I wanted to leave a somewhat bigger message here, so if you care, feel free to give this one a read. Ever since I started this series, I’ve been absolutely in love with it in every way possible. It is, in many ways, what I would describe as the perfect video game. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted out of a video game. I remember, before the release of 3, searching for Xenoblade content on YT and finding… a surprisingly small pool of videos related to Xenoblade. Sure, there were lore and speculation videos, and a bunch of memes-usually related to Xenoblade 2 and its characters. You’d find rare gems like the Out of Bounds video for XC on the Wii or some essays on the first or second game, but that was about it. I was craving different kinds of videos for a series I had really started to adore. A weird thought popped into my head one day… Why don’t I try it myself? I started off with memes, but eventually I didn’t feel satisfied making them. Over time things evolved, and I made connection videos between 1 and 2 and the newly released 3. Back then, I used an AI for my voice, since I’d never spoken English before and hated how my voice sounded. All those videos were made on my phone, with me getting all the footage by transferring Switch clips to my phone for hours-lmao. Then, I saw a lot of people online craving a massive trailer for the entire series. So, I made one. Even two years later, that trailer is still in my top 5 most-clicked videos each month. Eventually, I built my PC and was able to do so much more. I made a massive tribute video for the Klaus Saga, Out of Bounds videos for each game, and now, an entire size comparison for Xenoblade. It’s kinda wild for me that, after all this time, I was the one who decided to just say, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.” Granted, I’m definitely not satisfied with this video-just like I wasn’t with the first trailer-though it’s much more pronounced this time. I have so much more ambition and want to do so much more, but I’m often restrained by my experience or lack of knowledge. From extracting the models and figuring out where they’re stored among all those numbers and letters, to converting them into a format Blender could work with, to learning Blender... my lord. Blender is an incredibly powerful tool, but it’s also the most complex piece of software I’ve ever worked with. Honestly, most of the many months spent working on this project were devoted to learning Blender. Nate was responsible for arranging and creating the first and last scenes, and without him, I wouldn’t have been able to release at least one other video every 1-2 weeks. This is what we were able to create. Yes, you’ll see some errors and mistakes here and there. Yes, I unfortunately noticed some spelling mistakes even after the final render. Yes, the World Tree sucks. The PNGs you see in the background of XC2 are the same ones we used because there’s no 3D model of that tree. We tried to create our own tree, but it didn’t work out, and even making those PNGs transparent didn’t work. We’re clueless. This is the best we could’ve done with the time we had. Many, many hours went into this project, and you’d be doing me such a massive favor by sharing this video with others who love this series as much as we do. Thank you all so, so much for being here. I hope you enjoyed this video, even just a little. I’ll definitely be slowing down toward the end of the year because I’m very, very tired. I usually keep quiet about these things, but I’ve felt burned out for quite a while now-and not just a little bit, to be completely honest. So, yes, things will get quieter. However, I still want to stream a bit more over the holidays. Maybe I’ll play some indie games, explore new series, talk with you all, or play some games together with you. I’d like to do something cool like that. Okay, that’s enough text. Thank you all for everything and for reading this wall of text. I wish you all a fantastic day. Have a good one, folks.
thank you for your hard work ""I was the one who decided to just say, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.”" man I really wanted all characters(all enemies as well) and I might just do it myself(i have near zero experience with blender)
I want to comment on some things you mentioned here. 1. Your voice. You mentioned how you hate how your voice sounded, and although i can't possibly know how much it changed, if at all really, i CAN tell you that your voice is very nice and great to listen to, and your accent is genuinely pretty funny a lot of times, (especially when you're already trying to be funny) and it makes your videos better, lol. Basically, you shouldn't be self-conscious of your voice at ALL anymore, you should be proud of it. Also, what's your accent? I might have forgotten, but i'm also pretty sure it's German, correct? 2. About how difficult you said all thia was. I just want to let you know that your hard work & dedication to your YT channel and the Xeno community as a whole do NOT go unnoticed. You are a VERY important part of our community, especially because of the reasons you stated. (Primarily, you making kinds of Xeno videos that nobody really has before.) 3. You mentioned that you were burnt out. If you truly are, then i wouldn't even care if you took the ENTIRE rest of december (especially because of Christmas) off, and maybe even January or more time if needed. You've MORE than earned a break like that, bro! However long you take a break for, we'll be waiting for you to finally post again, so don't worry!
