    Hey guys! In this video I will be installing acura legend dual piston calipers on my integra and I will explain my setup and what worked for me. This will also work on any civic from 88-00 and any integra from 90-01.
    this OEM big brake kit consists of:
    Acura Legend Dual Piston Calipers
    2007 Mini Cooper base model rotors (280mm)

    Is there a difference between using the ITR caliper vs legend?

    • @nic3guyeddie

      Only difference would be the dual piston vs single piston. They both use the same size brake pad and rotor when used like this.

    Did you use the brake pad retainer clips from the cr-v brackets or do you use acura Tsx brake pad retainer clips on the cr-v brackets?

    • @nic3guyeddie

      Mike Corea tbh I don’t remember. I wanna say I just reused the legend ones. I know I didn’t use retaining clip on top because I would get a screeching noise

    So if I'm using a 23t caliper bracket do I need to use 3mm shims between bracket and spindle , or grind caliper brackets down by 3mm, every forum says either of the 2 and I'd like to do this on my eg, not enough Info for me to jump the gun,

    • @nic3guyeddie
      @nic3guyeddie  4 года назад +1

      GREYxLOTUS no need for shims. Just use the 23t brackets and cut off the “ears” of the brake dust shield. This will only work if you are using ex/si knuckles

    You have to flip the caliper in order to bleed it?
    You cant just bleed it upside down?

    • @nic3guyeddie
      @nic3guyeddie  3 года назад +2

      You can’t bleed them upside down. Some people mount them with the bleeders up. Only reason I didn’t do that is to retain the same orientation as the legend with the smaller piston being the trailing piston

  • @crazexskater

    Accord rotors and calipers are straight bolt on parts. I don't know why you're making it complicated. Slotted and drilled rotors are available on Ebay cheap (rotors and pads 100$) and would make more "bang for the buck"
    P.S. I have a set of double piston calipers off a legend coupe, rotors too. The G2 coupes rotors are 5 mm thicker than the factory 4 doors. And a rebuilding kit for the calipers.

    • @nic3guyeddie
      @nic3guyeddie  4 года назад

      crazexskater you can’t use accord rotors. You can use accord calipers since they are identical to ITR. But if that’s what you want to do go for it 👍
