash 4000 more lately, why is that?
Anthony Sanchez his other one broke and he bought this from a friend
yea the sustain had to be retired, the 4000 is lighter than the 5000 so Ive been using that mostly.
Sea-Money Fishing how are you doing sir, I was wondering 2 things, what type of knot did you use around 2:00 in your video for the pencil Popper? And second how much does one of those Kayaks go for? I've been considering getting one.

This was an awesome day. Did keep at least one for dinner?
TroyboyQUE I remember in a video he stated he's not a huge fan of eating fish or something of the sort. I think it was the video he prepared a dish.
Thanks Vincent. I have caught Blues like that but never Stripers. I would be talking about a day like this forever.
when I find blow ups like that, I use a paddle tail and skim the surface. and I'll catch numerous striper back to back.
What kind of kayak should I use i am wanting to start kayak fishone
Fishing
Dude I live in Catskill NY we should meet up and fish sometime! I'd love to do that dude!!!
how was it
He thinks he's got a 50 pounder,... its like a 25 tho. Lmaoo I'm dead.
do you use yuni knots
yes
Gonna get yourself a lure in the face if you keep trying to horse those bass in right next to you while they're on the surface.
Those fish look big to me !! 😳😳
Why do u always release big catches