Not only has this answered my questions on the scale of the titans from X1 and 2 it’s also probably the cleanest models of the bionis mechonis and castles I’ve seen. Thank you for making this
Damn, i did not expect Agnus and Keves Castle to be larger than the Zu Pharg! I'll admit it's been nearly a decade since i actually fought it lol but still. Did also not expect Gormott to be so tiny. Aionios really made it look like it was pretty evenly sized with the other titans.
@@Schbevenant All of those sizes have to be taken with a grain of salt, considering that sizes constantly change. As mentioned at the start of this video. So each measurment was taken from their respective titles and where you'd usually see them. Takahashi said the Bionis is 3000KM in size. So it all doesn't matter tooooo much I guess ^^ It's just "game accurate" in this video. Or as close as possible.
the Zu Pharg will always FEEL larger to me, given that you fight it (instead of watching a cutscene). I clearly remember a sense of meaningless struggle, as my skell slowly catches up to him, my top speed just barely enough to reach it.
So Dickson was a manlet amongst giants. This explains so much. Mmh.... And Origin and Oblivia's rings are similar in size... New food for my theory that Origin lays dormant at the bottom of Oblivia's canyon!
Fantastic work! One of the biggest hallmarks of the Xeno series is size, scale, and grandeur. Seeing everything in comparison is mind blowing. Speaking of mind blowing, that second outer orbital ring has got my mind racing with all the possibilities! Especially with Xenoblade X's "destruction of Earth" explosion emanating from a seemingly significant distance from Earth. And then you have the other 2 beanstalks from the Siren Model. The moon base. And the Definitive Edition space station with no beanstalk that was oddly and verrrry curiously NOT retconned when Alvis's core crystal was added.... Just what the hell is going on? Anyway, back to the video, Kudos to all your and everyone's hard work on this project. You've got me inspired!
Was such an honor to help you create this project Sparks :) Even though it had its up and downs when it comes to the learning curve of Blender, it was more than worth it in the end. Won't forget the experience creating this alongside you and look forward to more from you :)
Funny that you mention it lol. It's the only one I needed help with, considering it's part of a map that isn't on Switch. But I reaaaally wanted to have this one included. So someone helped me with the ring. And it's there! So I'm happy too :D
Crazy to see how the titans actually compare to one another. I always thought if Bionis and Mechonis were to somehow enter Alrest they'd be way bigger than the titans there, seeing it like this now is just another level of "yea the others wouldn't even stand a chance" :D

So fun fact; while these are accurate to the in-game models for the Bionis and Mechonis, the models are significantly sized down for gameplay rendering purposes. According to Takahashi, their true story sizes are comparable to Japan in terms of Bionis/Mechonis height vs Japan's lengthwise distance, making them somewhere in the neighborhood of 3000 km tall.
I know you said certain things couldn't be properly measured, but it's kinda funny to think that there are ships in Star Wars that are longer than the Bionis and Mechonis are tall, namely the _Executor._ I also wish we saw Z∞ and Chimera Lao solely to compare the sizes of the final bosses. 😂
While i can accept gormott being the smallest landmass titan, i can't accept it being small enough to almost be swallowed by Uraya, that shit can't be right.
Aww, no White Whale? I think it's "real World" size was estimated to be about 5.5+ Km in length, using the size of the Tennis Courts in the Residential District to calculate the width of NLA, and then counting how many NLA's long the ship is. But now I'm curious about the size of the model itself, if the ship even has a model since it only ever appears in cutscenes (or the title screen if you let it sit long enough).
Awesome video. These are based on in-game models of course. Do you think in universe the sizes are different? Like, people live on Bionis and the othe Titans. I feel that in universe they should be the size of tiny countries on earth. What do you think?
