- The rarity of a Honda Nsx can’t be overstated. Yet, here we are watching our second Honda Nsx run at salvage auction within a week! It is certainly crazy to see two Honda Nsx sell at salvage auction this close together. What is even more crazy, is this Honda Nsx has a Honda K Series engine in it!
The Honda K Series Engine is the swap engine of choice into almost any Honda chassis. So much so, that it has become popular for the Honda Nsx, as OEM parts and engines are becoming hard to come by. With a massive turbo and laundry list of other modifications, I have my reservations as to why this Honda Nsx is at salvage auction. But, it’s time to see what this Honda Nsx sells for!

I know very little about these cars, but in general I'm not big on buying swapped auction cars... it's nice to be able to talk to the owner about exactly what was done and so on instead of having to guess/research etc.
It definitely adds a layer of risk to an already risky process.
@@scraplifedalt Ah, ok thanks , yes risky indeed mate. But I doubt dodge will do you for copy right laws unless you sell them 😜.
The printers are great. I draw up the sacrificial trim clips and print replacements and also blanking plates where gauges or buttons were.
That car is definitely a manual. You can see the shifter cables
The fact that the side skirts are off scares me. Somebody probably had this on the frame machine by the pinch weld and maybye there is damage that is not seen.
And here in CZ we can not swap engines :(
That’s a good point and possible. These cars being aluminum are double trouble for frame pulling. So, that would be a big concern!
It probably had aftermarket sideskirts and were pulled off before claiming insurance. Same for wheels, front bumper and rear spoiler. Typical mod for go fast boys.
It looked turbo , judging by the intake having a welded on blow off valve , but then the exhaust side looked like the high rise turbo was missing
Deffinitley a cool little setup
Honda used K20's in S200's which are rear wheel drive and K24's in Accords from 2008 which are front wheel drive. I'm not sure but it should be a strait bolt on to a NSX. This NSX appears to have a manual trans , so its probable donor was an Accord with a six speed manual trans. with the turbo the horsepower could be anywhere between 300 and 800. I agree with another comment here that the side skirts being missing probably indicate that its been on a frame machine meaning this could be a reauction.
S2000s are F20 or F22 engines. The k20 came in Rsx type s. Maybe more that I don’t know of. The k24 came in tsx also. The Honda 4 cylinders were shared nicely amongst a bunch of models.
@@scraplifedaltk20's are in Civics as well
I seen this in a new video you actually got it
Did you ever finish that viper swap bro?
Still working on it. Think I finally gave all the parts for it.
@@scraplifedalt oh that’s awesome and can’t wait to see some more of it. Love all the content on all the channels and keep em comin lol
Carrington would be the type of person to let the Car go if the price is right 😅 he already mentioned he likes building them more than having them finished
If the money makes sense, then I get it!
It could be a case of, "Lipstick on a Pig" 💋🐷 lol 😉👍
Looks like shifter lines under the intake pipe.
Are these worth big money now because of Hans orange one on Tokyo drift?
I can't see why else there worth so much
Not a Expert, But the $$ amount of the damage seemed high, for what you could see, makes me think there was something going on underneath you could not see ?
Definitely possible!
When yall doing another tear downnn
Unrelated question : What is the 3d printer printing ? 😄
Demon badges. If u watch the last Nsx video I think it is, Lee shows one. They are on our website too.
Was there a time when the insurance company didn’t come back at you with some ridiculous offer after you won a car?
Hiii
