This barn owl mixed media painting is one of my favorite bird paintings so far. I love the stained-glass window background and the glow of the owl.

I have just found your channel. And i find your work beautiful. I am a realism artist however i work with varied mediums. U have inspired me to mix them together to create a more abstract realistic peice. Now to figure out what plays well while layering.

This is awsome! I love the night feeling you got with those colors and technic. I is great to hear you talk about you process but it is as nice as to listen to soft musik and just watsh. 👍❣ Do you think you can do that oil part with guoache? I don't have tryed guoache over acrylics, yet.

always love watching your videos!! what is the brush you're using at 1:15 to scumble/get the blurry effect?
Is there a black transparent you would use for the base?
Is there a medium you can use to keep the inks looking glossy when it drys?

May I ask what you used to sketch the owl? Was it just a white coloured pencil? Thank you in advance 🙏😊
I use a white charcoal pencil.😊
@@lydiabroderick867 thank you ! I always struggle with not being able to see my lines very well when sketching on acrylic so will definitely have to give the white charcoal pencil a try! 😃👍
