I have worked a lot on all types of equipment, and have a lot of ideas, when using a jack to straighten out a tube you can make a shape a piece of flat metal the same shape you are pushing dents out of the tube by using a piece of tubing with the inside diameter of the jack head welded to your metal. Heck I built one for the township to straighten out culverts that had a flat spot on! Hope this helps
really like your videos, thanks for making them and posting! looks like you got that all back together pretty fast! Hope to see more of what goes on in your neck of the woods! Thanks again!
At least you have a good dealership who a) have the parts b) can deliver them that fast. I probably would have to wait at least one day for those parts. Good video!
I'm really impressed with the way you have dealt with a major breakdown. I know it would help to have help but finding good help is hard to do. You have demonstrated why American produces the best in agriculture, character, work ethic, and stubbornness. Rock 'n Roll!
If anyone doubts what one young man can accomplish all on his own, you should be O.K. after watching this video. He tore it down, ordered the right parts and put it back together. I could not be more impressed.
Ok so am I the only one , but never grew up on a farm and have zero clue about farming, but I would totally be a farm hand and work for nothing. To be part of something so great that’s a true life experience.....great channel and content...🍻🍻🍻🍻
I used a scissor car jack for that exact thing for combines. Welded big pipe to top and bottom. Cut pipe in half so when you put it in that spot your dent is you jack it up and it pushed it back round. Works great.
I ran across your channel less than a week ago and started watching in the middle somewhere, and it just felt like I was missing something. So here I am I started back at the first video. I almost want to slow down so I don't peak too early....lol? This is better than binge watching any show on Netflix! You guys rock!
Once my dad was in a bad situation with our old case 1680 combine, first the front wheel broke off of the axle. But as they were working on it the back axle broke and it fell to the ground. One reason we got a Deere is because we have parts right in town, but with the case we had to drive at least 100 miles to get parts.
We had the same exact problem with the clean grain elevator. Loves to come out. But won’t go back in. Anyway love the vids and social media posts. Wish you had better quality camera tho. Can’t complain.
We had to take that chain out of a 9660 put in a new one and bearings and bolts and all that stuff. That was fun. Not. But we did get back to the field.
You should have whoever is working on the equipment write their names down behind the the repair that was done on that piece of equipment that way you can see how many times it falls apart after being wrenched on then you or your father or uncle can decide if the hired help either gets fired or stays working on your farm
I saw toward the end of video when you got it back together and you started it in shop... it threw a code... was that a hydro pressure code of some sort? My 9770 does that sometimes usually only when it sits for a long time... does yours do the same ? It’s always kind of worried me but usually if I shut it off and fire again it goes away
this would be classified as a T. I.F. Technician Induced Fault. One way to prevent this is to mark each fastener with a paint pen as it is torqued to spec.
4 things1. How many acres y’all farm? 2. Did the bolts come out, or brake off? 3. If backed out thread lock. 4. Did a good job fixing it yourself, most young people would have let dad/grandpa help fix it.
If you would turn the damn radio down you would have heard it before it caused that much damage judging by how egged out the bolt hole was in the flange it had been beating itself to death for a while. This is from experience as I work at a dealer and have seen this happen way more than once.
Manufacturers make a fortune off parts for these big complex machines. John Deere actually bought the patent to simple threshing system combine developed by a couple of clever farmers. They wouldn’t be able to make big money on parts with this combine so they shelved it and stuck with the more complex ones to make money.
the way you were acting is seems like you were the one who left the bolts loose. Not sure though. could have been way worse though, so you averted disaster by grabbing the elevator buckets. Wish I could have seen how you might have grabbed a wrench and stuck in it to get to the top to see why it wouldn't turn all the way around at the top. Hope you fueled back up before leaving. I had to laugh when you saw ups driving away, no no don't go I need my parts!!!

Way to hang in there and get it fixed

A big hello from a small town Thurles in Ireland 🇮🇪
That is one very nice shop. It makes life much easier when things like this happen.
PS: Whenever you break an elevator chain... think VISE-GRIPS!
Much respect for your hard work and general attitude young man ♥
That was really exciting; I was on the edge when that chain was about to fall down on you. Glad you got back to work outside.
Proud of you Chet!! A break down and you ordered parts and fixed it.
If anyone doubts what one young man can accomplish all on his own, you should be O.K. after watching this video. He tore it down, ordered the right parts and put it back together. I could not be more impressed.
Yep, you got talent with a camera and a combine. Grear video. Keep up the good work
Nice repair job! Way to stick with and get it back in the game!

Always tie a rope on the Clean Grain chain anytime you break the chain apart!!

Napalm182 Napier west central Mn
Did you say your grandpa was going to Milbank SD for parts @ Kibble Equipment. Kibble has a couple of stores around my parts ( Tracy, Mn )
Good fix Chet! 👍 Has anyone even fallen into your shop pits?
You are too cute to be a farmer. You should be a model.

Привет молодец!!!💪💪💪
Where do you guys farm?
Hiya, did it come undone or break? I guess no way to know for sure but having seen your work I'm going with broken! Stay safe...Steve...

I get more work done with the radio turned up and at night when I can’t see either
New Sub 🚜👍
Who made the original repairs?
Should of used a torch to heat up the metal to soften it so less force needed. Great job getting it back up and running quicky as u could.
3 combines, how much ground do you farm?
They should be cutting more than 300ac/day with 3 combines
Perseverance Chet
cool
Where is the 45 ft draper 😂
❤❤❤
How it looks in USA in Poland you can't drive with heder if he has more than 3 meters sorry for my Englisch
Whenever I see something broke like that and scattered parts...I look for a coyote knocked out and a crate nearby labeled ACME!
What gave you the clue that someone was wrong? Did you hear the pounding? Did some warning light go off?
SEND IT
Why do you have to two way mics in your combine
Farmguy605 _ midland mxt115 and haven’t took the cb out that was in here

As Red Green say, "If it's male or mechanical you'll have trouble with it sooner or later".
Did that say full send on the window with everyone's name and tally marks?
You bet
How did this breakdown happened? I cannot just happen for no reason....
He said it wasn't tightnd right?
Loose bolts someone forgot to tighten up
how to go dougo
hw to go dougo
I have to admit , I didn t think your jack idea was a good one. I thought that you just push sheet metal out at the bottom of the jack. God job.
First comment lets go
It’s breaking down.
Overwatch says stop breaking down.
…It stopped breaking down
Not one cuss word! How? Just how
Video editing :-)
How was that a SELF INFLICTED BREAKDOWN ??
Bruce Malo didn’t tighten all the bolts.
@@LarsonFarms uh ooh... wouldn't want to be around when the BOSS hears about this one !! 😯
At least you weren't screaming MAYDAY on that handy dandy radio...
