Nanny you can save your tulip bulbs from year to year. My grandfather in Florida used to dig the bulbs and put them in the fridge until the next season. Then plant them again And he was a fabulous Gardner . Hugs..
I just love all of your videos, Nanny thank you so much you are such an inspiration.. I just love you so much thank you again for all these wonderful videos❤ and can’t leave all you always look so lovely, stunning and classy. I am a vintage girl myself, and I can say that you are beautiful.
Nanny, we grew up in Maryland and Philly , so your lox and bagel brought back memories of some wonderful real deli days! In our neck of Missouri, no real good Jewish Delis🙁or for that matter, real boiled bagels…crusty bread…lol. So many good things but lacking in those for sure. I was “today years old” when I learned about the colander as a planter…DUH!! Brilliant, decorative and definitely cheaper than a lot of planters. I will definitely be scouring shops for a variety. Have a wonderful weekend and hope to see Moosie in a video soon. Take good care.❤🥰🌷
That Lox and bagel is exactly what I get when I go to a place here called Grand Central Bagel. Yum. Your trip wasn’t a total waste. You found a good cafe. The colander was a neat idea for a garden. I have a bed spread and pillow shams like that in my favorite color, yellow. I’m so glad you are enjoying your shopping finds. I’ll have to check the Big Lots around here to see if they’re still open. So much competition, I guess, for everyone to stay open. Thanks for sharing all of your gallivanting.❤️
Hi Nanny. Here in Canada (Vancouver, so not so far north) we always plant our tulip bulbs before the first frost. Some years that's undependable, but we think we're late if we don't have them in before the end of November. I love your excursions and your home and family activities. Your thorough enjoyment of life always encourages me to enjoy my own life more deeply. God bless you and Moosie. ❤ xo karen
Hi Nanny, Thank you for sharing your fun trip today. Iced coffe, YUM! Looking forward to a few this summer. Oh, I really miss those shopping trips! As you know, I have an old 2 story home in VT, circa 1890. Nothing fancy, but its been my family home since childhood. Now that I am retired, I can't afford a vehicle. Its a total bummer. I do work a part-time gig remotely for a ReMax office out of Portland, ME to help supplement. I used to enjoy trips to Big Lots a great deal. Such a shame so many stores are closing. In my town, we have a small thriftstore, from which the proceeds go to help organizations that in turn help others. It used to be the home our priest lived in, but our local parish has merged with the next city near us. But, its pretty cool to browse in. The rooms, porch, kitchen, pantry, stairwell, and even garage are packed with goodies. I am looking forward to spring when it is not bitterly cold here (0-10 degrees most days for weeks now) to go there again. Maybe that will get me out of MY funk. 😉 You mentioned the New England snow. Yup. Another beautiful snowfall last night. This morning, sitting in my den chair where I drink my coffee, I enjoyed the view toward the east mountain as the blue sky brightened and the wind blew bright white drifts of snow off the surrounding maples. I have been waiting for a pileated to return who has been chunking away at two of those cold maples. Moosie, do you have Pileated Woodpeckers there? I love your sweater Nanny. That amber ring is gorgeous. Great find. I think that cuff was worth grabbing. It is so unique. My favorite flower packet is the varied Glads with the peachy mixed in. And, oh my, those pillow covers are up my alley for sure. Tomorrow, I will be cooking lentil soupfrom scratch, twice dredged fried pork chops (a trick I learned from Cook's Kitchen; if you dredge and let sit and then repeat, the flour coating sticks, is crispy, and keeps the chops moist), and yams with marshmallows on top. Goodnight. Love, Liz
Just loved your short "It's raining, it's pouring!". It put a lighter touch on our situation here in CA with the wildfires! The Moss Landing battery fire is 15 mins. from me. I had planned to meet my best friend there at our sandwidih shop right across from the fire on the following Sundat! The Lachs Bagel was so delicious looking! Also, the haul was great. Good luck with the garden! Here in Seaside on the Monterey Peninsula, we have Cal Am delivering our water and we pay the highest prices in the country. So, we have to keep gardening, and esp. flowers, at a minimum. So happy you and Moosie are doing so well! God Bless. Patricia
Fantastic find with those gorgeous king pillow shams! I love matelasse. Beautiful ring too! GREAT idea to use thrifted colanders for outside planting! A tip I've used often is to line them, or any container with a lot of holes, with coffee filters (from dollar store) to keep the soil from washing away through all the holes, but still allowing excellent drainage. Happy gardening! We are covered in snow and our gardening season doesn't begin until early May. However, I cut several dormant Forsythia branches about 2 weeks ago and brought them inside to force the blooms. They are just in full bloom now, and it's so cheery and uplifting to see bright Spring colour in the dead of cold January!
