I had to get cataract surgery three years ago because it was fun running with me in another rig going down through traffic in seattle.. New eye lenses make a world of a difference. Highly recommended.
Please have mercy on dad , I worked for John Deere for 24 years as a technician first in the shop then in the largest service truck that any dealership has ever seen , I had a F750 with a Summit bed on it . It was a 16 foot bed with a 14,600 pound crane that was three sections out to 30 feet it was a best . Well do to horrible management after 8 years with the company I had enough. And know I am filling a seat driving and I love it . I have tanker , hazmat already and will have my TWIC , shortly just waiting on the gov BS
Use a portable mobile bench adjustable heights , a vice, electrical fitting to attach e/tools, lights(various types) & maybe a drawer to hold required tools #portable/equipment 😃 Please take care! Each of you are very very #valuable #helpful#ideas thank you for being wonderful persons 👍
About 20 years ago when i was working for a fertilizer company, in which I was a applicator i was spraying a winter wheat field in the spring around the outside of the circle , i was watching my outside boom and didn't see the still relatively hidden goose hunters pit and ran my Agchem Rogator sprayer doing 14 mph into it and it thru me into the steering wheel and i snapped it right off at the base , it left a mark
Varilux! I agree 100%. Also wish I had three arms and a light in my forehead. I know it would look funny but folks with Varilux would never see me unless the little window of vision was lined up perfectly.
I think that would be a nice job for your Mother and or Nikki to apply all that written notes on your maintenance into a data base program for your maintenance records you can probably find some maintenance software at your local computer outlet that would fit your needs this would be a nice upgrade to keep tabs on all your maintenance, so much easier and quicker just a thought good luck guys...maybe Erik might have some good ideas also Chet with all of his knowledge could work out just fine...
Avec toute cette maintenance que vous effectuer sur vos machines, vous les connaissez par cœur, aussi bien que ceux qui les ont construites chez John Deere, bravo à vous
Good job on the repair Chet. If I was Dougo I'd be proud as I'm sure he is. My son used to laugh at my little struggles like Chet does at Dougo funny stuff.. thanks for making the videos and sharing your lives..
Chett, You are way better at diagnosing problems and wrenching than Dougo. The old fella doesn't have the patience & thought process you have. well done kid. Love your vids.
I agree with you about chipping equipment. The extra power puts more stress on the transmission and rear end and something is going to break and when it does it’s a major repair bill$$$.
What a farm ! I'm watching you from France . You have very clean sheds and materials . I like your videos even if ican understand just a few words because i don't speak english .VERY INTERESTING VIDEO ANYWAY
Videos are getting better and better all the time they’ll go is getting more Cameron time all the time guys make a good pair your shirt for being a father and son keep up the great work I watch every video!!!
Glad to see you both still work on stuff. Most people send it out and have someone else do it. They have fancy shop and lots of tools and don't use them. Too bad you are so far away, I have a bunch of spare peterbilt cross members from projects I have done over the years.
Looks to me like John Deere quality control needs to step up and be more observant on what’s happening in the shop. My opinion. Great videos and great job, stay safe.👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Glasses are a must with Lego Log Houses. John Deere farm equipment..is best left to the people who have the education to work on them...that let's you guys out!!!...Lego Toy builders....who need new glasses....lol...are you have fun now??? Lol....
boy i would of loved to worked for ur dad--uns got a pit to work on the trucks, be able to grease things easier, change oil, well heck just about everything. lol. nice, nice garage -first class the whole way.
Love Veralux! I can imagine you guys have a bunch of stock in thread locker! an electronic log would be fantastic with automatic reminders for service intervals.
@joe mathis I started watching 10th Generation first, and then the You Tube recommendations showed me Millennial, then Larson, and Cornstar. I pretty much watch all of them. Pretty interesting. Millennial is kind of in a different league right now with all of the free stuff he is getting. It's like an empire.
What are you talking about?? I've only heard one "Cornstar" reference in a Larson video and it involved if that "farm name" was printed on the trucks they use to deliver grain in 😜😁 (Funny as hell question BTW)....of course there is no comparison IMHO....Chet and Dougo to me are genuinely funny and entertaining
@joe mathis I actually have to thank "Cornstar" for finding this channel.....it was on a live feed that his little brother Cooper answered a question of which farming channel he watched a liked that he mentioned Larson Farms and caused me to look it up....But to me, and I'm just being honest here, Cole plays to the "tweens" and "little old lady" crowd and most of his followers seem to be more like cult members than fans of a You Tube channel. I mean when the DOG starts getting fan mail as he said in a video, I hit the unsub button.
Something to add to your turning predicament. At the dealer I used to work at they hook hoses up to the scvs on the tractor pulling it to the steering cylinders and just make your chain shorter than the hoses and the tractor operator can make it go wherever he wants.
Hi Chet! Great video. Glad you like entertaining us, I like being entertained in my spare time! Love your sense of humor and how you jump in and get stuff done! I look forward to your next video. Thanks for posting the videos!
Love your videos about life on your farm! Not much different from ours. Whats the 2 smaller tractors do? Planter tractors too? We have a 600 quad that we've chipped because when we pull the tile plow it pulls better when its going so slow. And in the fall it pulls a summers 40ft chisel plow set for anhydrous and an 11 shank 870 ripper . Both can pull hard in our type of ground in freeborn county the chip makes a big difference. 3 seasons on it and haven't had any problems. If used right chips are ok. Oh and in our shop when some yells ouch some will say "nothin"! Like i didnt feel nothin. It usually makes the guy that said ouch mad!
Thanks Chet, and I been wearin glasses more than 20 years. Wearin glasses ain't nothin more than a helper what you always gotta be helpin so you can get help.
I need you to TRANSFER ALL the information that you have in the maintenance books, to the computer, and film it's entirety. I would really look forward to seeing that particular episode 😜. Rich(UK)🥰
They do make those exact wrenches they are called line wrenches they look like box end wrenches but they have a space just big enough to slip over the lines they start at like 1/4 " or 3/8" who knows how big they make them I know snap on gas them for sure
Hey Larson farms I work on combines and on that elevator chains use a die grinder to cut those s chips off. Deere’s s clips are a pain to Bend much easier to cut them
Great video! Locktight makes a chapstick type applicator, so you have no liquid running all over. Works great. Surprise Dougo with a floor zamboni for Christmas or birthday. Keep the laughs coming.
Your Dad is so damn correct on enjoy your vision while yea have it! if I don't have my reading glasses im pretty much screwed for up close viewing! Your video's are well liked here they are just a day to day shit that happens that everybody can relate to!
Before I got my 9470RX i pulled my high speed with an 8370RT. I was able to go 10 when the ground was flat. Your 8520 is probably closer to 300 i suppose. Lot of 8-9 when i found any incline.
i drove a 8400 in 18 with a 500 bu cart in mud where we were dragged the frames i like it wasn’t nothing guess that’s the difference in us southern boys from the yankees
Good job,,, quickly becoming my favourite you tube farm channel,,, MNMF is getting to big for his boots, And the cornstar is trying to convince us he loses a quarter million a year....you have a ways to go to get ahead of the Harmless farmer,,, quite entertaining and funny... cheers!
My Grandfather would be blown away by all the different farm machinery you have, all he had was a mule, nothing else. 70 yrs. ago,
Chet I will never get bored of you and Dougo working together on equipment. You show us it as it is, no hiding things. Top video Chet keep them coming
They remind me of my dad and I.
Hello Chet , Dougo , you need spot lights to work in that space on the combine.OUCH Dougo smash his fingers.Good job Chet.
This is an old obe for me. I didn't know Dougo had a push floor washer before he got the ride on one. No wonder he's so proud of it...lol
I had to get cataract surgery three years ago because it was fun running with me in another rig going down through traffic in seattle.. New eye lenses make a world of a difference. Highly recommended.

