Nanny you are just a Doll sharing all of these beautiful tips! I'm a firm believer making life easy and all things do-able as possible. I had to laugh about getting stuck on the potty 😂I got stuck on one while at a restaurant...but thank God I too got that last umph and was able to stand up w/out help😂
Nanny I really do appreciate this video. Do you think maybe Cindy could put links to help us with finding all these items. I know it would be helpful to many, you are so blessed with family to help. Love you so much, you are not only an inspiration but a truly compassionate person ❤️
I love that tool to get out of the car. Thanks. Going over to Amazon. I fell last year and couldn't walk well for months with a walker. Medicare supplied me with a free transport wheel chair prescribed by the hospital. It is lightweight. Nothing fancy but sure helped my daughter get me to appointments. Yes, we need gadgets and are lucky to have them available. Love these video ideas. So helpful. You're a blessing, Nanny. God bless you and Moose. 💙
✅Super agers! I’m practicing sitting and standing throughout the day. It’s painful for me, but I know the importance to stay mobile as much as possible. I try to walk one mile daily. I’ve noticed youtube has some videos for physical therapy too. Nanny, thanks for being our inspiration!❤
Thank your for sharing these tips to assist with aging. And thank you for mentioning added confidence when using these tools. That is so important. I really appreciate your gracious and positive attitude.
So good to see you again. You touched on a lot of good ideas as far as being safe while doing things. And, I want to thank you for that. Take care and see you soon! ❤
I enjoyed this video and all of the things you recommend from your own experience. I'm 65 and in excellent health but my husband is 75 and he has a lot of problems with walking and balance. I bought one of those car assist tools but It is too large for the hooks on my car. It works on my van but we really don't need to use it on the van. Last year I added a lot of bars to our shower as well as a hand-held shower and a large seat. I have rechargeable battery motion sensor light strips in our hallway and stairway to help us see, it's like a little airport runway. I have also installed grab bars at the doorway to our home because we have a small 4 inch step there as well.
Thank you so much for these helpful tips. I moved my mother into our home with early onset dementia and mobility issues and these things are very helpful tips. 🙏
Hi Nanny! Thank you so much for this information Nanny! I love it when you tell us things that can help us in our "golden" years...we gave some gifts to our kids for Christmas that you recommended in a previous video for safety and they are loved them. This is so helpful and, I appreciate you giving us this important information!😊❤
Once again, just the right video for where I (we) am (are),Hearing and seeing all with you is just perfect. I was hoping you would mention the glasses for night time driving. Thank you and best wishes to you and Moose. God bless you all!

Another wonderful video Nanny ❣️ TY, for taking the time to show us/teach us so many helpful/wonderful things that we can use in our day to day life. Been such a blessing. 🥂 Best to Moose & Family
I'm 63 and had hubby put in a rail next to our shower in our tiny bathroom and one at the top of the basement stairs that helps me when I'm carrying things up. I can hoist whatever I'm carrying up onto the kitchen floor and then use the rail to balance myself to get up the rest of the way. I have a rollator due to my bad knees (left one getting replaced in June!) and I love having the seat to rest. I also have a lightweight wheelchair which hubby used before and after I had bariatric surgery. I have a purse that I can sling around my neck to be a crossbody. I am so hoping that I won't need any of these after I have both knees replaced. Europe awaits me in my retirement! One more thing...I stay in the handicapped room at the hotel so I can get off the toilet! I have a chair in my shower and the handicap rooms often have either a chair or a flip down seat.
Thank you so much nanny. This was so helpful. Honestly, I really do like the chair and also the little tool for the side of the car. Where did you get that one out and you look so lovely all the time thank you so much again nanny you’re so wonderful sending you so many blessings.❤

My husband (74) has extensive mobility issues..our bathrooms are not built for this…we have lived in our house that we bought new in 1988, unfortunately both bathrooms have tub showers and it is so hard to get my husband in ( he can’t really bend his knees at all so stepping over the tub is very difficult)… we can’t afford to have a bathroom remodel or to move so I’m looking for transfer chair to tub shower now…I wish there was a senior program available to assist in helping make one’s home safe.