Hi nanny, you have motivated me to do some gardening g. Its been cold here in houston. Sure wish we had a savers here. I love to see your bargains. Enjoyed wicked, what a production!! I'm 81 and enjoy you so much.
Good morning Nanny. I am hoping to see all that flowers growing on in your garden. So beautiful and with so many wonderful colours. Your lunch made me hungry, it looked so good 😋. Love you Nanny . God bless you all. ❤
Hi nanny! I pull my tulip bulbs once all the green leafy is gone. Then I place them in a shoebox in a dark cool room until Christmas. Then I take them out, I lay them in brown paper and then pop them in the freezer for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, I pull them out and put them in the ground. 🌷🌷🌷
Love how much you enjoy a treat when you are out and about I also enjoy that as well here in North Carolina we are having some beautiful warm days and it is like a shot of good energy spring is my favorite time of year so your excitement about planting is wonderful hope you and moose have a great rest of the week❤
Hi Nanny and Moosie! Another great video! I absolutely love all your treasures! The collander is such a great idea for the garden. That bracelet is so beautiful. I know if you don't wear it, Dub will ❤️. I also love when you do your recipes. That onion soup sounds great. I will definitely try that. Bye for now, Donna Marie from New Jersey. PS, you always have such enthusiasm for lox and cream cheese that I'm going to try it one of these days😊
So often when I'm watching and listening to you, I just have to admire your enthusiasm...for so many of the things you talk about. It's really nice to witness. I love that bracelet, whether I'd wear it or not either I don't know, but it is beautiful...and if you don't wear it maybe you could find some other use for it. No better woman! x
Oh nanny, enjoy your bagels, cream cheese, and salmon and iced coffee. Looks absolutely delicious. I do enjoy your car chats. What a great idea strainers for planners. Well, the cuff is certainly different. It looks like it was made very well.
Thank you for such a nice video! I like the colander idea and will see if I can find one at our Thrift Shop. The two pillow cases are beautiful and should look very nice on your bed. I look forward to your next post. May God bless you and Moosey!! ❤️🙏
Hi from Annie you look fab and so nice you got out to the shops got a few bargains too. It is great watching you shop etc. Love that amber ring does look very nice.
Hello Nanny , well here in the UK the tulips & daffodils should be planted by end of October for a spring flowering, I dig the bulbs up once they have finished and store them in a “ paper bag” ( not in the fridge as it’s cold enough here in the uk 😂) ready for replanting in October again…. So good luck with your 🌷 & happy planting , hugs to you & Moosie from Lincolnshire 🤗🤗♥️♥️
Your colander would look cute with some herbs growing in it. I've taken to upping my onion soup now thanks to you. Loving your videos from Nova Scotia, Canada on a cold snowy day! You often encourage me! 😊
enjoy your finds!! That cuff bracelet is beautiful, not sure I could pull it off but I would lay it on a dresser or somewhere and maybe put flowers out one end or stand it up with flowers...? decorate with it I guess I'm saying. That bagel sure looked delicious!! keep'em coming!!!
Looks like you had a busy fun day!! You got some nice finds too, that bracelet is very unique. I live in MD and there will not be any planting here until April or May. We have lots of winter to experience yet and it has been one of the coldest in a long time. I love winter it is my favorite season!! I love you Nanny! xoxo ;
Wow! That was quite a bagel sandwich!! My mouth is watering. That is my favorite. Great video. Will you model outfit you decide to wear to shower please? I live vicariously through you and your fun outings. Love to you and Moosie!! Carol from Nebraska p.s. We have had less than 2 inches of snow this winter. Our average is 25 inches.