Don’t want to insult you but you’ve been taught the right way
About 20 years ago when i was working for a fertilizer company, in which I was a applicator i was spraying a winter wheat field in the spring around the outside of the circle , i was watching my outside boom and didn't see the still relatively hidden goose hunters pit and ran my Agchem Rogator sprayer doing 14 mph into it and it thru me into the steering wheel and i snapped it right off at the base , it left a mark

Chet , I agree with you about chipping diesels out . They will wear out quicker . Diesels are made for torque you know that .

It awesome how you make little shots at "cornstar" always get a kick out of it!
They both make great video's. I imagine cornstar can find a way to shoot back.
@joe mathis plus they all seem to be pretty fun loving, laid back people.

You are not alone, Dougo! Those Varilux glasses suck, I wore the damn things for two days, took 'em back and got my lines back! Much better!!
Something to add to your turning predicament. At the dealer I used to work at they hook hoses up to the scvs on the tractor pulling it to the steering cylinders and just make your chain shorter than the hoses and the tractor operator can make it go wherever he wants.
In one of the other farming videos, the guy uses an led light that clips to his hat. I bet you d like that
Hi Chet! Great video. Glad you like entertaining us, I like being entertained in my spare time! Love your sense of humor and how you jump in and get stuff done! I look forward to your next video. Thanks for posting the videos!

You can purchase a chain breaker at your local John Deere dealer, beats the grinder and air punch. And safer also.
You guys are funny.
Entertaining, I am working right there with you (or trying not to get in your way). thanks for sharing
Thanks Chet, and I been wearin glasses more than 20 years. Wearin glasses ain't nothin more than a helper what you always gotta be helpin so you can get help.

You call your dad dougo. I call my dad steady. Glad they are both cool with it.
That's good pose there dougo
Love the video
Good job,,, quickly becoming my favourite you tube farm channel,,, MNMF is getting to big for his boots, And the cornstar is trying to convince us he loses a quarter million a year....you have a ways to go to get ahead of the Harmless farmer,,, quite entertaining and funny... cheers!
I know the feeling I have to wear trifocals. Hell to get old.
You need some new fangled LED work lights on tripods. Chargeable battery operated, and very bright.
That's one big operation you have there.
Super video
