    Thank you for making this video - reading all the info on the forums is nice but seeing everything done in a “how to” video is great!!

    surprising you used the legend brackets. I thought you were supposed to use the 23T bracket from a CR_V but I'm going guess that the forums I read, that info. was all based upon re-drilling rotors to fit 4x100. Where as now we can just use mini cooper rotors

    • @THPcars
      @THPcars  2 года назад +1

      I didn't know about the crv bracket tbh!
      Also the mini cooper rotor make this conversion way easier

      I also just read that legend caliper brackets are also 23t. all makes sense now

    Love the video, question if you are using the 5 lugs setup what rotor we can use?

    • @THPcars
      @THPcars  7 месяцев назад

      At that point I'd use the integra typeR (dc2R) rotors.
      Don't quote me on that but I think that the rotors from the honda crv off the same year are the same ...

    Awesome setup. I'll be doing this to my eg next winter. One question, can I use the same pads from the Acura legend as well? I plan on going with carbotechs pads. Much appreciated!

    • @THPcars
      @THPcars  Год назад

      Im not sure why but people usually use dc2R or tsx pad with this setup (maybe its because legend pad are difficult to find in performance type).
      I can't tell you for sure that it wouldn't work with the legend pad but if I were you I'd go with the tsx pads. You'll find them at any part store and I'm sure these fit 👌

    Why are your calipers backwards..R=right passenger side. L= left driver side

      I word for word explained why at 6:26 😂

    I just want to correct 2 things
    These acura legend calipers come on all 93-95 acura legend coupes and only 94-95 acura legend sedan GS models.
    Also the acura rl caliper isn’t at all the same it’s a single piston not dual piston.
    Also the acura nsx calipers while similar aren’t the same. The nsx calipers have cooling veins built into the caliper themselves and they say NSX on them. Not a huge deal just wanted to let ya know. You should add what caliper brackets used, I know your using legend but each Honda caliper bracket has a stamped number, so it’s like 28T this will help people ID them better as well. Also you can upgrade these further using the 96-04 acura RL caliper brackets and even a bigger rotor.

    • @THPcars
      @THPcars  2 года назад +3

      Well ...
      1 - didn't know about the 93-95 acura legend. That's good to know
      2- at 1:23 I clearly wrote "94-95 Acura legend gs caliper/braquet"
      3 - when I said "RL" caliper I misspoke and clearly correct it on the screen with "legend"
      4 - you are absolutely right that the nsx caliper aren't exactly the same but they clearly have de same stoping power and caliper/piston size. I think that's what is important to know for someone who want to do this conversion. And for the price difference, only for the "nsx" tag on the caliper and some air ven as you said, it's a deal braker when you try to keep it at low cost
      5 - RL caliper would never fit 15" wheels
      6- I clearly state in the video that you need the bracket that come with the caliper even write on the screen at 1:23 " you need 94-95 caliper/bracket". I had no problem finding the bracket with these information but you're right maybe It would help someone people having the p/n

      Greekpower what caliper would work with that setup?

    • @GreekPower
      @GreekPower 4 дня назад

      @@Michaelcsok you can run a legend or rl caliper on he 96-04 rotors.. it matters that you have the 02-04 caliper brackets. But the best solution is the type 2 caliper, rl bracket and rl rotor

  • @madmouseism
    @madmouseism 2 года назад +1

    Is there a reason you went for this upgrade over the type r calipers? Do you expect better performance from your setup?

    • @THPcars
      @THPcars  2 года назад

      From what I read the main reason to choose these over the type R is because off pads wear.
      Since they have 2 pistons instead of 1 like the type R it wear out the pads more evenly.
      But from a performance standpoint I don't think there's a difference

      @@THPcars Thanks a lot for the info! I was hesitating between the type R upgrade and the Porsche 986 calipers with the Honed kit, but I guess I have a third option to consider now!

    Do you need different spindles? or will 92civic DX spindles work? also what is the preferred Brake master for this?

    • @THPcars
      @THPcars  Год назад +1

      To be quite honest I'm not sur if the the dx spindles would fit. I got an eg6 so it's the same spindles as base integra (10.3" rotors) so if I was you I'd pickup integra spindles.
      About the master. I'd definitively would recommend using the 1" master if you still running a brake booster. Personally I got the honed developement brake booster delete kit so I had to downgrade to the 7/8 master.