Too bad about Big Lots. I wonder what will go in there next? Maybe something better. I like the strainer flower pot idea. I think those will be interesting to see how they turn out. Also the cool extra large cuff bracelet. Looks like getting ready for warfare. Could be used as weaponry perhaps. Dual purpose jewelry. Beautiful amber ring. I love the selection of bulbs you did find. Canna Lily, Alium, Hollyhocks. I have Aliums that are very hearty and have come up year after year in my gardens. They look pretty cool too. Something different. You will find tulips eventually. Do you like all one color together or a mix of color of tulips in the same area. I guess can have both. Glad that there was some rain. You will have to keep your sweaters handy for a while as 50's and 60's sound coolish for Southern California. Sweater weather. Thank you for the video. Enjoy your week and see you next time.MJ♥️🌷👩🏼🌾💮🌿🥯🧋☀️
Nanny..where do you put it in your little frame?😅 That sandwich was huge..😋but looked really good. Have fun planting your bulbs,it's good for the soul& great exercise. Say hello to that man of yours( Moosie).
Oh, what fun. My car is in the shop. They have had it since the 10th. My precious Blubaru is 5 years old and is the very best canine taxi in the world. Apparently, they are known for their bad transmissions. Thankfully, we opted to purchase the extended warranty so instead of $19000 plus to replace it, it will only cost a $100. I am so bored as they have had it since the 10th. Now for the good news that you found your treasures. Way to go
Hi Nanny and Moose enjoyed your vid all the way on your journey When you have good health enjoy the freedom It’s been very cold here not good for my arthritis Your looking well these days 😊Hugs with love to you and Moose ❤❤M
HI NANNY. I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN AND WE BUY MOST OF OUR GARDENING ITEMS FROM ACE HARDWARE. IT IS A LOVELY STORE. PLEASE EXCUSE THE ALL CAPS, I AM TYPING AT NIGHT AND CONNOT SEE THE KEYBOARD.
Nanny …is the amber stone cool to the touch on your cheek, I always heard if it’s real, it will feel cool, if not real/plastic it won’t. I have a few of those matelasse coverlets and shams, if you’re going to sleep on them they will leave marks on your face, they do make a wonderful finishing touch when your bed is mad and they launder really well.
I googled & saw this.....The floral industry is bracing for a tough tulip season in 2025, with a combination of factors putting pressure on tulip prices, quality and availability. Dutch growers have been hit hard by an unusually rainy year, while changes in domestic production in the U.S. are adding further uncertainty.
Nanny you can save your tulip bulbs from year to year. My grandfather in Florida used to dig the bulbs and put them in the fridge until the next season. Then plant them again And he was a fabulous Gardner . Hugs..
I’m so glad you found all the bulbs you did. They’ll be beautiful 🌹❤
What a fun treasure hunt! The pillow cases are beautiful....and you have a good variety of beautiful bulbs to be planted...

Can’t believe you found a David Yurman bracelet at Savers! Nice!
It’s really not a Yurman…my friend..part of the ends reminded me somewhat of a Yurman touch…I WISH! ❤️
Mine in Colorado was closing. By the time I got in there nothing. Nothing left.

Great find. David Yurman is pricey!
Hi Nanny, I have 3 or 4 David Yurman bracelets and I love them. They are very pricey but big impact. Great find.
This is definitely NOT David Yurman….but the end trim reminded me a little of Yurman…I think it
S a boho piece…
Rain forecast for next week 🤔
You must go to Red Lobster Nanny.
🥰🥰🥰
O k now it's working
Where did you get that great black sweater?
Thanks…I can’t remember,Cathleen…it’s several years old…I have several with that shoulder ruffle…check out Amazon..❤️
I'm trying to Hit the thumbs up button and it does not register.
Baie dankie liefde

Is the salon cooked? I never had any before.
It’s smoked and ready to eat…different from salmon filets that you have to cook,Joanne…❤️
It’s cured in brine so it’s not raw
💝💝💝💝💝
❓ nanny could you tell us how much those big square pots were that you bought at Lowe’s? I need some of those.
I think I paid $11, Pamela…they’re not clay,of course….and btw…t checked the Collagen spoon…it’s a tablespoon…❤️
Nanny what about the sweater that Moosey gave you
That will nice
Can you tell me are lox salmon?? Is it cooked? l like cooked salmon but not raw fish. My fun is going to the movies on Wednesday for $5.00
Yes,Lucy..lox is salmon and derived from the Yiddish word for salmon..laks…it is cured in a salty brine and is very thinly sliced…❤️
I googled & saw this.....The floral industry is bracing for a tough tulip season in 2025, with a combination of factors putting pressure on tulip prices, quality and availability. Love the matalasse!
