Man, back when I just explored because running around was so fun and kept going north to find Sylvalum when I was only lvl 15 or so. Just jaw dropping and finally my friends can experience the same when they get there.
I cannot even fathom how many retakes must've done to record these perfect shots without aggro'ing some random Aeviter, Xe-dom, etc. because this video is a MASTERPIECE
Thanks a lot! And yes, there was a bunch of retakes, but not because of the aggroing though. I had cloak augments equipped, so I was basically ignored by all creatures there. XD The resulting size of all the recordings amounted to 130 gigs which would be way smaller if I didn't have to keep redoing a camera sequence.
@@aqryllic-rotbart hey man i like this video a lot. were you interested in doing more of these? it seems like you had made your own free camera, but you say you had to use cloaks and stuff to avoid aggroing which would be strange if you did have one. either way i had made a very rough set of camera+UI mods if you were interested, and i could also show you had to create this stuff yourself using Ghidra to mod the game on CEMU if youre interested as well.
@@blingading4324 Thank you so much for reaching out to me! I actually just used the standard in-game player camera but used the mods that came with the emulator (+ some camera work) to simulate a freecam look. I am absolutely interested in doing more of these so I would love it if you showed me how to create such mods. You can contact me via Discord (aqryllic#7357) or Twitter in my about tab. Once again, thank you!
This was freaking amazing. I love how you synced the cuts to the music! Sylvalum is the most unique continent in the game and this video really shows it's beauty.
After i saw the trailer for the definitve edition i knew i had to come back to the ost that made this game my abolute favourite game of all time. Sylvalum night is still the greates and will always be.
Why does X still look so much better than everything on switch. Not the people sure but the world is still so gorgeous and has yet to be beaten by any xenoblade since
XCX really does hold up well to this day (of course, the emulator mods make it even more pretty). The world design might still be my favorite out of all Xenoblade entries.
Hi! I just wanted to say thank you, because everytime i miss this game, i always comeback to your video. Now that X coming to Switch, i hope we could enjoy exploring Mira once again.
I just wanna say thank you! I love XCX and seeing this interpretation of the game in cinematic form is pure epicness. Really...wow! I miss XCX T_T Sylvalum is for sure my fave continent in Mira though I love all continents given how diverse each continent gives! I'm still mesmerized by this game even after 6 years, and still it ages quite looking back at the base game.
I appreciate your words. It still blows my mind today how such a vast game can run on the Wii U. Props to Monolith Soft! I do believe Xenoblade X will eventually get a port to the Switch, then we will be able to experience it again :)
Incredible! Not only is the continent in-game quite breathtaking, your cinematography and editing really captured what you were going for! Especially impressive the ways you kept the HUD from showing, and the different times/weathers! Amazing!
Haha, thank you! I'm glad my cinematography is decent enough to make you impressed! I went to the in-game options to remove all HUD elements from showing up. As for the weather, the emulator had settings that forced a certain type of weather so I didn't have to rely on the RNG of the game.
Nostalgia hit me for some reason and I was looking for some footage of this game to enjoy when I stumbled upon your video. I am in awe of how well this is put together and it really reminded me of first entering Sylvalum which is still one of my favorite areas in any game. Thank you for making such a lovely fan film.
In awe of this... literally got chills while watching!! Loved that you had a section for the aurora, the first time I saw it I knew Sylvalum was my new fav place!

Man, I love that people still play this game even seven years later. X may not be as beloved as 1 and 2, but it still remains my favorite game in the series, and Sylvalum is my favorite area both for its incredibly chill music and it's incredibly unique area design. At first you think it's a snow level, but it's actually somthing completely different. Honestly, I think it's the most 'alien' of the game's environments. The video was pretty stunning as well, the choreography and cinematography really complimented the music and atmosphere, I can tell a lot of work went into making this. Have a like and sub.
Thank you so much! Yeah, for me Sylvalum is my favorite area. Not only is the design unique but the theme is also epic, which really inspired me to make this video. I believe it's only a matter of time before Xenoblade X gets a port to the Switch. Then, I hope it will be recognized more.

@@fieldkaiju If you're about the sceneries at 2:05 and 2:31 for example, that was just standing from one of the rock arcs/ledges. In 3:12, I had my skell fly upwards and ascending towards the camera which makes the model invisible. For 4:50 I had my skell fly way up into the (in-game) ceiling which would cause the skell also to be invisible and have it stay at the place if I keep it ascending, even though it's already rubbing against the ceiling. Sadly, there's no free camera tool, which would have been great and make the filming much less frustrating and time-consuming.