You can search on YT for a video discussing the height of the Bionis. Probably using the same method as me. The games have coordinates, which are accurate. We know how high Shulk is for example. 1.71m I think? And if you go with the freecam (which has those coordinates built in) to his shoes and his head, you'll get the same results. So I did the same thing with Bionis. It's also always the same, both if you're on the Mechonis fallen arm or Bionis leg. I also think that 13KM isn't exactly impossible. The Mount Everest is 8.9KM high. So it's almost 1.5x the size of the biggest mountain on earth. But Takahashi said it's 3000KM high, so what do I know lol
@@SparksOpus We refer to that as gameplay and story segregation, obviously the Wii would not be able to handle Bionis at it's canon height, so its height in game is stunted for performance, if Takahashi says that Bionis is 3000km, it do be that
@@ArceusDX Okay, but it would make a video like this one impossible to make with canon in mind. What would be the height of the other titans be then? Or enemies? There is a reason I put a disclaimer at the start of this video, mentioning those sizes being "in-game accruate". That's it.
I feel silly even asking this, but what's with the second Orbital Station? The other stations are also on the inner ring, no? I can't recall there being a further ring.
Do you have any idea what causes this strange head twist on some XC1 models? I've been having that issue myself but I never figured out what caused it.
So up until 4:00 those are gormott’s feet in the background right? Yeah at 4:21 you can see origin beneath gormott, honestly I feel like the scale is definitely off here, Origin can’t be that much smaller than gormott’s head for example.
Thought alpha was bigger, at least bigger than Siren. Maybe i was expecting to much cause he is the final boss of the saga. And wow, mor ardain trying to conquer Gormott when its way smoller.
What’s the song called at the beginning Ik it’s got to do with Zanza I’ve heard it in chronicles 1 scenes but I’ve never been able to find it, also a heavy alpha connoisseur
holy shit the world tree not counting the orbital station is taller than the vascular plant. thats not a record i expected a game to beat. sasuga xenoblade
bro i swear mor ardain isnt that big in xenoblade 3😂 in xenoblade 3 the ardainian hand is way smaller than even the head of the bionis but in this vid the right arm is huge.... i guess its a modeling issue as cutscene mor ardain isnt even that big compared to its counterparts

Like, people live on Bionis and the othe Titans. I feel that in universe they should be the size of tiny countries on earth. What do you think?
Its been stated that in universe bionis and mechonis are around the size of japan
I never knew the conduit was 60 meters tall.
I thought it was roughly the size of the Monolith from A Space Odyssey, being 11 ft or 3.3528 m tall.
How did you get the measurements for the two XC1 Titans? 13km feels a bit short imo
That's it.
Gormott is THAT small??
I feel silly even asking this, but what's with the second Orbital Station? The other stations are also on the inner ring, no? I can't recall there being a further ring.
Woah, that's interesting! Is there somewhere we can get the models for these things?
Yeah, from the games themselves lol
Do you have any idea what causes this strange head twist on some XC1 models? I've been having that issue myself but I never figured out what caused it.
Unfortunately, I have no clue ^^" Sorry.
The comparison starts at 1:06
So up until 4:00 those are gormott’s feet in the background right?
Yeah at 4:21 you can see origin beneath gormott, honestly I feel like the scale is definitely off here, Origin can’t be that much smaller than gormott’s head for example.
Thought alpha was bigger, at least bigger than Siren. Maybe i was expecting to much cause he is the final boss of the saga. And wow, mor ardain trying to conquer Gormott when its way smoller.
Any comparison possible between new los angeles and other notable things in this video?
This was cool
But would anyone know what size is Torna
How’d you get all the models?
From my own games. Join the Discord mentioned at the end/description for the tools for extracting them.
What’s the song called at the beginning Ik it’s got to do with Zanza I’ve heard it in chronicles 1 scenes but I’ve never been able to find it, also a heavy alpha connoisseur
It's "Ancient Mystery", I put the songs names in the subtitles :)
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS A SECOND RING
Takhashi explain yourself now
am i late ? 😮
Never :)
Yo mor ardain a big boy
holy shit the world tree not counting the orbital station is taller than the vascular plant. thats not a record i expected a game to beat. sasuga xenoblade
There's no way a manon is taller than KOS
Weird
0/10 No Turters
bro i swear mor ardain isnt that big in xenoblade 3😂 in xenoblade 3 the ardainian hand is way smaller than even the head of the bionis but in this vid the right arm is huge.... i guess its a modeling issue as cutscene mor ardain isnt even that big compared to its counterparts
Yea it looks like it was accidentally stretched sideways
