@@ExtremeClashingyes? not just Magnus, in fact it is very common at the super GM level, they only need to see a game once to memorize it. Simply because the way they are experiencing the game is nothing like you and I.
There are many examples where Hikaru can solve a very difficult puzzle before a 1200-1500 rated player can even conceptualize where the pieces are on the board. This is because the way his mind is storing the information is extremely efficient and it is necessary for the level of calculation they are doing.
Super GMs can take in the whole board state at once with a glance. Chess boards to Magnus or Hikaru are like letters or symbol are to us. They just see it and know what it means. Tactics or patterns are like words (a combination of letters.) A game is like a sentence or a paragraph for them.
This analogy isn't perfect, but it can help better understand how they can process and memorize so much. It is all encoded somewhere in their brains. They know and have seen basically every pattern possible already, a chess game is just a series of those patterns.
So in short, if we were to try to do this it would be extremely gruelling and borderline impossible, but that is because we don't have the necessary mental framework or experience needed.
Brains are very malleable and can be trained to do amazing things if there is a need. I believe memorizing games like this is just second nature to them, this ability is just a natural consequence of what it means to be that good at the game. There are levels to this

That is good for his immune system. I was actually surprised to see that mask, because it is common knowledge that masks do not stop viral infections at all, and are actually quite unhealthy. Apparently, intelligence is a relative concept.

stupid question but only 1100 here, why didn't he take the black bishop on H2 with his king? is it because the bishop will choke the line for the queen to stop mate after the knight moves down to g4?

    • @AKhan0372

If Qh4, white has Qf4 stopping the mate. Black wanted to exchange the queen because he is up a piece, and his king is in danger.

He should have played Knight to E4 before doing check with the bishop. Nakamuras knight is pinned in front of the queen and if nakamura didn’t move either the queen or the king, he could have done check with the bishop and attack the queen at the same time while being protected by the knight, I think that was a way better move than bishop to h6

Pawn to g4 followed by pawn to f3 then gets difficult to calculate at video 259. Trying to bring more pieces into game. My instincts says mate should be there somewhere. I am 2000 rated not nearly in there level in talent.

Who Is A FIDE Master? The FIDE Master (abbreviated as FM) title is one of the official titles a chess player can receive from the International Chess Federation (FIDE). It is the third-highest title a player can achieve, coming only after the grandmaster and international master titles.

I don't know much about chess, but i find these fast (blitz?) variant funny. But one thing caught my eye.
The clock should give like 1 or two seconds back once player pushes it, because it is how long takes any player to perform the actual move itself.
