If you haven't played the original Xenoblade, then you should try that. It has a lot of similar mechanics, and also the story is 100x better (in my opinion)

Although I beat this game 100% twice, I would gladly pay over $120 to have it on the Switch (or a sequel). Sooner or later I may break and dust out my WiiU once more, I miss that game too much.
Honestly this. It is kinda upsetting how many ways XC2 stepped back from the original and XCX in design concepts. This is a masterpiece that would be even better on the Switch and some QoL, bonuses, clean multi-player, and tune-ups
imo i think it really depends on what games you like. x is pretty nonlinear with a focus on exploration while 1 and 2 are focused on characters and story.

Jezu Sylvalum is probably my favorite game area I've ever been in. It's very unique and different from everything I've seen and it's also beautiful, majestic, and a bit eerie with all the giant monsters roaming about.
I feel ya, when I first got there it was during the day and I was like "oh neat, not a bad place and good music too". I'm not sure where I was at the time but I was around a lot of the Bubble things and the sky turned to night and the purple auroras appeared too, then the music built up, I was completely stunned.
If you like RPG's, get it. This game is absolutely amazing. There's a few flaws of course, like in every game, but what it has is completely acceptable by the other things it offers. I highly recommend this game.
In short, get it if you havnt already. Im not a big fan of rpgs, but this game is one of the best games period i have ever played period. Im about 60 hours in, and not even 50% completed. Totally worth every penny.
I love sylvalum, especially when the purple auroras are everywhere at night. Along with this music and just seeing cool sights and doing the gamepad objectives, it's a feeling that is very unique. I love it

It's a great area to traverse through as well. All of the continents are very alien looking but this is by far the most. Those hovering things, the plant life, the luminous spheres at night. Amazing stuff. And push forward a little bit, and then you are into Cauldros AKA hell on mira.

I've only explored like two percent of Sylvalum, but I think I've took in more than I have on the previous continents. The amazing Aurora Borealis, the epic music; even getting my doll wrecked less than five minutes in to exploring(seriously, that tops jumping straight into the Giant's Yawn in Oblivia)... Running and hiding from EVERYTHING in sight, absolutely beautiful.
Honestly, this is my favorite song from the entire game.You walk in from the entrance, and you're immersed in the MASSIVE world of Sylvalum and you start exploring, and when nigthtime happens, you hear this song. And it makes exploring even more beautiful. The monsters may feel very powerful, however, but I would find a spot that was safe, and just immerse myself in the music. I almost felt like I was at some sort of concert while listening to the music. One of the best places in the entire game, as well as some of the best music to lose yourself in.
How much I miss playing this game in the cold days of 2015 and 2016. I hope Monolith or whoever else makes a game like Xenoblade X again, there's just nothing like it.

storywise I haven't gotten to sylvalum yet, but gameplay wise I have, and, I was running through the continent, I decided not to use my mech, it was just a nature walk, when I encountered a clif face that twisted and turned as it grew taller, and it almost looked like a city scape to be honest, there were also a bunch of other landforms just as awe inspiring, all around it, i stopped, the music, the creatures. the ambience, the sheer scope of it, that was when i knew this was my favorite game.

I'll never forget experiencing Satorl Marsh at night for the first time 2 years ago... watching in awe as everything begins to glow and taking in the beautiful music. And now I'll never forget Sylvalum for letting me experience that moment all over again. 1:36 it's just... magical.

You mean Pharsis, the Everqueen? The second-highest-leveled tyrant in the game? Yeah, that thing can kill pretty quickly.
Beat the game, get the ultimate weapon, get gravity resist augments, equip ultrafauna slayer augments on all weapons, go to it, then go to town on it.
It’s mostly because of its Spike damage that will kill you, so you need to get 2x Antispike XX.