Hi! I have been in some store bathrooms where the seats are sooo low! The riser is a great idea! I have learned to put my hand on the front edge of the toilet to push myself up. I am also doing exercises to strengthen my legs. Big fun!😳
Hey Nanny - such good tips ! You think you will be able to do everything forever until one day you can’t. Your whole life changes real fast! You have to figure out plan B to carry on! I love your matelasse pillow shams - that was a great deal. What brand of bed do you have…I know you love it I have The Sleep Number bed that has the adjustable mattress and it’s great, but I like the idea of being able to elevate the back like yours. A lot going on lately with the confirmations and plane accidents on the heels of the fires…I bet Moosie has been glued to the television. I took a break and watched Pride and Prejudice, one of my favorites, and Persuasion - both from Jane Austin novels. It took me away for awhile. I love the British films. Make sure you’re drinking. Sending love and blessings to you, Moosie and Shamu❤❤❤
Nanny, how do you keep that shower so clean. Yes, I love your red door. Thank you for all the great tips. You never stop teaching and we love to learn from you.
Nice video Nanny. I have the seat riser and it is so much better than the super low toilet seat we have in our second bathroom. A friend told me about it a few years ago. Makes a huge difference. I sometimes wish I had a walker with a seat when I have to stand in line places. Just standing is hard to do for a long period of time. I wonder if I need that handle thing for the car? We have a pickup truck and it is not all that easy to get into.
I think it's good for a lot of people to make everything more accessible. Wider doorways, ramps, grab bars, higher toilet seats, etc. I need to have my bathroom tub switched out for a walk-in shower probably sooner rather than later as I have a problem gaging exactly the tub height and have to be careful every time. Also have trouble putting on pants and thinking of switching to maxi dresses and skirts. I was thinking about your shower that you could either paint or stencil bright white or yellow along the area you step over to get into, in order to see/recognize it better. Could use some safety tape like they use in public locker rooms and pools, to help people notice where to step. Sort of like how a curb is painted bright yellow, or the line in the no passing zone on a road. Just an idea to help gage where to step. Could use those stickers for bathtubs. Anyway, a good video for all of us to help us keep safe. Safety first. I don't have a walker yet, but I always use the cart at the grocery store as a "walker" to help me make the trek through the store, even if I'm just picking up a few things. Good to see Shamu helping with things outside. Therapy Cat. Thank you for the video. Take care and enjoy your Sunday. See you next time.MJ ♥️🐈⬛🥤🛏️🛁⛑️🔎🚽🟨🟨🟨🟨🚿🛋️🦺
Hi Nanny! Love your cottage. So cozy looking. You decorate it beautifully. I always love your outfits. Today I love the turtleneck sweater you are wearing. I live in a cold winter climate. Always looking for turtlenecks but not tight around the neck. The ones you wear are lovely. Can you mention where you buy your turtlenecks? If so I would appreciate the information. Very happy to hear that Moosie is doing well! You also. Love your RUclips videos ❤
Alot of great information nanny I would be interested in the info on the cushion for my husband as he can't sit to long on his bum did that come from Amazon or your sons store? Thanks for all the tips. God bless the two of you. 💙💜✝️🙏🙌👍
Greetings Nanny! Thanks for all the tips! What does DME mean? Where do you find the car seat cushions? I totally get it about the walker, I don't need it until I lose my balance, so I feel safer with it. You look so good Nanny! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Hi Nanny, thank you so much for all of your helpful information. Would you please share with us the manufacturer of your mattress. I purchased a king Tempurpedic 3 years ago along with the adjustable frame. I have truly enjoyed it until recently. Its formed a body impression and not as comfortable as before. It has a 20 year warranty but I rather purchase a replacement than deal with warranty issues. Thanks Nanny!
It’s been 7 or 8 years since we purchased our bed,Suzanne…but we did get it at Sit n Sleep…we spent hours there trying out beds and they are very helpful…we did go for higher end mattresses (twin CA Kings) but I can’t remember the names…sorry. …Aire---something..❤️

I sometimes wish I had a walker with a seat when I have to stand in line places. Just standing is hard to do for a long period of time. I wonder if I need that handle thing for the car? We have a pickup truck and it is not all that easy to get into.
I now use a walker mainly for confidence because I have fallen many times. I was reluctant too at first because of pride but its all good
Nanny are you all still safe from the fires? God Bless and keep you and your family safe. Love and prayers
Yes, thank you,Sally…we are.❤️
This was great. Do one on how to order Amazon’s on phone. I have very good phone but few instructions! Love watching all these years. 80 here
I think it's good for a lot of people to make everything more accessible.
